Raymill Photography

I was referred to Raymond by another mom in my «mom group» and I was not disappointed at all. I contacted him through Facebook and he replied with minutes. He was very responsive to all of my questions and sent samples of his work both in general and specific to the baby pictures I was wanted to have done. He had a special that he was running at the time and sent me a reminder before it expired so I could take advantage of the lower pricing.
He was very flexible, allowing me to pick out location, props, etc. and even worked our dog into a few shots. We had preview shots from the session within a couple days and the full portfolio in two weeks. I asked him to edit a couple photos a bit more and he did it right away and had the revised images to me within 24 hours. The best images were the candid ones that he took throughout the session! (See my profile picture!) Those can’t be planned and you need someone who is skilled at capturing those moments, which he is.
I dont know what more you’d want in a photographer, that Raymond doesn’t have. I would definitely recommend!

We have been using Raymill Photography for quite some time now and we don’t plan on going anywhere else! We have always been extremely impressed with his photography skills and have loved all of our sessions! He is very easy to work with and always does a great job taking my visions and turning them into cherished photos. If you are looking for amazing talent and quality work he is the best! He is also wonderful with kids!

I am usually a in studio session kinda person but after looking at the Ray Miller BEAUTIFUL photo shoot he did for one of my friends who hired him not just for their engagement photos but also their wedding and pregnancy photos I decided to give him a try. I left it up to him to pick a location because I figured he’s a photographer so he would know how to pick beautiful backgrounds right… Def did not regret it! He did an amazing job picking location (old down town Scottsdale), gave my family a great deal, communicated with us adequately and on time ANY time I text or called him and he worked very professionally. My husband and I are very precise on what we expect from professionals especially when we’ve never met him and are paying him. Well there is not one complaint we can think of and we were very pleased when we received our photos a couple of weeks later as promised. I recommended him to my in laws so I would def recommend him to others.

We have used Raymill Photography for years now and his work has always surpassed our expectations! The owner is extremely professional, timely in returning his work, and an excellent editor! Honestly the price cannot be beat for the work you get! We have referred him to a number of other families and friends, all of which have loved his photos.

I made the mistake of using Raymill Photography for my wedding ⁴⁄₂₀₁₅. He came with recommendations from people at work and his site as well as his facebook site had several pictures that were impressive so I decided he was a safe bet to take pictures for my wedding. He told me he was running a promotion that if you pay in full before the wedding you would receive a discount, so that is what I did. I spoke to him via phone email and text several times up until the day of the wedding, I really felt like he was going to do a wonderful job. Then the day of the wedding, I get texts from him that he is sick and running late, I try to remain calm and patient since he said he would still be coming. Long story short he got there at the time the ceremony was starting, he was not engaged at all. We had to create posses ourselves, he did not direct us at all. Which part of the conversation we had prior was that I was going to be relying on his creative expertise because I had no idea what poses I wanted other than the traditional ones. He was constantly sitting in the corner on his phone not taking pictures, people had to go and grab him and direct him on what poses to take. We paid for 5 hours of photography and he left after about 2 hours. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt as he said he was sick and that is out of his control. It took a couple of months to get the pictures but he did stay in contact with me so I still was not worried. Then I got the pictures :(Most of them I do not like, although there are about 10 pictures that are wonderful. I tried to talk to him about this as my biggest complaint is he didn’t even take a picture of me, my husband and our five kids (we are a blended family) and all the kids were part of the bridal party! He basically said that there was nothing he was willing to do and that it was my fault for not telling him I wanted that picture! I was in shock at the disrespectful way he treated me saying things like this is what I get for giving you a discount and these are the best wedding pictures I have ever taken. For what was supposed to be one of the most special days of my life I have very little acceptable photos for the day thanks to Raymill Photography. Very unprofessional.

I’m a true customer and not a friend unlike most of their clients and here is my honest review. If you want a green photographer who lacks untraditional creativity and needs you to guide him during the picture process, has terrible customer service skills, does not deliver in the promised time frame, has to be told several times what pictures you liked and asked several times where are you pictures (be ready for several excuses), also lacks professional and business etiquette, and refuses to see you in person after the photo-​shoot unless you pay more fee’s than this is your company. There were some beautiful pictures out of the several that were taken and if it wasn’t for his friend helping him we would of stopped the appointment immediately and that’s all I can really say. If you want to go to professional experienced artistic photographer look for a season one who understands how to run a business and grow. I will have to update after I actually get my pictures it’s been almost 2mths from the beginning btw.
