Quickstart Interlock

The employees are so incredibly lazy and rude. They do not care about you in the slightest bit. Anytime a problem occurs they say call the dmv and they dmv says talk to them. (Both keep you on hold for 30 minutes). They even made me keep and pay for the interlock for an extra unnecessary 6 months. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE

All about money. Service is horrible. Always only have two people available. Very long hold times when you call in making lock out emergencies hard to deal with. Do some shopping around before you settle with this company

I was helped by the guy with the long beard in Phoenix. Can’t remember his name. Got me in quickly, gave me a super discount and sent me on my way with no problem. That was 6 weeks ago, and still no problems. Not what I expected at all. Good people. I am very happy.

Tucson location needs better personnel. It’s bad enough as is to have to go thru the DUI process, now having to deal with Representatives who are unprofessional and rude is the last thing we «customers» need.
A good attitude goes a long way. This place lacks customer service and you can see this from the very second you walk in. Knowing I have to come back once a month to be treated the same way makes me regret having chosen this place.

Do not go thru the Tempe location you will here five different stories from five different people none of them will match up you will be paying extra money for appointments that they’ve messed up do not go to this location. People are very nice they just don’t all know the rules and when it comes down to it you can’t be playing around w your interlock and risk having it longer or paying money you don’t actually owe

Warning! Do not use this company — They will nickle and dime you to death and the customer service skills are abominable!
I cannot stand your staff at one of the Phoenix locations. They have no customer service skills whatsoever! They are continually monotone and smart alecks to all the customers. I told them 2 months ago I had to go to the MVD to restart my ignition interlock. They should had told me to wait before paying two months of service before finding out I could not drive! I wasted $ 170! Today I had a family member go in to have it removed. Because I did not have the cup I was charged extra! (Remember to return the cup or you will be charged extra!!) It cost me at total of $ 470 to not drive the car for 2 months and have the interlock removed. Wow! What a great service! What a joke! Warning! Avoid their services!

The last thing I want to do is spend my Saturdays down at this place getting my interlock calaberated but I have no other choice after the terrible experience I went through with this company. Dont ever have late evening appointments and expect someone to be there. They close early and try to charge you for a missed appointment. Don’t ever reschedule your appointment they don’t do it and charge you for a missed appointment. Ever since the equipment has been in my car my battery constantly dies. They tell you the weather does not effect the devices when theyre left in the car and it 100% does. They set up the devices to where you have to do surprise arrival test even if you just blew in hopes you miss it so they can penalize you and collect extra cash from you. The guys that run that place are far from professional. They sit around and Crack seeds and spit them in their cup as they are cashing you out. The entire time youre waiting youre listening to them laugh as they watch videos on there phones. Highly recommend a different interlock company or just not get a DUI.

This device is the biggest piece of shit I’ve ever used. I’ve had nothing but problems since installation, ranging from destroying 2 car batteries to random errors that prevent the device from functioning normally, resulting in tardiness and temper tantrums.
CSRs have been fine, no complaints there. I would highly recommend you do some research and not simply go with this company just because their pamphlets are in your DUI class.

As getting a DUI sucks enough having to deal with a company that only profits from the forced laws. This company has horrible customer service, a device that operates ok, but is loud and annoying. During the instal you watch a video that says «best device on the market». I have friends that have one installed and goes off ½ the amount of times the quick start device does. I missed an appointment and they charged me an extra $ 70 ($ 35 for the unlock code, $ 35 for the missed appt) from what reviews I have read, other companies will work with you and waive it the first time. Not this place. They have limited offices in the valley, which makes it difficult if you work normal business hours. I would advise anyone that is thinking about using this company to STAY AWAY!!!

If you go to their website, you’ll notice there are NO prices listed. Very convenient for them, especially if the want to add on extra charges and fees like Mike P.mentioned. So i emailed their support contact and a Barry Saunders replied. I had 3 questions, that’s it. Is there an:

Thank you for your inquiry. We do not charge for installation of the device and our Monthly rate is $ 77. The $ 77 includes leasing, monitoring, reporting and calibrating the device. If the device malfunctions we do not charge you for service calls or make you buy a warranty to cover a malfunction. Should you need to reschedule an appointment we only as that you call us the day before and you will not incur a fee. We also do not charge for every low reading you might get as a result of mouth contamination. If you are with us for the 12 month program your removal is free. There are not charges to call customer service. Be careful of companies with lowest price advertising that make it up by charging the consumer for the things I addressed in this email. If you are in any counseling classes ask around and you will find we have an excellent reputation.
We understand how important price is but don’t overlook the functionality and quality of the Interlock device when shopping around. Just a couple of items you might want to ask before making a decision. Each Company distributes a different interlock device
How easy is the device to use: The QuickStart device does not require you to hum into or suck back on the device while taking a test. Some people find this frustrating. Our device does not require these methods; you simply blow into it.
How well does the device work in hot or cold weather: Some Interlock companies make you take the device out of the car in the summers because the device will not function at elevated temperatures. Some companies will tell you on a cold morning it might take up to 4 minutes before the device is ready to test. We have not had any issues related to the heat and the QuickStart device has 3 heaters inside of it for quick warm up time.

Ok, so that answered 2 out of three questions. The most important one, «Is there a removal fee» he never answered. Why is it so important? Because a friend of mine just got screwed over with a $ 400 removal fee. I sent another email asking again if there was a removal fee and his response was another question on how long my interlock program was. Why not just answer the original question? If you contact one of these «Interlock Companies» and they can’t answer ALL your questions or just beat around the bush, there’s a reason. Best to just avoid them.

Worst interlock company out there. They told me I had to live within one hour of the city so they could get to me if the unit malfunctioned. It did and I called at 8:15 on a Sunday night. I was told somebody would get back to me within an hour. The next time I talked to somebody from Quickstart was Wed. morning when I called them. My truck has been down for 4 days because of their faulty equipment. Don’t even get me started on the fines and fees they charge. Just a big scam between the state and interlock companies!!!
