I was given a Groupon for $ 50 for any services here. It specifically lists mani/pedi’s and gel manicures on their website. I already had a hair appt. elsewhere so I figured I’d get my nails done for my college senior pictures. I called the salon to ask about their mani/pedi’s and if they have UV lighting and drying, etc, and the most monotone voice goes «we don’t do manicures». I said «oh, well your website says you do» and she responds with «oh»… Wow, great customer service. What a joke. It’s little things like that that will ruin your business.

I have been going to Mirabella for over a year and love it. My stylist is Tristan. She is great with the blonde highlights I get and the cut and style always looks great when I leave.

Worst haircut I have ever received. I specifically said no layers and somehow I ended up with extreme and uneven stair type choppy layers. Near the crown of the head on one side only my hair is about 3 inches long. My hair is a shoulder length bob. I specifically said I have to be able to have a ponytail with no clips needed. I’m a personal trainer and don’t have time to worry about my hair at work. If I put it up now I need a whole pack of Bobby pins due to the random uneven short pieces.
First time I have ever cried over a haircut.
Dont take the chance of feeling like I do right now. Don’t hope you are the 1 in 5 who gives a 3 star review. Don’t expect to be the exception or you may end up like I feel. There are lots of great deals out there. Go find one with better reviews.

I came across Mirabella like many other reviewers, by Groupon. I had a Saturday afternoon appointment, but to be honest I was scared, the other reviews are terrible! But, I had a wedding to attend within the week so I had to go where there was an available appointment. It’s a clean, professional looking place. The lady at the front desk (maybe the manager who all the complaints are about?) wasn’t the nicest person but my stylist, Olga, was beyond kind, friendly, and gracious. I’ve never felt more comfortable in a stylists chair. She made my hair beautiful, the highlights are perfect and the haircut was excellent. If you book an appointment, ask for Olga, you won’t be disappointed.

This place is a joke. I will never forget how rude the girl was who did my highlights. As soon as I sat down she told me that she doesn’t like to talk. Who says that! Then because I was late only because they forgot to tell me the location had moved. The girl told me she could do the highlights partial instead of a full and a hair cut. In the time frame that I had. Even tho I paid for a full highlights, color and cut. She didn’t get anything accomplished except my highlights and on top of all this i was going to a Mother’s Day party with my son. I had to show up with wet hair!!! This place is THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER WENT TO!!!

Just left my first and last appointment. 30 minutes there and nothing completed. My stylist seemed disinterested and complained about her previous customer. I was told that they «may not have the color» because it’s Saturday. Then a surprise extra $ 15 for «extra product» for long hair. Mind you, I had a groupon and this was no where in the fine print. I would have been fine with it if I were aware of it to begin with. No one seemed to know what the hell they were doing and two separate people were expressing concern about their color when I got there.

I had a cut, color and highlights. It turned out very nice, great deal since I bought a Groupon. Lady at the desk told me no to hit redeemed for the Groupon, found that a little strange?

I was hopeful when I went to this Salon to find a qualified, experienced extensionalist in the valley who could also do color. Two stylists at this salon. including the «supervisor» have worked on my hair. I have now returned to my old stylist in Tucson who stated that had I gone back and had these folks re-​apply the tape extensions which they purported to be safer for my hair… I would be bald! It took two highly qualified stylists at Salon De Futur in Tucson hours to remove the tape bond that these folks put on my hair. Specialized remover solution, careful individual removal and 13 specialty shampoos later… I thankfully had some hair left but significant damage and loss! The first stylist at Mirabella «Lou» turned my blonde highlights completely orange and tried multiple times to correct her error… again broke off my hair. She had no idea how to do highlights! She literally took a slice of brown hair and turned that orange too! The second stylist… Kirsten…put tape extensions directly on my thin hair citing this method of extensions to be safer than the type I had been getting for 10 years. Well… not only was this very bad/​incorrect information these tape extensions almost caused me to lose what hair I had left. My hair is thin from thyroid disease and radiation treatment. I foolishly trusted these women. These two stylists need to go back to school. I recommend anyone who is considering this salon run away!

Feeling a little Jipped. I went in with a Groupon and didn’t receive the full service. Groupon was to include haircut, full color, full highlights and styling. Upon arriving my stylist did a test strip to see if I could withstand the process. After her putting the bleach wrapping in foil and then taking a hot flat iron to it she showed me his fried my hair would become. Now I’m no expert but I’ve never in my life have had any issues with getting highlights. Also I’ve never seen or had anyone try to Hyper process bleach using a hot iron. The service for hilights is the most expensive part of the service. The stylist then recommended a Deep conditioning treatment I asked if they could comp the service since highlights were out. Swapping a $ 20 treatment for the replacement of a higher, more then triple the expense would seem good customer service. Nope. I was told I would have to pay extra. I did only because I was there and the treatment was good for me anyway. What really irks me is that at the register. The receptionist advised the stylist she had another appointment within. ½ hr. Hmmmm now this sounds more like bait and switch. I wasn’t even offered a raincheck on the highlights. Well to say the least I won’t be back. Just Bad customer service if you are trying to get new clients. And a little fishy to me. On a positive note, The Haircut is OK I pointed out that the style was a little lopsided and got a futile attempt at her fixing it. I’ll see if I can work with it till my next experience somewhere else since I have never had any previous problems or issues with my hair taking to bleaching. Maybe a hot iron against to foil while its processing is a great way to purposely fry someone’s hair to pull a bait and switch but this diva will find somewhere more professional.

I’ve been to Mirabella twice now and had a great experience both times! Mariana is fantastic and will listen to exactly what you want. The staff is friendly and it’s a nice, clean salon!

