Valero 1653

This is not a good station for coffee. I found a bunch of grinds at the bottom of my cup, plus their creamer machine is always out of one flavor or another and they had no thingies to put around your cup to avoid burning your hand. Also one pump always has a yellow marker on it for months. Let’s convert all Valero’s to Fry’s stations please.

An Ode to Valero 1653: Why I Come
They have gas, so I come.
It is located at a major intersection near my house and is very convenient, so I come.
The pump has excellent customer service skills (e.g., quick to respond, always offers a receipt) and I’ve never actually seen an employee, so I come.
It is clean, for a gas station, so I come.
They have a convenience store; I’ve never used it, but I might one day and there might be actual employees inside, so I come.
I never have to wait because it would appear not to be a very popular gas station, so I come.
I’ve never had a bad experience, so I come.
I have no idea what their reputation as a company is, and other companies have bad reputations for reasons I can’t recall, so I come.
Oh, Valero 1653, what would I do without you.
