We have hired Chef Suzanne for a number of events both formal and casual over the years. Her food is always a big hit! Some of our all-​time favs are her pesto filled tomatoes, pesto chicken penne (her pesto is to DIE for!), tri tip (fingers crossed there are leftovers. We use it for tacos the next day), her lumpia, Caesar salad bites (so yummy and convenient for guests!), and Brie with pears.
What we love about working with Johnson catering is how well connected Chef Suzanne is to other vendors, so she is usually a one-​stop shop and is always willing to collaborate. She offers complimentary tastings, which we used to take advantage of, but we pretty much know her whole menu by now and we just trust her with whatever she wants to make! Her prices are always reasonable as well, so it allows us to take advantage of hiring catering without killing our budget. This makes our events much more enjoyable and allows us to spend more time with our guests!
We have been using Johnson catering for many years, and we will continue to do so. As a matter of fact, she just catered our daughter’s birthday party on June 7^th, and we also hired her for an engagement party we are hosting on July 18^th. Looking forward to eating her delicious food!

Suzanne has been very difficult to work with. Her emails after our event asked for more money, and she played my family members against one another; awful customer service. Her employees were on their phones instead of working, and when one came to clean up, he cursed at our guests.
Vegan meals were downright awful, Filet mignon was cold half way through eating it, her sides were the most plain and bland food imaginable. I have been very frustrated by all this as I felt like she NICKLE AND DIMED US EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.
I would cook your own food, or hire someone else.

Pretty bad food. I just got done eating 5 mins ago at a friends wedding.
The main course was prime rib and it was burnt to hell, it was an over over done roast. I commented on this when getting served and she said she had an «oven malfunction» did you not check it while cooking it at all?
The green beans were almost raw and the mashed potatoes were very under salted.
Just really not impressed with the food.

Johnson Catering catered my baby shower in November of 2013. She really made my day very special for my family and I. The quality and taste of her food is OUTSTANDING. She really takes her time to make sure every thing is great. My first meeting with her was when I went to her home to taste the food. She basically prepared every thing on her menu for me. It was so difficult to choose what I wanted because everything was so delicious. I ended up choosing the filet and chicken alfredo for the two main courses and each guest had to pick one to have. All of my guests were greeted at the door with shrimp cocktails and lumpia horderves. I had about 100 guests at my baby shower. For dessert, Suzanne prepared mini size cheesecake, chocolate covered strawberries, and fresh fruit with whipped cream on top. My family really knows how to eat and she had more than enough food. She is very kind and warm and really makes sure you get what you want and love it. Highly recommend her. She’s who you go with if you need catering for a wedding or a special event. Love her and her work.

I went to a friends birthday last month and Johnson Catering was perfect. The chef and servers had elequently accomodaded everyone from the time we sat down until the time we left. The food was delicious and kept coming! I would highly reccomend this company to anyone looking for a caterer. Thank you Johnson Catering!

Had a great time at a recent event hosted by Long Shadow Winery and Johnson Catering and Events. The servers brought out bruschetta, brie en croute and artisan cheeses to start. It was all so delicious. Then Suzanne, the chef grilled and sliced an amazing tri tip roast. The servers were all very courteous and friendly.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you Johnson Catering team.

Well I just attended one of the events for a friend and I have to say that. This Johnson Catering & Events was awesome. I loved the food, the staff was amazing, and the person in charge knew what they were doing. Just how I tasted the food it reminded me of home and how much I loved being in america. Thank you Suzanne for the memories that I will never forget and I will tell everyone about your cooking. I hope that your company grows even bigger than what it is now. I wish we had read the Unilocal reviews prior to booking Johnson Catering for our daughter’s wedding. Yes, most of the food was delicious and well-​presented. The passed appetizers were wonderful. The bacon-​wrapped filet that was served for the main course was also good. The servers were polite and efficient. Serving raw potatoes and vegetables and overcooked halibut, however, was inexcusable. It was embarrassing to us, as hosts, to have one of our GUESTS ask the servers to stop serving until the food was properly prepared. Suzanne was rude to the site staff, as well as her own staff. Wedding guests commented to us about this. She blamed the evening’s mishaps on the event site, when it turned out there was a faulty temperature gauge on her oven. (Note: the wedding site is home to many large events throughout the year that run much more electricity through the power grid than she with no problems.) After speaking with her following the event, it is clear that customer service is not her strength. She is defensive, and unable to accept responsibility for mistakes. Not only did we not receive any type of refund, we didn’t even receive any type of apology.

Absolutely love the food! Every bite from appetizer to dessert was filled with flavor! My favorites were shrimp cocktail, lumpia (egg roll), tri-​tip, yummy potatoes and chocolate mousse for dessert!!! I didn’t want the experience to end!

Johnson catering was superb! We had a wedding reception for over 50 people and they handled everything from the food to the tables to the cleanup! The food was absolutely delicious — perfect! Suzanne made all the arrangements so we could spend time doing the extra little things. She takes all the stress off of you so you can simply enjoy yourself. Her staff was courteous and she is the consummate professional. I would highly recommend her for any event! Nancy G.

Suzanne and her staff were wonderful to have at our backyard wedding reception. Suzanne personally went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect, even little details that had little to do with her service. The food was wonderful. Suzanne worked with me even creating some special foods I wanted served. It’s nice to know you can depend so fully on a team especially when you have so much going on. You can rely on her to cover all the details and needs absolutely no direction during your event. Our bartender did not show up and Suzanne offered one of her servers to attend the bar for us. She was a savior.

Suzanne and her caterers and staff did an overall fantastic job at our wedding. We had them do tray pass appetizers, which everyone enjoyed. The food was delicious. We had tri tip, vegetarian mousaka and cornish game hen. People loved the food, especially the tri tip and mousaka, and they went back for seconds. I found Suzanne responsive to questions and willing to adapt. Her staff was very friendly with the guests. The one issue I had was that I wish that she and her staff came earlier to set up. It felt as though they were running behind. I would have gladly paid the staff for an hour more of their time. Overall, a great value for the money.

This is the worst catering company!!! I used this company to cater my wedding. I had a plated served meal. Food was served cold, undercooked, and worst of all the company RAN OUT OF FOOD. Many of my guests did not receive all the food I paid for. When I contacted Suzanne about this she was unwilling to provide me with a refund for the poor service (even though she admitted to running out of food and serving cold food). I was then forced to take the company to Small Claims Court on August 29. The judge ruled in my favor and Johnson Catering & Events was required to refund me money. Suzanne has NOT made payment to me. I have contacted her requesting the money and was given this response «I will not be giving you a cent.» ATTENTION Do not use this company. I have never been so dissatisfied by a company before. Suzanne is unprofessional, untruthful, and unethical. I repeat: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
The response from the owner regarding a judgment for me to remove «slanderous comments from the internet» is untrue. Our first constitutional amendment is FREEDOM OF SPEECH! The small claims court judge only made a judgement for Suzanne Johnson to refund me a portion of my money I paid her to cater my wedding. I would also like to add that I contacted Suzanne Johnson one week after my wedding to express my concerns regarding the food being served cold and running out of food. It wasn’t until 3 months after she refused to offer any type of refund that I took her to court! I wish Unilocal would allow me to put «0» stars. This company doesn’t even deserve 1 star!