I bought a Groupon for a cut, color, and style. I called right after to ask if I could make it in that day, with an attitude — the person on the other line said, «if you can make it in 15 minutes!» I said yes and she was suddenly pleasant. ($$$) When I got there she had a stylist come up and I was helped right away. I have a lot of hair and it is very long so it took a long time to apply the color. The salon closes at 7:00pm but at 6:30pm the owner started rushing my stylist and kept asking how much longer she had to go. There were still other customers in there and she was still acting that way. It was really uncomfortable for the both of us, especially because my hair was not ready! At 6:45pm the owner had turned off all the lights except for our station and started yelling and saying that my stylist didn’t understand how bad she wanted to go home, to which my stylist replied — I know but she is a paying customer! Long story short, I left with my hair wet even though I paid to get my hair cut, colored, AND styled. I would NEVER go back to this place, talk about bad customer service!
In the end, my hair turned out nicely but I didn’t get what I paid for and have never felt so uncomfortable at a salon before! I should have listened to the Unilocal reviews! Not only does the salon owner have no experience as a stylist, she treats her customers and employees terribly.

Worst experience ever! Do not be fooled. The owner is not even licensed, knows nothing about cosmetology and is extremely rude. They do not stand by their work.

I usually never write reviews but after seeing so many bad ones, I feel they deserve some praise. I ordered a group on for the cut color and highlight and got Dannielle. I’m usually scared when a stylist starts cutting my hair when it is still dry but I ended up with the best cut. I did ask for subtle highlights and they are definitely not, but it still looks good. It was a great deal and when leaving they gave me a thank you card with a coupon. I would come back.

I came in for a brow wax. she plucked most of it and poorly. I had little hairs still there after which I took care of myself.
They didn’t even have me laying down in a private room for waxing. I wouldn’t go back.

Simply the best color, cut & style.
I prefer red & it is by far the most difficult color to work with. Ive had so, so many horrible experiences with bad color, I’ve even had a guy turn 50% of my hair black.
Any way, I went to Mirabella showed my stylist the cut & color I wanted & that is exactly what she gave me. My color was amazing the shiniest & healthiest color treatment I have ever received! OMG I am talking beautiful! And the cut, let me tell you, all I had to do was round brush & dry my hair & off I went. I don’t remember my stylists name but she was in the 1^st chair on your left (when you walk in the front door) she was a tiny lil thing. But I love, love, LOVE what she did to my hair!

I was very disappointed by my experience at Mirabella.
It’s located in a plaza with Whole Foods, and looks nice from the outside, and I’d been meaning to give it a try. The stars aligned, with my ‘do having turned from fine to mop, Mirabella having a groupon now deal, and me having some free time in the morning.
I made an appt with Max. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly and we began right away. We talked about style and then washed hair. No frills like hand or scalp massages that are common at other solons at the same price. Cut seemed fine, with a noted lack of conversation (which is fine; I’d be bothered if expected to make small talk while doing _​my_​job). Blow dry was different. Lots of work on my ends with round brush, top just… Blown.
I’m handed a mirror, and am in total shock that he thinks he styled my hair. I’m fine with artistic freedom, and with letting the stylist have some fun… But that wasn’t what I asked for or expected. I told him as much, and he toned it down slightly, but it was still not at all what I wanted. I played with it for a minute until I gave up and just planned on another wash and style after I got home, and could have someone else fix it if needed. I don’t think I’ve ever felt worse after a haircut.
I’ve washed it since, and I’m more comfortable with it now. That is, I don’t feel like I need to take it anywhere for an immediate fix. But I will not go back to Mirabella. :(

This was some time back but a recent groupon promotion reminded me of my experience.
Showed up for my appointment and they told me they didn’t have any hot water for the pedicure. I was strapped for time and decided to go forward anyway. They took me to this little corner that looked like it used to be a bathroom where there was only one station.
Terrible foot massage and very difficult to get out of the chair without messing up the paint job.
Then onto the manicure. Not very many professionally acceptable colors to choose from but after that was done, there was no drying station!!! No uv light, no fan, no nothing. Needless to say, I messed up my whole paint job.
Won’t be returning

I called to make an appointment to get gels (fake nails). I was told no problem, you’ll see Miss R (I won’t use real names). I arrived for my appointment and was told that Miss R wasn’t there and I could see Miss C instead. I said, fine. Then I was told Miss C didn’t know how to do gels. I said that’s why I was there, I was going out of town the next day and wanted to get gels done. They played it off like I had asked for shellac. Miss C could do a shellac manicure if I wanted. No, I did not want it but I felt like I had no one else to go on short notice. I agreed to the shellac even though it’s not what I asked for.
Miss C did the sloppiest shellac manicure I’ve ever seen. There was polish all over my skin. I had to go home and get an orange stick and clean it up myself. I will not go back to Mirabella Salon for any service.

Very clean, very professional. I’d kind of lost faith in a lot of local hair salons, because they tend to look like something that should be on Tabitha’s Salon Takeover. Mirabella was a great exception.
For starters, the shop is clean. The floors don’t have piles of hair lying about, and the stylists all dress professionally. That was a sigh of relief. At a lot of places I’ve been to around town, stylists are eating and gabbing and acting like the salon is anything other than a business. So I was glad to see everyone at Mirabella was on their toes.
We got our hair cut by Tania, who was personable and knew what she was doing. I explained how I wanted my hair to turn out without really knowing how it should be done — because frankly, what do I know about hair? Nothing! I’m a guy. I just want it to not look bad. Tania seemed to know where I was coming from, and gave me a great haircut without much help from me.
My wife, on the other hand, had a discussion with her about coloring, and says she was very knowledgeable. I have to trust her on that, but she did look great afterwards.
My one criticism would be the size of the waiting area, which is a bit cramped. Even though they were busy the day we went, though, we weren’t waiting long so it didn’t matter.
