The Healing Square

Alaena has such an awesome business. I was in and out in no time. The hard wax that she used on me is comfortable and is so much less painful than hot wax. I literally hopped I up after the appointment. She made me feel comfortable and explained everything very well. If you want to get a wax soon I’d suggest going to her. I’ve been to Candy wax and European Wax Center as well, but I still like the Healing Square. Also fairly priced :)

I had such an AMAZING experience with Alaena today for my Brazilian wax!
Before I get into the details of my experience, I need to point out the location. At first, I thought Google Maps was leading me to the wrong place, so then I put in the address on Waze and it told me the same thing.

Since it is in an apartment complex, parking for clients/​guests are allowed only on any spot that is not numbered — basically any spot that is not under a roof! So please be mindful of that so you don’t get towed or park in someone’s designated spot! Alaena also will contact you before your appointment with details and how to get there too, which helps as well.
Okay, now for the wax. I am somewhat experienced with Brazilian waxing. I started in 2012 but I started to regularly keep up with them since December. I have recently decided to ditch European Wax Center and go with something more intimate and local because I have found that the service I get is just exponentially BETTER. Alaena was so friendly and welcoming and made the Brazilian wax such a breeze. Let me tell you, she is THOROUGH. I am so satisfied that I left completely hairless! (Unlike my experiences at EWC, I always leave with so many hairs left behind. MEH) Not only that but she is FAST. She did such a quality job in such a short amount of time that I was kind of surprised we were already done. I’m sure it also felt like that because she talks to you the whole time and she’s just interesting to talk to! I’ve had many estheticians where there’d always be awkward silences and just generic conversation — but nope, not with Alaena. I just cannot stress enough how much this was the easiest and fastest wax for me.
Also, I forgot to mention she uses hard wax! For those who don’t know, hard wax requires no wax strips at all — they put it on, it hardens, and they remove it. This means the wax is so much less painful and I believe it to be more thorough! Alaena uses special hard wax imported from Paris. Ooh la la.
Price: $ 45 for a full Brazilian wax! Which is a GREAT price around the area considering I was doing a lot of research before I came here and so many places charge around $ 55-​$ 65. That just makes my wallet sad lol. I’d pay $ 45 for my Brazilian waxes at EWC, but their service comes nowhere close to Alaena’s. Her work is worth every damn penny lol.
The room itself is so cute and so calming! I can tell everything is so clean and hygenic. It’s just a really nice open, and relaxing space. Very quaint and intimate — SO comfy!
I am glad to say I think I have my Brazilian waxing lady! She’s the one! lol thank you so much Alaena! Such an awesome in-​home family run business! =)

Wonderful Massage. I’m pretty picky with massages and normally don’t go just anywhere. I received a groupon here as a gift. WOW. I’ll be back! (I wrote moderate for price, because I have no idea) I’ll be back to try a facial too now.

I wanted to try a new place to get my waxing done and thanks to Unilocal I stumbled upon this hidden gem! Alaena was fast, friendly, and super efficient. She used a special wax imported from Paris. I wasn’t sure what to expect since it was my first time experiencing an in-​home spa service but I felt very comfortable upon walking in. The setup is clean, cute, and cozy. Alaena is the sweetest and I’ve already booked my next appointment!

So happy with the facials I have been getting with Alaena! Today was my second time going, and I honestly could not be happier. My face feels silky smooth after she is done. She is so sweet, which makes the experience 100 times better. I have seen huge improvements in my skin, and I can’t wait to go back. Thank you, Alaena!

Amazing! Started off with a 50 minute massage, and it was wonderful, Chris does an awesome job, so relaxing. I have had a few massages and this was my favorite! Then I had a 50 min. facial by Alaena, it was great! She does a thorough job! My face was so soft! They are both very professional, and make you feel relaxed the entire time. I would highly recommend The Healing Square to anyone!!!

What a great set up. A very peaceful little spa right out of their home. I had an incredible 90min massage, followed with a fantastic 50min facial. I highly recommend going to see these people, they know their stuff. Great job!

So glad I found this place! My husband and I were on a little weekend getaway and wanted to get a couples massage. After browsing around on Unilocal,I decided to make an appointment at The Healing Square. I got a massage while my husband enjoyed a facial– both were spectacular! I’ve had many really great (and not so great) massages in my life and this was definitely among the best I’ve ever had. Looking forward to making another appointment in the near future!

Amazing!!! Alaena did an amazing job. Got to say was a little skeptical at first, but after talking to her on the phone, answering all my questions about waxing and scheduling my first appt with her was a plus. Arrived at location, setup is great! Very organized and very clean. Friendly and efficient. Was very impressed (mind you I’m a licensed Cosmo myself so I pay attention to everything) Definetly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good wax ;)

AMAZING. I got the package deal which included a 50 minute massage and a 50 minute facial. I have had a few massages in my lifetime and wouldn’t consider myself very picky (I don’t know better lol) but this was my favorite! I can really tell Chris is skilled at what he does. I definitely have more knots and tension than the average person and the whole time I was relaxed and now I’m feeling great! I definitely needed it.
As for the facial, it was super thorough and my face is as soft/​smooth as a baby’s butt. They’re both cool and super nice people and it is a great value so do yourself a favor and get yourself an appointment! You’ll thank me later. :) I’d love to come back later on this summer!

My skin looks young and healthy and I owe it all to Alaena! She also helped me trim down with her It Works wraps and products. I haven’t had a massage with Chris but I hear they are just as awesome.

What an amazing experience! First off, Chris and Alaena are some really fun, really great people. We hit it off right away and I felt totally comfortable working with them. I’ve had quite a few facials, and Alaena really takes it to another level. She knows what she’s doing and does a very thorough job! I couldn’t help but comment on how nice my face felt throughout the facial and especially once she was done. She even gave me a scalp massage while my mask set and I was in heaven!
One of my biggest concerns was at home skin care, and she went through step by step, wrote out a plan for my home care and gave me a ton of great information. I’ve never had anyone take the time or be so willing to coach me on skin care outside of my appointments. That ALONE would have brought me back.
I also had a waxing done and Alaena is efficient and gets you through it. She is completely professional and so reassuring that she will put you right at ease. They offer some really great packages and I recommend you take advantage! You WILL want to come back. It doesn’t get any better than these two and for such great prices, you can’t afford to NOT give them a try!

Absolutely a fantastic experience! Massage and facial by Chris and Aleana for Mother’s Day was a pure joy. Gave my husband a facial for his birthday and he can’t wait for his next. They are a great couple who have amazing talent and will certainly use them for gifts.

What can I say? I just left after a 90 min massage and a facial feeling like golden Rays of sunshine. As a massage therapist myself, I can be judgy unintentionally. But Chris had me drooling. My facial has my skin feeling like a babies bottom! I ended up with a package deal (extremely affordable!) and can’t wait to go back. Really friendly, good people. Glad I found this gem! My new best friends!

Amazing… what more cab I say??? I went and had waxing done, never done it before, I was nervous, Alaena made me feel so comfortable in those not so comfortable positions… she was caring and so gentle! The atmosphere was so relaxing and professional! Already booked my next appointment!!! Highly recommended!!!
