A Plus Learning Center

I worked in A Plus Learning Center as a math tutor when I was in the college. Even though I am working in the business area nowadays, I still feel like teaching in A Plus has been the most enjoyable job I have ever had, and one that I hope to return to someday even if only for a short stint. The director, Ms. Betty, is a very dedicated and passionate educator, who loves her work and all her students. She listens to her students and understands their needs as well as their parents’ suggestions; then she discusses with teachers to come up with a flexible learning program that delivers knowledge to each and every child in the classroom. Betty has always tried her best to hire not only the best but the right teacher for all her students!
In short, I think A Plus is definitely a great learning center for children who want to extend learning in the atmosphere of fun and relaxation after regular school period. Your child will be completing school HW and projects here as well as attending other classes that design to focus on different areas, such as reading, writing and language. In addition to teaching academics, A Plus also provides opportunities for students to explore other important skills, such as decision making, self-​discipline and responsibility. Children here can always have increased motivations to acquire knowledge!

Over the summer I have decided to place my daughter at A plus learning center to give it a try.. Surprisingly my daughter really like summer program… therefore we decided to place her in the after school program as well. But there is a minor setback A Plus Learning Center where there are plenty of parking but majority of the parents do not know how to park nor do they know how to drive in the parking lot it’s always such a hassle because much of these parents just simply are lazy and don’t want to park their car where there is plenty of parking and walk to go pick up their kids likes to block the driveway… overall the school is pretty decent the programs are pretty good the teachers are great I have to give the school props for trying their best to keep everybody in line for the picking up and dropping off issue

Ok this place warrants an update and an upgrade. In my previous review I knocked a star off because I felt that they were geared too academically for the summer program, I wanted the kids to have fun during the summer rather than being crammed with advanced material, and i guess ms. Betty the director at the school agrees with me. Yay!
For those who get to meet ms. Betty, she’s an experience educator whose been teaching kids for the last 30 years. On top of that she’s very sweet and listens well to parent and kids alike. Kids at the school love her, including my own child. I trust my child with her and believe she has the kids best interest at heart.
Now to continue with the review, starting this summer, the program will have more creative and fun activities for the kids enjoyment. This includes theatre, basketball, arts craft, chess, dancing, science, cooking and of course field trips to different places. They do have the academic math and language in the AM, and fun in the afternoon. Now that’s a much more balanced program. People need to be balance to do well in life. The Asian cram style of learning is only good for Asia, in America it’s more important to have strong social skill and confidence. That’s why a balance learning program is vital to the development of kids, and I believe A Plus has «it»

My relationship with A-​plus started when we moved to Arcadia/​Temple City area from Florida. We had to accustom ourselves to new jobs, new place, and a completely new school for my daughter. We put our only daughter in a ‘well-​known’ after school, thinking she is in good hands. Our daughter was unhappy, and she used to cry almost every day. A couple of days later, I met Ms. Betty, the owner of A-​Plus. With her magical personality, she not only impressed me, but also my little girl. This is how our journey began with A-​plus, which was my daughter’s second home for six years. She attended both their after school and summer school programs. There are so many good memories with A-​plus; I can write pages! One day Ms. Betty took care of my daughter when A-​plus was closed and both of us had to work. She opened the school only for one student! My daughter has food restriction, they always made sure to order special food for her. I admire their summer school program where the kids learn, play and have fantastic field trips! After each summer they also arrange a cultural program where they train the kids to perform on stage. I agree they are academic and sometimes they push the kids too, but at the end, it has a positive impact on the students. Their students score some of the highest scores in CST Math and English. At the end I wish A-​Plus success and property in the days to come.

Wonderful location, VERY caring staff! I love that the owners themselves are there everyday to help out. All teachers have teaching credentials and experience in the classroom.
