Wash Wizard Auto Spa

I recently visited Wash Wizard Auto Spa, and had a marvelous experience. Everyone there was very thorough and did an amazing job. I also chose to get the interior done, which I highly recommend. My car looks amazing and it wasn’t very expensive either. I will be going back there next time my car needs a wash!

This is easily the best car wash in Tempe. I’m an Über driver, so I’ve been to quite a few!
I give them the first three stars for meeting expectations. I wanted a clean car, and they gave me a clean car plus one of those vent clip air fresheners, which are my favorite kind. Yay!
The fourth star comes from their attention to detail. Even as I was conveyed through the automatic car wash, the employees followed my car and very carefully wiped it as it was washed and dried. Since I have a hatchback, I almost always exit car washes with drips running down my rear window, but these folks got it clean. Also, they recycle their water, which is a huge plus in this desert.
The fifth star comes from a few things. Employees made friendly conversation and didn’t try to upsell me at all. I also saw the owner himself working there today in this awful heat, which he didn’t have to do, but he did it anyway. And third, I’ve seen so many positive reviews here from people saying they showed up right at closing time and still got a superior car wash, which I can totally see happening even though I have yet to experience it myself (I’m usually a Saturday afternoon person).
So thanks, good people of the Wash Wizard, for a great overall customer experience every single time!

Great customer service. Doesn’t feel like a chain car wash that just wants to hurry you through to get on to the next one. Pretty sure it’s the mom and pop shop of car washes. They took time to ask if I had any special requests and were super friendly. There’s a great little coffee shop to sit and wait at. Car looks awesome!

Freaking awesome. MAKE SURE YOU TIP AFTER THESE GUYS WORK HARD! Drove my car back in forth to ca and my car was covered in baked-​on bugs! It was so bad I thought there was no way Itd look clean again and every guy was scrubbing it clean! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

For my college graduation I purchased myself a new car, so finding a car wash that would treat my car with care was very important to me. I stumbled upon Wash Wizard while searching for car washes on Unilocal and was captivated by their «no soap» method. Two days before I presented my new car to all of my friends and family, my mother and I visited Wash Wizard and I purchased the «Magic Plus» with «Tire Protectant.» A college-​aged guy greeted us and asked which wash I’d like. I paid him and then he guided me onto the conveyor belt. Water sprayed the entire car without touching it which I really like. Then four guys began washing the car down with soft wash mits. I have to admit, the experience is neat and really caters to you. After the wash, they dried the entire car and had me pull out onto the driveway. Since I added «tire protectant,» they applied tire shine to my tires and then gave me a thumbs up to drive on my way. My experience was excellent and for a quality hand wash with an Eco-​friendly no-​soap method, and shiny tire protectant was just $ 14! You can’t beat that. I will certainly be returning and look forward to more experiences at Wash Wizard!

This is where I will take my car from now on. Great work, customer service and attention to detail. A huge plus is the coffee shop next door!

Great customer service and my car is very clean! They were cleaning the drive through when I arrived so I had to wait about 5 minutes but the weather was nice so I sat on the little patio in front of the café.
I’ve never gone through a drive through hand wash car wash, but they did a great job. I got the $ 10 magic+ wash and a stamp card. The price included an air freshener (they gave me 3 choices, which was nice) and self vacuums. Something had dripped on my car and the drive through Cobblestone wash wasn’t able to get it out, but the guys at Wash Wizard got it out! I also have some dried hard water spots on my car, I had no idea what the spots were but one of the employees was able to tell me, which I appreciated, unfortunately he said I would need to get the spots buffed out/​detailed and they don’t do that at Wash Wizard.
For the price and the customer service I will be coming back for sure. They also use recycled water which is a huge positive!

I took my car here the day I bought it, and they made my old gal look like a sparkly young thang! Really though, for the $ 8 wash, they were all really thorough and the guys that talked to me were nothing short of friendly. I will definitely be coming back here again and again!

I thought it was a good wash. Nothing unbelievably incredible or extraordinary. I payed less then $ 10, so naturally I wasn’t really expecting much. It was good, people were friendly and they washed my car.
On Unilocal it says you can get $ 5 off by sharing wash wizards on Facebook, which I did but they said that it was a false advertisement. 2 month later I still see the same advertisement on Unilocal.They haven’t figured that out yet.

So basically the coupon is worthless because the cashier said that you have to buy 5 washes in order to get the $ $ 5 discount. And people who don’t have the Unilocal app get the same price. Not that yours or anyone special LOL but why have the coupon anyway? Anyway the service was okay the best thing about it was it was fast butt they only have two car washes and none of them include the interior. At least before 9 a.m. on a Sunday when the detailer comes in. I may go back if I just need a quick wash without the interior being done but I’m not sure

I had sap on my car they were fantastic and had everyone scraping and scrubbing the crap outta all the sap!!! I spent about an hour here! Great place!!!

