Green Ivy Nails & Spa

As a not-​so recent transplant to Temecula/​Murrieta, I’ve been looking for a new nail «home» for some time. This is the 3^rd place I’ve tried and I think I’ve found my home.
First, the pros:
1. Walk-​ins are welcome
2. They use sealed, sterilized tools for each pedicure — a huge bonus as far as I’m concerned.
3. Credit cards are accepted — although there is a $ 0.95 service fee per charge.
4. They are open 7 days a week.
5. They have privacy curtains in between the pedicure chairs if you prefer not to have the other patrons staring at you.
6. They have a pretty good selection of gel nail colors.
7. They don’t charge extra if you want gel polish over your acrylic nails.
8. Pricing is comparable to what I’ve seen at other area salons. I paid $ 50 (not including tip) for an acrylic fill with gel polish and a pedicure with callus removal.
Cons:
1. They don’t accept tips on credit cards, so be sure to bring cash.
2. They’re not overly friendly/​talkative. Not a huge deal, but conversation is a little stilted. Although, they are good at greeting each patron immediately upon entering the salon.
I am, like many people, VERY particular about my nails — the shape, the thickness, all nails even in length and shape, etc, etc. They have to look right from my perspective so I always ask the technician to file them straight looking at them from that angle. Some are fine with that and others act like I’m insulting their mother by making a request. I also prefer not to be left with edges that need to be filed and/​or extra acrylic under the nail or along the cuticle. I know, call me crazy.
With all that being said, John at Green Ivy is a true professional. He listened to what I asked for and gave me exactly that. He didn’t get offended when I asked him to file them the way I wanted and he sat patiently while I double-​checked the length. Also, he is very competent and careful with his drill. I did not get a single nick along my cuticles. John carefully filed away every rough edge leaving no noticeable edges or lumps that will look bad as they grow out.
All in all, a very pleasant experience. They only reason they don’t get a 5-​star rating is the cash only tip policy. I rarely carry cash so it’s kind of a pain to remember to get it. I’ll definitely be going back.

This was my first visit here since I had been going to my regular place for over 4 years now. Looked on Unilocal and this was the place that seemed the best so I decided to give them a shot with my cousin!
So here we are, walking in and right away we are greeted by everyone. So A+ for customer service. I explain to them what I am looking for and they take me right away.
JOHN ended up doing my nails and let me tell ya, he did an awesome job! He is such a perfectionist and that I loved, he made sure all my nails looked the same (since I did coffin shaped), and made sure i was satisfied with it through out the process.
My nails are better then what I expected, thank you guys! I will definitely be coming back! And to top that, their prices are good as well!

I walked in with my cousin and immediately got helped. They are friendly and make you feel comfortable.
Great customer service, awesome job! They gave me just what i wanted! I will be back!

Tiffany (@creattiff on Instagram) was one of the best technician I’ve EVER had. Not only did she have great customer service, she really listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly what I asked for. She really took great care of me today and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my experience. I’m so happy with how my nails came out

They are about a 20 minute drive for me, but I’ve gone to closer places and always leave unhappy and always come back to Green Ivy. Tiffany is amazing at nails! Always so happy w/​the job they do, they listen to what I want and constantly check in with you during their job to make sure it’s looking how you want. I highly recommend.

Tiffany, Tiffany, Tiffany! She’s the gal to go to for acrylic nails and gel. She did a fabulous job on my acrylic and gel nails on my first experience with Green Ivy. She really pays attention to detail and takes her time ensuring that your nails are perfect. Needless to say, I will be back again! Thank you, Tiffany!

So happy that I reconnected with my FAVORITE NAIL TECHNICIAN! If you’re wanting the best nails in the Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee area, you gotta go see Tiffany at Green Ivy. She’s by far the BEST!

This marks a sad day for me. In my last review of this place I said that Green Ivy’s strength was «how consistently they provide good service». Well, suffice it to say that is no longer the case at Green Ivy.
The time before last that I had a fresh set of gels painted here I watched on in horror as the technician (not sure what his name is) peeled the old gels off of my fingers, pulling up my natural nail with the gel. I would never have expected such an unprofessional, harmful means of removal being practiced here. It is the result of sheer laziness.
The technician noticed that the gels were lifting in a couple of areas and didn’t feel like taking the seven or so extra minutes it takes to wrap them properly and scrape off the gel, so here I am with chipping nails that break before I can grow them out.
It is partially my fault for not speaking up. I sometimes have difficulty speaking up for myself. It is a bad habit, however, no one working at Green Ivy should be taking advantage of a soft spoken person to get away with tacky, lazy work.
That is not the only experience I have had here that has failed to meet my expectations of their service in the last month. The week after that I received a lackluster massage on a pedicure that I paid extra for, specifically because I just wanted a bit of attention paid to the massage.
Two strikes and you’re out. I’m shopping elsewhere.
You used to be great, Green Ivy! What happened?

I just happen to walk in green ivey nail shop after having a nice lunch next door down. My first time at this salon and Boy! As soon as i came in i was greeted right away and i feel that i have found my favorite salon than the last one i have been. I am giving this place a 5* also Lena’ the ones that did my nails was perfect! I am picky and she has my vote… a 5* will def be back real soon. Thank you guy’s.

I hope I got her name right because it was hard to hear on my car phone but Kim was amazing. She fixed my previous nail job. There was too much acrylic layered on and they were a weird shape. She was able to fix everything that was wrong and she was super sweet. Definitely recommend her.

Bad service. The lady was very rude.
First and last time for me. I only got a manicure since it was my first time, just to see if this was going to be a place I come back to weekly. I’m use to going where the employees are friendly.

I am so so happy that I found green Ivy. My daughter and I have been 3 times now and we have our favorite girls (Tiffany T. And Kathy). They’re always so spot on with any designs we want and the outcome is always beautiful. They’re very nice and gentle.

Green Ivy is one of the several nail salons I have tried in my effort to find a new local nail salon «home» somewhere in Temecula/​Murrieta area. I visited them approx. 3 weeks ago. I was a walk-​in and they were able to take me back right away, which was nice. The customer service wasn’t really impeccable although it wasn’t horrible. Hanna did my gel manicure and I believe Julie did my pedicure. My nails turned out nicely however I didn’t really see the huge polish selection like I read about in the reviews. The salon does need some updating and to be honest it could have been cleaner (my main reason for the 3 stars). I will, however, give them credit for their affordable prices. I do not think I will be returning though.

I haven’t been back in months but I’m so glad I finally came in to get my stiletto/​almond shaped acrylics done by Crystal. She is great, very sweet, and excellent at what she does. My nail design was done by Hannah and she was great too! Thank you girls! I will be back!

I have been here twice this month. The girls there are friendly. They are professional. I had the medi and jel color. Everything was done in 30 mins.
I recommend this place.

Time for my bi-​weekly treat and this place always hits the spot! Today I had the pleasure of Kathy work on my nails. I had seen her work in the past and she didn’t disappoint! I love her enthusiasm for her nail art and she delivered a design that I will not get tired of before Halloween! Thanks Kathy!

Found this nail shop online and decided to go in and get a full set. When I walked in crystal asked me to wait a few minutes. I believe she was on lunch. I waited for about 10 – 15 min. It wasn’t too busy when I went in. There were 3 customers .
The technicians name was Crystal and she did a fabulous job. I got a full set for $ 25 and added gel for an extra $ 5.
They also have an atm machine inside the shop, free of charge ! The shop seemed to very clean and organized. I will be back here to get my fills etc.
