These guys are very honest very helpful and caring for their customers, i have always had trouble with dishonest mechanics, so i am glad to have found them out, they have good prices as well

I have been looking for a long time for a mechanic that is honest, dependable, and reliable. Anthony and the mechanics at Foreign Motor Service are the answer. Every time I have taken my car there, Anthony has taken the time to explain to me what options I have available in a scenario such as repair/​recondition or replace, OEM vs. aftermarket, and the cost and benefits/​drawbacks of each choice. I can also see that they care deeply about their work and customer satisfaction is their #1 priority. Best of all, the shop is AAA approved. AAA does not just give their approval to anyone, only the best. But, what spoke volumes to me, is that every time I go there, I end up meeting customers who have been going there for a long, long time. In fact on my last visit, the customer I spoke to had been going there for 8 years. Rest assured that this is the best place to take you vehicle.

I had a tire blow out on the 10 while driving Los Angeles to Las Vegas. AAA sent me to Foreign Motor Service, who did a great job getting me back on the road safely, quickly, and at a reasonable price. Anthony was friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. It is a smaller, family business, and it was clear they really cared about the quality of their work and the concerns of their customer. They definitely did a great job helping me out of a jam and I would readily recommend their service to anyone in the area or just passing through.

I have been going to Foreign Motor Service for many years and always had GREAT service. Back in March 2012 I found out that had I go in to the hospital to remove a cancer tumor. AT the same time, my fuel pump and battery went, so they needed to be replaced. I talk to Anthony at Foreign Motor and he said he would do the repairs and keep my van for me until I could pick it up.
After my surgery, I had to go to a convalescent center because of my serious condition and I ended up being there for 7 months. In the mean time, the registration was due in July and the van also had to be smog. Anthony had come to visit me several times and the one time he came to visit me, I told him about the registration was due in July and he told me not to worried because he would take care it. When I was finally release the last day of October, I went to pick up my van and it was all ready for me. Anthony had done all the repairs, smog it and paid the registration out of his own pocket. Anthony is the best and I would take never take my van anywhere else, except Foreign Motor Service.

I broke down only blocks away, a quick AAA tow got me here. They looked busy but got me a rebuilt alternator, connected it to my battery quickly. Only a few hours I was back on my way. Amazingly it was for less than the estimated price!

This auto shop is our go to place for car repairs, tune ups, etc. They do great work, they are friendly and the owner, Anthony, is very knowledgeable!
And…they are AAA certified!

I came here to get an oil change, was out in like 30min and were reasonably priced. Nice guys, good service and I would recommend!

I was shocked to hear that my Mercedes had been stolen from their parking lot after I left it there to fix a minor issue. I thought they were kidding because a couple of days ago the technician Anthony just lost my key. When the same guy called me again to inform me they also lost my car, I thought he was joking to me. Sadly it was not a joke. Even the police officer that wrote the report was suspicious of what’s going on there. The odd of losing either a key or a car is very rare, and if they happened consecutively, the odd is extremely low in normal situation.
To make me feel even worse, the technician didn’t sound apologetic in either accident, even the word «sorry» is stone cold out of his mouth. He claimed it’s just something that happened and flatly rejected any responsibility because the working contracts they handed to customers have a small sentence buried in a long paragraph waiving themselves from any liability of losing or damaging customers’ vehicles. Fortunately I have my insurance company going after them for now.
If you have a luxury brand, even it’s old, I’d suggest you send it somewhere else. If you have an old and crappy Toyota, you may go there, but still you should be careful of what may happen to your car due to the working contract favorite to themselves.

Needed a quick tired change after my rear tire fell flat while going down the freeway on my way to a business meeting. Showed up, was quickly greeted and within 45 minutes of showing up they had a new tire on my car and I was on my way to my meeting. Outstanding, fast service and at a very reasonable price! Didn’t try and oversell me anything and they were very professional and kind during the entire service!

Why is picking a mechanic so difficult? Well no need to worry at Foreign Motor Service. You will feel comfortable working with these professionals. I have brought my Audi and RX350 here for any issue I have and for any tune ups/​oil changes or weird noises I hear. Half the time Anthony and Steve say I’m hearing things and not to worry. Trust me you won’t be disappointed. I only wish they did car washes so my car can look good as new.

Great service, convenient, reasonably priced. I appreciate that they don’t try to «up sell» anything. The guys are super friendly. They truly have a «home town» feel about them — very people oriented. It’s not like your major auto corporations who «sell, sell, sell.» These guys are genuine and helpful. I’ll be back.

I have been going to Anthony’s shop for a while now. I was looking for a repair shop when I moved back to Temple City 15 years ago. I found Anthony and his guys. I have to say they have been taking great care of my cars since I have moved back. This is a review long over due. But, This Auto Repair shop is not only good at what they do? But won’t try to sell you what you don’t need. Which for a lot of car owners is a blessing. Thank You Anthony and Crew.

Great service! Very friendly and appreciative of my return. $ 55 dollars for a synthetic oil change. $ 79 for a brake fluid flush! Not to shabby!

I love these guys! I have been taking my cars here for about 5 years now and they have never let me down. Anthony, who owns the place has kept the three different cars I’ve owned (1995 Volvo 740, 1999 Ford Windstar and a 1999 Dodge Caravan) running. They know what they are doing and most importantly, they are HONEST!!! That is so hard to find these days! Steve and J are the mechanics that usually work on my cars and they are great.

Anthony and Steve are a tag team duo that can’t be beat! I always bring in my car here for oil changes, but on one occasion Steve informed me that my car was due for an alignment because the tires were showing uneven wear. The following week I came in, left my car there, and about 4 hours later it was ready. My car drives smoother than before! A + service and super friendly. Highly recommend for all your automotive repair and maintenance needs. Thank you Anthony and Steve! You guys are the best!

FMS is fair and friendly. And they are a AAA shop so towing here is surprisingly easy. This is the only repair shop I’ve ever been to where most of the completed work comes in less than the quoted estimate.

I’ve decided to come here to get an oil change for my car since it is close to home. I am currently seeking a knowledgeable mechanic whom I could trust, and rely on for any maintenance or being able to fix mechanical issues that may come up.
The service here at Foreign Motor Service is good. I felt comfortable with the mechanic who changed my oil. He was able to do it in about 30 minutes after the time I drove there. The mechanic seemed very knowledgeable with different car manufacturers, but is still a bit green in knowledge for maintenance features of my car which is a KIA Hybrid.
Anyhow, he changed my oil and checked my tire pressure which is standard for all mechanics. I did not have any problems with him. A very people person to shoot the breeze with about cars and common interest.
One problem I had was their sign showing a oil change for $ 18.95 when it was actually not. They charged me instead about $ 28.00 for the oil change. I questioned them why the cost was different from what was stated. He said that price was back in 2007. And the cost of oil varies from vehicle. I did not argue with him about it, since it is true that the price of petroleum has gone up, and maybe each engine now calls for different kinds of motor oil… such as high performance usually uses synthetic oil, engines running hotter might use 10w 40 or 20w 50 oil as an example.
I don’t know for sure if it’s a marketing publicity thing or if I got ripped off. But I assume the market price for oil changes is around $ 25.00 with online coupons at other places for $ 20.00. The problem is if it’s not $ 18.95, then please remove that sign outside or make the numbers more legitimate.
Again, I have no other complaints of the service center. But to me is just another typical oil change/​mechanic auto repair shop. Sure, I don’t mind going back to them… but it’s not somebody I could rely on at this time.
I will not put all my eggs in one basket.
