Gethsemane Lutheran School takes your child’s education personally. We are a small East Valley Christian school with a BIG focus on academic excellence, a commitment to serve the community and a center around God.

Gethsemane puts the «it takes a village to raise a child» model into practice. From early on, children and their families get to know all of the staff at the school offering a true community feeling. Small class sizes give teachers and other faculty members the opportunity to understand and meet your child’s individual needs.

Learning at Gethsemane doesn’t just happen in the classroom or in a text book. Our teachers use outside the book activities, acts of service, exercises and technology to engage growing young minds.

Throughout their educational experience at GLS those young minds and souls are nourished with the word of the Lord. Children attend Chapel weekly and all grade levels participate in Christian Studies.

My relationship with Gethsemane began in 2006 when I was asked to teach 1^st grade. In December 2012 I took on the administrative lead and together we have experienced many blessings. I was particularly blessed in May at the 8^th grade graduation when I was able to place diplomas in the hands of my first group of 1^st graders! It was amazing to watch these young people over the years accomplish so many things. After graduation the blessing continues when students stop by to say hi and to let us know how they are doing. As the saying goes, «You can take the student out of Gethsemane but you can’t take Gethsemane out of the student!»

My goal as principal of GLS is to provide a safe atmosphere where all kids feel safe, they feel and know the love of Jesus, and they are able to accomplish many great things.

I extend you an invitation to come and visit our campus. After taking a tour and interacting with our staff I hope you will call Gethsemane home!
