History

Established in 1968.

Opened in 1968 as the Rancho California Track and Training Center, this expansive property spans 242 acres and a lifelong legacy of Equestrian excellence. Widely regarded as a premier multipurpose event center for Equestrians of every discipline from across the country, Galway Downs holds true to its mission of quality and Equestrian tradition.

In 2010, with the heartfelt promise of renovation and new life (while embracing the natural beauty and history surrounding the property), Galway Downs was purchased by the Southern Californian Smith family. So today, as before, and for years to come, Galway Downs is a standing, growing beacon of unyielding bonds, family, Nature, life, and truth.
