Extremely pleased with the final results and hard workings. After texting pictures of the tree we wanted removed and a stump to grind, we were able to come to an agreed price. J&M came out a few days later, were pleasant and kind and started working. It took a few hours and the 3 men were all working hard, efficiently and together to get our tree down without damaging our fence or yard. I was so impressed with the cleanup afterwards and how they left the area looking pristine! Will definitely use these guys again in the future!

Mike initially was friendly but Mike & Steve are part of a Bait & Switch & Sue you if You Don’t Agree to Pay them for Whatever They Ask For Scam. They Never sent Over a Contract with their Proof of Licensure or Insurance Liability as I requested. They Lied in Telling me They Were Licensed & Bonded as They were in the Trade for over 35 Years and Could BID the Job Based on the Pictures that the Tenants at the property Forwarded to me over the phone and called to BID his price. When I told Him I had other Lower Bids he came down in price and said he could go over to the property later that same day.
They never showed up until a day later to BID the Job… So I figured they were no longer interested. Yet I received a text late at night saying they would go over in the Morning and could Start the Job. I told them That I did NOT want them to Start the Job until I received they Contract & Proof of Insurance.
I receive a call several hours later to say their Bid Was too Low and they wanted me to send over my other BIDS so they Could Decide on a Fair Price to Remove the Trees & Stumps and said they Could do the Job if they Eliminated the Eucalypti’s tree and that they had a crew ready to start… I said I did NOT agree and wanted all the Trees removed or Not at all as I have other Tee Guys who will do it for less… They Said ok they would go ahead and do it at the Agreed price but wanted to know if they could leave the Branches… I said NO and stood firm to my Price. They said they would call me back later…
I received a call asking if I could come up and meet them as they decided to get started and the Job and wanted me to meet them… I was stuck in traffic and it was dark and so they said they would be back to finish up the next day. My tenants came home and said there was a mess in the driveway and damages to the Roof, Fence and concrete and wanted to know when they tree guys would be back to finish up. I called Steve & Mike but they never answered until a Day Later I got a Call saying they were ready to complete the job but wanted to meet and renegotiate the price & also wanted me to send them the other BID’s that I had received. I was at work and stopped to forward an email on my break with a BID yet told them I had verbal Bids and or needed to Scan the rest of them and did NOT think it should be required or necessary. I also told them that I never received anything in writing from them and wanted them to send over a contract before beginning… They said they already started the job and wanted me to agree to their price increase. When I heard they wanted to triple the price or cut the work in half I did not think it was fair and let them know… They didn’t show up the next day and or call back for a couple of days and were continuing to renegotiate for not just a few hundred dollars more but for several thousand dollars… The then turned from being friendly to saying they would put a lien on the property. I asked for his license and he then said he would file a personal injury lawsuit and hung up. He preceded to text me saying he was going to his Doctor and going to tell him that he hurt his back while watching other’s work and then go to his lawyer and sue my Homeowners insurance and also tell everyone on Google that I am a «Scammer». What a Hypocritical Liar and Scammer he turned out to be.

Did great work in 2013 but now in 2014 they will not get back to me. They did work for my neighbor on 7÷29÷2013. I posted a photo showing them at work on that day. I walked across the street and asked if they would trim my palms. They did an excellent job. Fast forward to 7÷15÷2014. I called Bryan at the company and he said they would get back to me. No call. I call Catherine on 8÷5÷2014 and said I was waiting for a call. She said they would call the next day. No call. I left a message through Unilocal on 8÷13÷2014 and no call. I don’t understand. My experience in 2013 was fantastic.

I recently wrote a review regarding J & M not getting back to me on a quote. No sooner than I posted the review they did call me back. I have no issues with J & M tree service.

This company was working and removed 2 big trees on our front yard. They almost finished job when stumb grinding machine stop working. So they told us they will be back next morning. Now is 2 – 3 weeks pass and no one showed up. Tried to contact over phone and the problem is still not resolved.

I am very pleased with the service provided by J&M! Mike «educated» me, showing me how to identify the infestation affecting my beautiful trees. J & M doesn’t just chop trees down and grind out roots, although that is one of their services. They treated several of my trees, trees I was convinced I was going to have to have removed. Their pricing was very fair. If necessary, I will use J&M in the future.

Called these guys for a quote to remove a huge pepper tree that was threatening my foundation. They immediately got back to me, told me to shoot them some pics from my cell phone and they would give me a quote over the phone. Not only was the quote accurate but very convenient. Extremely responsive to all my communications and courteous! Within 24 hours of my initial contact… they had the tree out, roots gone, stump gone, and all debris removed. Great price and phenomenal work! While here he pointed out some other potential «problem» plants and began to tell me how to get them out of there… he stopped short and said «you know what, I will just remove them for you» then got to work… at NO EXTRA COST! Thanks so much for your great service, and the lead on where I can get some better, less invasive, trees at a much better price!

I had this crew come out last year to trim a large tree and they were unprofessional personally, however did a good job on the tree for a good price. This year I called them four times before they scheduled to come out and trim, no show and no call. i called them and he apologized and gave me a new day and time said they will be out there first thing in the AM. Again they were a no show and no call. I called them never received a return call. Am done, just hired another crew and will not use this company again

This tree service company was reliable and fair. I booked them to cut down 2 trees and 1 playground set. Not only did they have everything done and cleaned up and gone in under 80 minutes but they also cut up small pieces I could use for fire wood. Highly recommended and fair price. I would definitely hire them again for other projects.

Out of 3 estimates, J & M came in with the best price and earliest start date. I had 2, 40 foot trees removed that hung over neighbors yards but they do more than just that. Mike requested no money up front and discusses my expectations before starting. Removal took 4 days due to backyard tree location and neighbor cleanup. 5 stars if they would have let me know when they were coming each day and how much more needed to be done.

Very pleased with the pricing and the quality of work. This is my second time hiring them and they did an excellent job. They are a hard working crew and take pride in their work. Great job guys!!!

Met Mike while he was at our neighbor’s house cutting down a tree. Gave us a reasonable estimate to remove and stump grind four queen palm trees from our back yard. Mike and his four-​man crew showed up; cut down and cut up all four trees; ground all four stumps down; loaded everything up in their truck; cleaned up the mess; and were outta here in less than 2 hours on a hot, humid Saturday in July. Mike and his crew were really friendly, courteous, and hard workers. Mike even gave us some tips re what to plant in the now palm tree-​less area, as well as how to care for our fruit trees.
If you are looking for a tree service run by a great guy with an awesome crew, I highly recommend giving J & M Tree Service a call. You won’t be disappointed with the price and the great service.
