Baer’s Den

Went here on Friday night and they have a «all you can drink» deal from 9pm-​12am, beer and well drinks! Turned out to be a good deal! It was crowded for awhile during the first part of this special, so it took a few minutes to get a drink. About 10:45 the place cleared out and it turned into drink em as fast as you can! Would definitely go back to take advantage of this deal again!

I read the reviews I’m sorry the girls had to come here when the service was bad. I come in for lunch for a good 2x maybe 3x a week and the food is great and the beer is great cuz its hot. The review the girls left, don’t judge that one incident. Pedro as the bartender should have corrected the problem. Did he offer a re-​cook on the food? Hmm… sounds like he didnt. I hope you didn’t tip

I was disgusted by the service at this place. My friend ordered a chicken finger plate and there was a long dark hair cooked into the chicken. We get it, it happens. However, when she showed our waiter he took her plate, and did not bring her a new one. Then he proceeded to give her only 10 percent off her meal (one that she couldn’t even eat), which was only $ 1.25. He claimed there was nothing more he could have done, yet he had worked there for five years. Not only did he refuse to do anything, but he was extremely rude to us and unprofessional. I have never had a worse dining experience and it wasn’t even my plate. Do NOT go here.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Unbelievable. My friend ordered chicken tenders and fries, and it came out with a long, dark, thick, hair (photos to come) and it was disgusting. She then proceeded to kindly tell the sever (Fedro) and he said he would get her a discount. He took 10% off… a dollar. Anyways he then took her plate, which is fine, but then came back without a new plate and with our receipts. I can’t even believe this kind of service is acceptable in today’s society. So I went to talk to Fedro afterward and he simply told me to call his manager tomorrow, because she wasn’t available today, and ask for Tina. We were nothing but nice to him & I cannot believe the disrespect we received back in return. ⁰⁄₁₀ would NOT recommend coming here. Horrible customer service.

Wish service was better. Ordered a very basic meal,
Chicken tenders and fries. It had a hair in it and instead of being comped or given a new plate I received a $ 1 off of my bill. One dollar. I paid for a full meal that I didn’t eat because there was a hair. Can’t believe they wouldn’t fix this situation in a more professional manner.

Baer’s Den is great when Steve isn’t working. Guy added tips to me and at least 3 other customers tab one Friday — stealing 5 dollars from each of us. When confronted by another honest bartender he threw away all the receipts.
Owner didn’t care.

I only go here on slow nights. The drink selections are limited (no cider) but the bar tenders are friendly. If you go on a weekend it’s pretty packed for such a small place. That’s why i only go on the weekdays.

Stumbled upon this place via drive-​by. I really enjoy finding non-​chained unique places to eat. This Bostonian-​owned place is clean and classy in design. The menu isn’t huge but it doesn’t matter. You’ll find yourself satisfied by this all American grill. Kathy behind the bar makes you feel right at home. Grab yourself a beer and patty melt. I did. Relax in this «Beantown» sports bah!

Pretty cool ASU bar, but I’m fairly certain laws are broken with the # of people packed in the bar and on the patio for the all you can drink $ 10 special. Not sure what their normal drink prices are but $ 10 AYCD was a steal for the short amount of time we were there. Apparently they serve food but you wouldn’t know with the nighttime crowd. The drinks were strong and good. The volume of New England stuff around the place made me sick though as a proud Colts fan.

Place sucks for all you can drink. It’s a cluster fuck of a bunch of ugly people fighting over booze in line to drink the people in the place pretty. Spend your money somewhere else or on a bottle for your own place

went there at 9 pm on a Sunday, the place was empty, lights were on but the door was locked, employee saw me thru the window and did the throat-​slash sign.

Went to watch the Super Bowl there because it’s a Boston sports bar and I wanted to enjoy the game with other Patriots fans. Maybe I’m off here but the owners/​managers struck me as a few guys with big egos who decided to buy a bar and have no clue what they are doing. If you run a sports bar you probably should have a few tv’s larger than 32″. Seriously go to Best Buy and pick up a few 60″ flat screens. I really didn’t want to watch the game here because of this but I was just there for the night and didn’t know where else to go. The owners of this place seemed like a bunch of dicks. The place was packed and they looked pissed off and uncomfortable because of the crowd. I thanked one of them after I spent $ 100 there all day and he was rude. Hey BRO smile and buy some better tv’s

Great place to watch a Red Sox or Patriots Game. Definite supporter of all Boston Teams! Good food and cheap drinks make this place a win win! Only thing is they need more staff to keep up with volume. When it’s playoff football time and only one person working the bar and one in the kitchen, can seem a a bit overwhelmed.

Being from Boston there is no better place to catch the Pats or sox play. Every time I go I swear that I’m there eating and drinking for 4 hours and somehow my bill is always under 30 $. They have killer drink prices!
there is definitely and older crowd here sometimes but its not bad, the food definitely is what you would expect dive bar food to be. Nothing special, but very palatable.
Baer’s is tiny, but it makes up for lack of space with great drinks and a top notch staff. If Scotty Baer is in he’ll usually shoot the crap for a while with you and might even get a round on him.
Great place if you’re looking for some laid back drinks for cheap.

Great, cozy little place OFF Mill with great happy hour with both food & drink specials. Lots of tv’s and all the sports packages.

Small and a nice setting, outdoor patio and a lot of high quality tvs in Hd playing sports. Food was good, and the bartender was cute. What more do you want?

