Established in 2007.

Sifu Mark Jones took over the reigns from his first Wing Chun Kung Fu teacher Master Richard Loewenhagen’s martial arts school with Grandmaster Garrett Gee’s approval upon Master Loewenhagens retirement from active teaching. This was an easy transition for both Sifu Jones and Master Loewenhagen.

As one of Master Loewenhagens senior students Sifu Mark was already teaching both Adult and Children’s classes as an assistant Instructor at the former «Mengs Martial Arts of Arizona» Kung Fu school. At the time of the transition and to reflect the new ownership Sifu Jones chose that the new business be named «Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun of Arizona» to honor the primary martial arts system taught at the school.

Many of Master Loewenhagens students remained and have been training in the same organization since the late 1990’s to this day including several former child students who upon graduating the «Kids Kung Fu» and «Teen Wing Chun» programs are now active members of the adult programs.

Business Owner

Sifu Mark Jones has been involved in the martial arts for over 30 years. As the owner and Head Instructor of Hung Fa Kwoon AZ, he has many years experience teaching students of all ages and abilities. His journey began as a child exposed to both Judo and Karate and later as an adult, the southern Chinese Kung Fu style of Lau Gar Kuen in his native country England. Since settling in Arizona, USA over 16 years ago he has been training exclusively in Wing Chun Kung Fu, initially in Ip Man/​Moy Yat family lineage until his exposure to Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun in early 2000.

Currently, Sifu Jones is a direct student of Grand Master Garrett Gee, Inheritor of the Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun system and serves as the Southwest Regional Director of the World Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Association. His previous ranks include 3^rd Degree Black Sash, Ip Man Wing Chun under Master Richard Loewenhagen and 1^st Degree Black Sash, Lau Gar Kuen in the British Kung Fu Association
