Food Was okay. I think they can improve presentation. Staff is very friendly. Place feels a bit lonely.

I might as well have been in Miami. WOW!!! Talk about pure, AUTHENTIC Cuban food. This place is small and quaint. I ordered Varadero chicken fajitas, rice and beans, and sweet plantains. Talk about delicious! I asked for extra spice and Chef Manuel DIDNOT disappoint! The service was good and the food is 100% DELICIOUS! The free empanada with my Unilocal Check In was fresh and piping hot! I spoke directly with Chef Manuel about how good his food tastes. Yes, we will be coming back SOON!!!

The food here has been consistently good. I lived in South Florida for a few years and have eaten really good Cuban food and this place comes very close. I usually order the ropa vieja and it comes with rice and beans, really yummy! The grilled chicken is good too. There sandwiches are pretty tasty as well.

Wow!!! Delicious. The cook came out from the back to confirm our order and man was it great. Very good food and really wasn’t expecting the authenticity. I was impressed!

Great local business. The owner/chef seems to be passionate about his food and business as he will converse with you from the kitchen and even came out at the end of the meal to ask how everything was. I got the #3 sandwich which was a combination of the #1(original Cuban) and #2, so it caught my attention as they said it was a bigger portion. Beef empanada was great and the pulled pork plate was very flavorful. 4 stars only because I’m comparing this Cuban place to Havana Kitchen where the food/coffee is a bit more flavorful(coffee is way better at Havana Kitchen) and the portions are a little bigger, but Cuban Hunt is cheaper, you beat the traffic in Old Town, and you are supporting a local mom & pop. I’ll be back for sure!

Love this place! This is my favorite fast-casual restaurant in the area. The food is always delicious. I really like the pork plate, but their sandwiches are great too, especially the Cuban King. Be sure to try the fried plantains, they’re great as a dessert!

I got the pan con lechon sandwich and my hubs got the cuban delux, both were pretty amazing. We would be regulars if we didnt live 5 stares away. Super!

First going here today and I ordered the #1 Original Cuban and after devouring it, I immediately came back for two more. If you haven’t been here please do yourself a favor go because it’s a hidden gem! Oh yeah the customer service is GREAT, I hear them ask every customer«how was your food? «And thank you!

The foods decent but I’ve stopped in not once but three times now to get a couple empanadas and they are ALWAYS out. Even though it’s so close to my work I no longer go because I choose to spare myself the disappointment when I’m craving an empanada.

Their Cuban sandwich is very good. The meat is tender and flavorful. The bread is very good, a pleasing flavor, thin and nicely toasted. It comes with a couple of delightfully crunchy marquitas chips made from plantain, The platanos maduros are delicious. I feel that the meat here is better than Havannah Kitchen. The employees have always been friendly and pleasant. It’s in a strip mall, people. If you want to be waited on like you’re the only person on earth, you should probably be spending more than $ 8 on food.

Pretty good food. I enjoyed the sandwiches and the plantains. Everything was tasty. The down side was the service. Felt like I had to ask for almost everything. The food is great but with a slight improvement on service, I would give it 5 stars. I’ll be back.

I came here for lunch today and was satisfied but not blown away. For starters the service was terrible. The woman working the cashier helped the long line of people but once I came to the front of the line she decided to answer the phone, take phone orders, gave out all other orders, fixed other people’s orders, press buttons on the register and never even acknowledged me. I felt like an idiot standing there for at least 5+ minutes while she did everything else. But I’ll consider it an isolated incident. Food wise it was, ok… I didn’t get a sense of authenticity from this place. I visit Cuban restaurants in LA(Versalles, Portos bakery) and this places doesn’t compare, not even close. But for being one of 2 local Cuban restaurants I guess this will have to do until I go back to LA or SD.

My wife & I had a great lunch here. The counter person was very friendly while helping us make our choices. The food was very tasty; different from anything i’ve had before. Plus, you’ve got to appreciate the sign they put on their counter offering a Military discount — they don’t just wait for someone to ask for the discount, but instead offer it! Thank you for the great service:-)

The Cuban Hut is great. It isn’t located where your typical restaurant would be but this little hole in the wall has some good food that should keep people coming in. The Cuban Sandwich Deluxe is my favorite. You can’t go wrong with some succulent pork, ham and chorizo. Are three meats compliment each other and throw some pickles, mayo and mustard and it’s damn good. This is my favorite Cuban Sandwich in Temecula. I always get a side of potato balls and a beef empanada. The potato balls are good. Basically beef cover in mashed potatoes then deep fried. You don’t need a dipping sauce because of how good they are seasoned. The empanada is also a go to side. It is not over cooked, sometimes empanadas are burnt but theirs always come out perfect. The beef could be spicier but that is just my personal taste. This is my go to spot for Cuban Food in Temecula. It used to be Havana Kitchen but since this little gem opened up I come here if I want Cuban food, unless they are closed. So make sure to come here and eat it is way to good not to.

This place is good. Please dont get me wrong. The bread for the sandwiches taste a little odd to me though. Like a sourdough/stale bread mix. The potato balls are a bit well done for my liking and the flavor feels like its missing something inside. I also wish they served mojo sauce on the side with each dish automatically or some kind of sauce because food can get dry. I love that its family owned and we always get great service. Next time I come in Im trying a plate. Its time to get down to the nitty-gritty with some good old beans and rice and lechon. I tried sandwiches the two times Ive come in so far. The meat has all been flavorful and tender. I know another problem for me is I keep comparring this place to Havana Kitchen in old town which probably isnt fair but its what I’m used to.

I have experienced really good Cuban food in Orange County and when my dad told me there was a place here in Temecula I told him we had to go check it out! When you walk in, the place is super unassuming and simple. But they have very traditional Cuban dishes and side dishes. My mom and I split the Ropa Vieja and dad got the Ropa Vieja sandwich. They were both impressed and so was I. Great flavor and fresh ingredients! The mastros were amazing! When I checked in on Unilocal,we got the chicken empanada which was great as well! The service was good and staff was friendly. The chef came out to talk to a table with a couple who were regulars it seemed. So good customer service. We also noticed that it got crowded as we stayed longer. So good sign! Overall, it was a good experience and I would def come back!