I’ve been here multiple times and it’s always such a friendly place to be. Good food and full bar. Perfect place to watch a game.

Not sure what the hype is here. Small TVs and EMPTY DURING THE BOSTON RED SOX WORLD SERIES GAME 5 — and MOST OF THE TVs were on MNF!!! So much for this being a true Red Sox bar!

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to write this review.
I’m not sure that words can really describe how much I love this bar. I am a little sad that this isn’t the original Baer’s Den AKA Frank’s Friendly Tavern. They had to remodel it due to the hotel next door expanding. I remember the days of couches and leather chairs — the lounge seating was always my favorite.
I’ve had so many wonderful memories at this place — I’ve been going for the last 8 years! Scotty Baer, the owner, is wonderful and knows how to make his customers happy.
If I remember correctly, Friday nights are $ 10 all-​you-​can-​drink until midnight. So dangerous!
Go to this bar, and have a blast! And feel free to use my personalized purse hook at the end of the bar if needed. :)

I used to LOVE this bar! They remodeled it from when I used to go. When I first started dating my BF and was new to Phoenix we used to go here a lot. The bartenders here were great! And they knew how to mix a drink! Especially the Asian woman, she was super nice and mixed one of the best sex on the beaches I have ever had! Kept me coming back, I also used to love the vibe of the bar, sometimes it got loud most of the time it was laid back during the summers since ASU students were probably back home.
I did have a particular incident which made me stop going so much when a fellow customer called me a «colored girl». I won’t say he was racist nor will I say it was the bars fault because honestly he was hassling the bartender also. He was too drunk and talking out of the side of his neck, and his friend with him bless his heart… but I didn’t particular LIKE being in an environment where I was being offended and yet paying the same amount as the next guy.
All in all this bar is good and well! I miss coming here, but I no longer live in Phoenix anymore so it’s a thing of the past, but if your looking to stray off Mill this wouldn’t be a bad place to come!

The place seems like it could be a great dive bar, and perhaps the waitress was just preoccupied with others as it was busy.
She could not describe the beers on tap, nor tell me which were ales, and simply walked away without concluding the conversation. In that moment they lost the 2 stars from my review. Thank goodness the wings were decent.
So– if you want bud light and wings with your game, this place is great. Very good daily deals. Lots of TV’s… and a waitress that doesn’t take any crap.

Just stopped by the new location which to me will always be referred to as Franks! I guess I’m dating myself. The new building looks great and of course the bartenders were as friendly as the good old college days. Great patio too! U can’t beat this location either if ur in the area and need a place to grab a drink and/​or watch the game. My only wish is a more extensive menu. I think if they threw some bomb tacos, guac or tri tip sandwiches for instance, they would reach a whole new group of peeps. Lookin good Scotty!

I love this place. Even someone who isn’t a Boston sports fan should like this place. Here’s why:
Yes, they serve stiff drinks for low prices. Yes, they have Boston sports memorabilia. Yes, they are a dive bar. These are all givens.
What do they do that sets them apart you ask?
Today I participated in a holiday toy drive. You bring in a toy for less fortunate kids and you get a free drink. I can’t think of anything more awesome for the holiday season. I didn’t even really want the drink. I just was happy to have the opportunity to help someone in need.
Also, they play Sons of Anarchy every Tuesday night. I can’t think of any other bar that does this, and I totally dig it.
Point in case, this bar is different. They do typical bar things, but also go above and beyond for their customers and community.
This is by far my favorite bar, ever, and I’ve been to quite a few. And I will put my money on the fact that you will love it too.

I never have a bad time here. Of course, Im a Boston sports fan so I may be biased.
This place is my Cheers. I can go in anytime of the week and the bartender knows my name, even if I havent been there in a long time. All the regulars are super nice too. The drinks are great, Sam Adams on tap, the food is greasy and delicious. I almost always go w/​my fiancé (not a Boston fan) and they are always more than willing to change a TV to whatever game he wants.
And the breakfast…*drool*. They only serve it on the weekends during football season, it is SO GOOD. The simplest dishes, but they always hit the spot.
They also do specials during baseball season. Different hotdogs from different parks, split top rolls and Kayems for Sox/​Yanks games, and lobster rolls.

Rolled with a huge group of people and proceeded to promptly perform my TLC’s «Creep» (my voice is slowly disintegrating to Bea Arthur/​Jennifer Tilly/​That chick that sang «Bette Davis Eyes» status, ok?) and I just luuurve a wireless mike so I don’t trip when I re-​enact this song. At this point I really just should invest in a set of silk pajamas I perform this song so often.
But I digress.
Look, if you have a good group of people willing to embarrass yourselves, you’re willing to subject yourself to odd come-​ons at the bar, and you realize this is a tiny divey sports bar with a lot of old men, you’ll be fine.
We even got to witness a bar brawl where a dude was kicked out!
The song «Every Little Thing She Does is Magic» was performed and the bar erupted into 30 women dancing and singing along Snoopy style to the lyrics, I felt I was in the 80s movies that promised spontaneous feel good crowd dancing!
When I saw a clown van of a thousand bro-​dawgs and their assorted scary women crawl out arrive, it was def time to leave– yikes!
But I mean, karaōke, cheap drinks, a little patio, a decent bathroom, bar brawls, not a bad way to pass some time, no?