I’ve been searching all over for a quick and fast touchless car wash just to get the dust and occasional bird poop off my car once or twice a week. What a surprise to find that there are very very few in Phoenix where you can just drove thru, particularly in the CenPho are where I live. Luckily Wash Wizard is near my work in Tempe. It looks like your standard put your car in neutral car wash EXCEPT real human beings wash and dry your car as you go through. For $ 8 or $ 10 it can be beat! Used them today and it was quick and my car looks great! ANOTHER big plus is that their car wash does not have the rails that guide your car wheels through the wash and instead you pull into a flat wide conveyor so no chance of giving your wheels a rash in the process. I plan to visit at least once a week, hopefully they open a location in the Central Phoenix area, there is a severe lack of options like this in that area!

Not gonna lie, when my boyfriend told me that I could get outside wash with inside detailing all for $ 25 I thought the service was going to be half-​assed. But I was proven wrong. Not to mention the praise it gets on Unilocal.The staff is friendly and they did a great job hand washing the outside of my car and cleaning/​detailing the inside.

I’ve been through a lot in the last six months trying to find a reputable car wash place that does a quality job, preferably by hand. I finally stumbled onto Wash Wizard on Unilocal and thought I would give it a shot. In short, I’m glad I did.
The wash itself is decently priced. The interior, is slightly expensive in my view, I’m not going to lie. $ 25 bucks for inside/​outside isn’t cheap. However, the three times I’ve been there, I’ve been happy each time.
The folks do a good job and I’m always surprised at how clean they get my car without chemicals. The interior was well-​done there as well, which is also something that doesn’t normally happen at car washes. I usually have to point out stuff they missed, but not here.
Overall, the location and price make it tough for me to swing by all the time, but for what it’s worth, Wash Wizard is one of the best hand car washes in AZ. Plus, it’s environmentally friendly as well.

Great and friendly service. The guys gave my car a good scrub down with brushes and then had me pull aside to finish drying the car. I got the $ 8 basic wash and I’m happy with it. I’ll be back for sure.

Gotta give you 5 Stars. Didn’t realize that you closed at 7 when I spontaneously decided to get a car wash, so when I was «that person» who showed up at 7 on the dot, you could have turned me away. But you didn’t for myself, or the car behind me. THANK YOU!
I was thinking this was one of those 3 dollar drive thru, drive away type situations, but, fellow Unilocalers – it’s not that simple. There are PEOPLE (not crazy brushes and rollers) that wipe down your car while it’s in neutral, rolling through the wash area. SAY WHAT?! So, my initial lack of enthusiasm with $ 8 as the cheapest wash was instantly quashed when I saw the wizards work their magic.
Drove through, had my car wiped down while it was sprayed with water, then drove out, where they hand toweled my car. ALSO! They recycle all of their water– so as if I wasn’t sold already.
Obviously, as it was basically dark when I left, I haven’t been able to fully appreciate it in the sunlight, but boy was it shiny when I left.
ALL FOR $ 8!!! All I have to say is «What sorcery is this?!» my boyfriend and I were both so impressed that he’s planning on bringing his truck back later in the week. New favorite car wash? Methinks yes.

Best! I work in the area and this place is far from me but it’s worth the drive and convenience. They don’t ask for tips but those kids work hard in the sun! They’ll appreciate it.

I am a home detailer so I’m fairly picky about this sort of thing and this has become my preferred car wash place. The carbonated wash is definitely quite unique and seems to work well for a lightly soiled vehicle. The big plus with this is not having to worry about potential water spots caused by certain aggressive soaps not being well washed off — I have had to spend some time polishing those out in the past.
With an extra $ 2 you do seem to get a bit of extra shine from whatever wax they’re spraying, but the issue I found with this is that there was some residue on my hood left that I had to buff out afterwards. I’ll probably just stick with the $ 8 since I’m not sure how effective these wash waxes are anyway.
All those auto brush washes have become the bane of my existence since I found this place. No matter how soft touch of materials they use it always seems to leave some pattern of light scratching all over the vehicle and it is a huge pain to polish everything out.

Requested their best service: an exterior and interior clean.
Car came out with fingerprints unresolved from exterior and interior.
Would not recommend nor would I return.

I am incredibly particular about how the paint on my vehicle is cared for and I insist on brushless washes when I don’t have the time to wash him myself. I found my car in desperate need of a bath and, based on previous reviews here on Unilocal,I knew this was a safe place to bring my Volvo.
The wheels on my car are a bit of a bear to clean and all automatic washes don’t even touch the insides of the spokes, but these guys cleaned them better than if I had cleaned them myself!
I love the unique setup of this car wash and you sure can’t beat $ 10 for a hand wash and dry. While this may seem like a small detail to some, I love the brick driveways; a luxury touch.
I’ll be back for sure! Hoping this hidden gem remains around for a long time.
