that brie bowl is to die for. SUPER garlicky, so make sure if you’re there with your s.o. he or she is eating it too otherwise they’ll pass out from your mouth fumes. the wines are pretty good. the crowd was CRAZY this past saturday and the waits were LONG for tasting pours.
the little market they have going on out front is pretty rad. i have this place to thank for my heart shaped sunglasses (a fave shape from when i was 4).

Maurice Car’rie is an adorable little spot for wine tasking. The location is really very pretty; with plenty of places to sit and enjoy a glass or seven of wine. We came here on a random Saturday adventure and found that there was a little flea marke and a DJ playing. I’d say their wines are pretty good and reasonably priced. They pour a large enough sample of their wines that you can actually get a feel for them and not just a smell… much appreciated. That stupid sourdough brie is CRAZY good and well worth the heart attack I thought I was having after eating ¹⁄₃ of it.

Baked Brie in freshly made sourdough bread, and their sparkling wines! Pineapple, peach, raspberry, pomegranate, and their regular sparkling wine are delicious! They have a decent Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot as well.
But try the sparkling wines and the baked Brie! You won’t be sorry! Oh and Staff is friendly and winery is clean.

This was the last stop on my mini-​wine tour.
Everyone was really helpful, including the older woman who served me my wine and answered my questions. I really enjoyed everything I had. The Pineapple Sparkling wine was really good, very different, but good. I also liked the Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, and the Sara Bella.
I bought a bottle of the Sara Bella, actually, because that is my rescued dog’s name so I felt like I had to. I’d been drinking wine literally all day, so I was feeling pretty buzzy, and my server was very kind to listen to my story about my dog, so props to her!
The grounds are gorgeous and I just loved the building. Their prices are reasonable and I felt they had a good variety of wines. I recommend giving this place a try!

I took my first trip here over the weekend and really loved it. I’ll be back.
We packed a picnic and ate on the picnic tables outside and enjoyed the beautiful day.
We shopped at some of the vendors that were there, although there were only like 4 — should be more! The DJ was really good and mixed in country music (my favorite) although he said he knows nothing about country music! :-)
I am told the next time I go to try the baked brie bowls — I’m in! Those looked ssssssoooooo good!

When you go there to get sample, please talk to Fran!!! She is so great!!! She recommended me so many different kinds of wine that taste yummy and when I had a sourdough bread with Bree cheese, I had that with Tempranillo and bread… I had party in my mouth !!! Sooooo good!!! Totally recommend after you get the sample get sourdough bread with Bree!!! Ohhhhh!!! So good!!!

Great stop off with super helpful and friendly staff. Suggested several wines to taste and we were so taken by the place we ordered brie & sour dough bread and stayed for a bottle of Reisling. Could really make a happy habit here wonderful!

It’s a mix feeling here, tried their baked bread with brie, which is delicious and filled with some 6000 calories, so you’ll stay away next time Then they do have some good wines, love their Gewürztraminer and Muscat, on the sweet side, got a few bottles to enjoy at home. Then there are the prices, on the cheaper side, which is great. But it’s not much fun here, I believe there are the same guys working here since they opened the winery or something, it takes a while to get acquainted if they don’t remember you from 20 – 30 years ago. But it’s worth a stop to stock up on your favorite wines to go.

Stopped here today. We were celebrating mines and my moms bday. We have been here several times. Today the lady that checked us in was so RUDE and NASTY. Just an awful old bat! The only reason i did not give this place one star is because of Yolanda (who sells the brie outside) and the dj outside. He was awesome and made us smile.
As for the lady inside, you need some customer service skills because you are a miserable rude old lady!
She was rude to everyone. Not just us. Take a happy pill or something. U r awful!

