Be aware of this company The admin staff is rude and unhelpful, along with threatening!!! On 2 occasions they have made errors in billing and sent notes like«the burden of proof is on you». I don’t know about you, but companies that say things like this to customers when errors on billing has been made in the past, watch out! The driver was great, but ever since they have your goods in their possession, it has on gone down hill. Additionally, I signed a 6 month contract and paid 6 month locked in pricing. Even though have had my items stored with them 1.5 years, and I requested to have annual pricing since I have been there so long and their response was, «oh well»… There are many other vendors that are in the portable box storage business. I recommend going elsewhere where you business is appreciated.

I was looking into renting another cool box and came across these very negative reviews and was surprised. We used them twice for long periods of time and they were great. No leaks, no over charges and yes the girls on the phone are nice.

In addition to the other complaints, the actual storage service is worst. We paid $ 1818 over the course of 12 months to store our goods. At return of the container, we were greeted with water and mold damage over almost all contents. Imagine losing your entire house due to negligence of Cool Box. Faulty Container(latch was broken) and left outside in the elements, which led to water & mold damage. In a response email, the representative(Monica) wrote: «water stain doesn’t justify over $ 15,000 in damaged items» Imagine reading this after one month of sorting, digging through moldy items, throwing away old photos and baby memorabilia. Disinfecting as much as we can. Paying several hundred dollars for company to haul damaged goods. Wiping down hundreds of books among other the many items that go inside a home, losing time at work, replacing all furniture for an entire 2-story house, discarding entire outdoor patio sectional purchased in Europe, time corresponding w salvage companies, insurance, Cool Box… the list is infinite. This sums up our experience. To add insult to the wound, they are rude, insensitive and offered us a measly $ 250, and no more… not even $ 1818 we paid for service and storage, in which we did not receive.

Look out! The nice girls on the phone are a cover for the worst billing nightmares which will plague you! They randomly charge you and say ‘oh well’, it was a mistake. In the meantime, bounced check charges are not covered. Also, they left a not-cool box on the drive after I moved and the next people could not move into the house as the driveway was blocked. I lost my deposit for not returning the property in a timely fashion. They never returned my call re: why they ‘forgot’ to pick up the pod. Stay away! No one can be this bad! You will lose money with them. One star is too much.
