I found Dr. Herber on groupon trying to find a ZOOM teeth whitening deal.
The office is fairly small. I believe they only have one or two rooms to see patients. It looks & feels very «Home-​y» The staff is absolutely wonderful. Very nice. They took me back within maybe 10 minutes.
The assistant gave me 4 tabs of 200mg ibuprofen to ease the pain I may experience during or after the treatment. She also got the fake little different shades of teeth (she almost forgot) & chose one closest color to mine to compare for later. She also took a picture & said she would take another one to compare, Never took the after picture. As shes setting me up for the whitening its the front office lady (Blonde) doing all the setting up. got me a little skeptical (Is she front or back office?) because I wasnt sure if she knew what she was doing & she seemed a little nervous herself. (I’m a Medical Assistant so I watch everything and question everthing.) I asked her if she was front or back office & she replied saying they were a small office & they all work together.
Before she began to put the treatment on, the young lady (brunette) asked the blonde if she was going to do the treatment. they were going back and forth a little bit because it seemed like they both wanted to do the treatment. at this point I have a mouth full of cotton & teeth guard thingy feeling a little worried. Ms Blonde was the one who ended up doing the whole treatment.
The treatment was 2 applications of the whitening gel each for 20 minutes. I was also skeptical about this because I was told at my regular dentist office that it is suppose to be 3 applications each for 15 minutes making it a total of 45 min. I regret not asking. I dont know if this was either a ripp off or what. Yes I did get the treatment for way less money having the coupon but the whole point of this is to SAVE and still get the ORIGINAL treatment or else what is the point of the coupon?
While in the room during the each 20 min the assistant turned off the lights, closed the blinds & put some music on which was very nice. I was able to close my eyes and relax. I did not get any pain during the treatment but boy when I left the sharp sting began. Took another Ibuprofen I had in my purse as soon as I left the office. The pain continued though. Horrible Horrible sharp stinging pain. went away after a few hrs.
As for the Whitening… it brightened up maybe one shade lighter after they compared. I DID NOT go in w high expectations at all & i was dissapointed :(really thought it was going to brighten more than it did. I know it is different for evreyone so i coulnt complain. idk how to describe my teeth very well but theyre more of a solid looking, in other words iv seen people w a kinda translucent look, mine are opposite. Maybe a chalky look?

I like this office very much. It’s intimate and there’s never any waiting to see Dr. Herber. The staff is friendly, funny and they have a good repertoire with each other. Dr. Herber is also the first dentist I’ve been to in a long time that didn’t insist I needed deep cleanings or other costly procedures. He was honest and forthright and from my personal experience, those qualities are very difficult to find in a dentist.

I had a problem with an old bridge, and visited a few dentists to gather some opinions on what to do. Two dentists insisted I needed implants, and quoted prices that dropped my jaw. The third, Dr. Herber, told me he believed he could save the tooth in question. And he did! He performed a root canal, and installed a new bridge, at a fraction of the cost quoted by the other dentists. I’m convinced that Dr. Herber’s experience, wisdom, honesty, and low-​overhead business model combine to provide excellent dental services at a very reasonable cost. This is especially important to those of us without any form of dental insurance. I’m happy with the work he’s done on me, and I’d highly recommend Dr. Herber.

GREAT experience with Dr. Herber and Sharyn. They are professional, friendly, great prices, and are willing to work with me without dental insurance. They call when they say they will, email back too, and give friendly appointment reminders. They recently moved their facility to this location and I’m excited to see the progress next time I go back. I would definately refer them to my family and friends.
