Went in today to stride rite with my wife and daughter and briefly greeted by danely I think was her name. Sry:(super nice was on top of her shoe game. Measured my baby girl foot to check for current size. Which got us 5 $ which was kinda cool. Thanks for finding the coolest shoes that my daughter loves I will definitely be back.

There customer service is so great! Every time I go in there, they are so nice and helpful without being pushy. I love Stride Rite, but the customer service at this location puts them over the top!

The reason I’m giving 1 star is because they sold me a pair of defective shoes that made my babies toes bleed then tried to pass it off like the shoes were too small. I purchased the sandal/shoe hybrid Mid June 2014. They sized him and everything. My son wore them for 2 months. One day I noticed him walking funny. I took them off and the tips of all small toes on both feet were skinned and bloody. I felt the inside of the shoes and noticed that the glued in insoles were cut too short at the ends. The toes were being rubbed raw by the exposed rubber. I took them in and showed the sales girl and she immediately sized him and promptly declared that he was a half size bigger now. She would hear nothing else of it. Did I mention I could fit a whole grown up sized finger in the back with his foot in it. She then turned to help another customer and insult my child by comparing that child to mine by pointing out that my child is so much older and is the same size height and foot. This was very insulting to me. My child is almost 2 and I’ve purchased him nothing but stride rites since birth at $ 50 a pop! Never again Stride Rite!!! You will never get a dime from me again and I hope to cost you more customers and money. Shame on you!

The four stars are for the service. Their expensive shoes break down just as quickly as cheaper kids shoes found elsewhere. You’re paying for brand names, movie licensing, and admittedly better looking product. I spent about 45 minutes here trying various shoes for my kids. It wasn’t just fussing about which design looked better, the staffer«Christina» always fit each shoe for proper width. This isn’t something that you’ll find at the outlet malls. Christina, who must of had sales training at some point, really knew the shoes that she was selling and which sizes would fit best. It was actually refreshing, because most people that work at malls really don’t care to go the extra mile providing the customer with great service. Kudos to her. — The selection at the Carlsbad Outlet mall is greater, but you’re unlikely to find the right width and accompanying expertise that you’ll find at this retail mall shop. — Ask for Christina.

Did you know that Stride Rite purchased the Sperry Top-Sider brand name over thirty years ago? Neither did I. My little sis asked that I look for a pair of Top-Siders for my five month-old nephew. I went to Janie and Jack first, but the price there was a tad high. So I figured why not Stride Rite? My mom shopped there for shoes for my little sis when she was a baby so that’s good enough for me. There wasn’t anything fancy at the store. Lots of sandals and sneakers for boys and mary-jane looking shoes for girls. But I did find a pair of Top-Siders. They are blue plaid and cost only $ 20. Another plus is that the sales staff is helpful without being intrusive. What’s interesting is that the boat shoes are something I would wear myself, but I doubt I’ll ever find it selling for $ 20. Grown up shoes for the little one…