This was our first wine club that we decided to join. First of all, their baked Brie bread bowls are AMAZING!
They have a good variety of wine, including flavored champagnes and sweet wines. Their port is the best I’ve found! It’s delicious.
Their restaurant closed and the old building is now used for wine club members on the weekends.
They offer fresh baked sourdough bread to buy, as well as their famous bread bowl to take home and bake.
They gave some merchandise for sale and small snacks.
Their wine club allows you to switch the selected wines for whatever you want, so basically I just buy three bottles every three months and I’m a member. I not only get a discount, but myself and two other people can do a wine tasting every day for free if we wanted.

You must go visit Nancy at the winery, she’s very gracious and she’s very picky about what you like. She want for you a sample until you taste and approve. The prices on mazing. This the pineapple champagne is incredible we bought a bottle right away.
The sourdough brie by Yolanda is amazing it’s the first thing you should order when you arrive

I really don’t care if people get angry for my stars even though I had no wine here. Why? Because I spent the whole day running around in temecula trying out different wineries. But I haaaaad to stop here for the baked Brie.
And I am so lucky to have gotten the last one of the day — they only make a handful per day so watch out if you’re driving long distance just for this bread! It was still warm and Fresh out of the oven when I got it in the afternoon around 3. You know when something is really yummy and you choke on the food and almost cry… it was like that. And it was a generous size so we took it home and between two people it was enough to share throughout the week.
I seriously don’t know how they make it that heavenly. Oh and this place is dog friendly!
If I ever go back to Temecula I am definitely calling here to reserve one Baked Brie in advance…

Wife and I stopped here on out way of Temecula. Wine was mediocre, on par with the rest of the Temecula wineries. It was crowded and service was poor, again right on par.
The thing that really turned me off was during our tasting the host gave us the last bit of wine out of the bottle. He picked up the bottle. .looked at it and decided it was good enough. .I was thinking don’t do it… don’t do it. .don’t do it… and as I suspected a glass of sediment… great job.
They get an extra star for hot fresh sour dough bread.
Word of advice, if you’re serious about wine, take the extra bit of time and go to Santa Barbara or Paso Robles. Across the board Temecula just isn’t there yet.

Location: This winery looked more like an old fashioned farmhouse than anything else. Windmill and all. Medium sized parking lot out front, but no issues parking on a Saturday mid afternoon. They had a small farmers market looking thing going on outside the building with a few craft booths too.
Service: When you walk in there is a register directly to your right where you purchase wine tastings. At $ 12 for 5 tasting AND you get to keep the glass, this was probably the best deal we encountered on our short Temecula trip. We shared one tasting again (so we could go to more wineries… duh). Unlike the other places we visited on this day, Maurice Car’rie wineries seemed to be staffed almost entirely by older folks which gave it a slightly different vibe. The man who was helping us wasn’t overly friendly, nor was he rude though. We got all our wine in a timely manner and when we wanted a recommendation we got it.
Wine: We decided to try sweet wines exclusively here as this winery appeared to hhave the largest selection. We did end up tasting one of the port wines (last on the list so you know what that means) and it just tasted like sweet cough syrup. Needless to say we didnt enjoy that one. However we did have a 2014 Moscato that we thoroughly enjoyed and ended up buying a bottle of. If you buy a tasting they give you a 10% discount on any purchases.
TIP: On the weekends they have fresh sourdough bread! This was a lifesaver for us as we hadn’t eaten in awhile and sometimes crackers just don’t do it. The bread was delicious. If we weren’t so far from home we would have bought the sourdough brie loaf too — that one was bake at home and in the fridge at the back the tasting room.
Overall: Good experience — low key and nonjudgmental. I know that sweet wines are not exactly the most popular with regular winos, but we felt comfortable at this place. Will probably be back next time we are in Temecula.

Maurice Car’rie Winery was our last stop in a self-​guided mini winery tour of the Temecula area. I was most excited for this winery since I read that they specialize in white wines and fruit infused sparkling champagnes.
The perks of Maurice:
+ Very friendly service
+ Generous pours for wine tasting
+ Complimentary wine glass with tasting
+ Great if you like sweeter white wines
+ Baked brie in sourdough bread bowl is phenomenal
+ Lovely atmosphere inside and outside
+ DJs and small vendors on the lawns outside
Things to note:
— It can get crowded around the holidays and weekends
— Red wines are average
Overall, I really enjoyed enjoyed my visit at Maurice and would love to come back if I am in the area.

Pleasure to have met Nancy at the wine tasting counter, she is a beautiful soul. If you ever make it out ask for Curtis and especially for Nancy, they are both genuine people. The rest of the staff was attentive and ok.
Browsed around at first and asked questions. Upon arriving the cashier outside the tasting room is cash only, but you can use your credit card inside and just show your receipt to the outside cashier to place your order of their delicious Sourdough w/​Brie.
So after placing our sourdough bread order we started to taste a few wines while waiting for our bread to come out. They said 15 minutes. We spent time with Nancy and we let the time pass, Nancy mentioned it a few times and after not seeing the cashier approach us my friend went to inquire about it, turns out the cashier didn’t place the order the first time.
Since we were going to wait again we decided to finish our wine tasting and then get some other food from across the way at their kitchen, we ended up ordering a turkey and swiss with jalapeños panini, very good.
The outside grounds are lovely and they set up a few stands by locals to sell items. I didn’t browse them.
Make it a destination if you’re near the area, try some great tasting wine and don’t forget to order your sourdough bread with Brie cheese.

I heard the baked brie was supposed to be amazing. Let me clear the air: It’s aiight. I’d say it’s good, but maybe after several bottles of vino you would think the brie was to die for. It was, however, the highlight of the meal. I ordered a hamburger and it was disappointingly dry.
We had friendly servers, ate our meal on the patio and enjoyed the lovely weather. We walked through the many vendors in the front, but nothing more than a quick browse. I can’t vouch for the wine or the rest of the grounds, but from what I saw I wasn’t all too impressed.

This winery was much different than some of the others and I liked that about it. It looks like a big ranch-​style house converted into a tasting room. There’s a huge counter that wraps around the back of the place and you stand up at the bar and taste. You get a card for 5 tastings and the employees are friendly, helpful and unpretentious. I enjoyed the brut here, but the Sauvignon Blanc was one of my favorites. I didn’t care for the flavored sparkling wines, but that’s because I prefer dry wine and found the flavored ones too sweet.
We got a Sourdough bread bowl filled with melted, buttery, garlicky Brie cheese. Oh man, that was fantastic. It was so huge, the three of us couldn’t finish it. It was so good, I would drive there just to order that and take it home.
Another thing I enjoyed about this winery is that they had a DJ with music playing and booths with items for sale from local vendors that sold natural soaps, jewelry and other goodies. I really enjoyed the relaxed vibe here and would definitely come back.

Not quite sure why they get such a low rating… I REALLY enjoyed their wine and the bread bowl was everything I’d ever dreamed of and more! If you’re going there expecting a huge red wine list you’ll have another thing coming as it’s definitely a French place. But they wrote «Happy Birthday» with a balloon on my wine glass!!! How can you not love that? :)
Also, I enjoyed the change of pace they give with the blended smoothie concoctions, they were actually very tasty, especially on such a beautiful day!

This is a favorite winery to visit mid-​way through a tasting trip for two reasons.
First, being they have a large grassy area with tables and they allow you to bring outside food, so it makes for a great spot to relax and have a picnic lunch. On nice weekend days they’ve had a DJ playing music and vendors selling jewelry and other little things that you can browse.
Second, and most importantly, it is home to the best sourdough baked brie! Come for this if nothing else. It’s an entire round loaf of sourdough with buttery garlic goodness and brie cheese baked into it. One can easily feed 5 or 6 people with a normal affinity for cheese.
Unfortunately, I can’t say much about their wines. They have the widest selection of fruity sparkling wines. I used to like their pineapple champagne, but on a recent visit we bought a bottle and it didn’t taste as good as it used to.
