I love everything they serve here at Campini’s! The Campini’s special is the best sandwich ever!

Good food, terse staff, lost our order. No refund or free side to compensate. We were waiting 30 minutes with a fussy toddler and when I asked for a tiny cookie to appease her, they weighed it and charged me 45 cents! After losing my order!

Food Tastes good but man is service slow. I had to wait for over 35 minutes for a small order. Two people who ordered after me got their food before I did. They also need happier staff who can put on a smile and not sound so grumpy lol. The two guys I came across are all smiles and super happy and then these two women(one older, one younger) are so unhappy. Wish they would smile more but they are nice. Food: excellent beef ravioli dinner! The salad is a little sad but their garlic bread and meatball that comes with it is delicious. Their pastrami sandwich is ok, not as good as other places I’ve tried. Can’t wait to try their pasta and perhaps some dessert next time. Maybe a cannoli! They have a nice selection of meats and cheeses and sauces. They have quite a bit of stuff to choose from. Ambiance: very homey. It’s a tiny little ma and pa style restaurant. Very crowded and messy though. It’s almost like a little market in front of their window displays. Baskets of all sorts of chocolates and goodies that look imported from Italy. They have a wine section in the far right corner of the restaurant. Interesting. I would recommend to try this place!

First, I have to clarify that the rating is for the customer service not the food; the food is awesome. The roast beef dip is my favorite! I go there a lot and the lady who takes the orders(cashier?manager?) always makes me feel unwelcome; she’s not friendly at all, almost harsh, and never smiles back at me even though I’m always polite and smiling. After the last time, I have decided that I just won’t go back which is very unfortunate, because the food is very good. I hope someone encourages that lady to be more friendly.

We ordered ravioli, lasagna, pizza and a sandwich. The sandwich was mediocre, they only had one type of pizza to choose from, and the sauce for the pastas was horrible. The staff was not really friendly and seemed to be annoyed we were there. Definitely not someplace I will continue to give my business.

Delicious subs and salads! It’s a cute little Italian deli. Cozy and perfect for a quick lunch. I had the Italian sandwich and tortellini salad. Perfect!!! I wish I lived closer!

Yesterday was strike 3 for them. The sandwiches are very good but expensive. I cannot get past the treatment from the owner. By no means do I want my ass kissed, but her attitude is just short of a f*uck off. We walked in and were greeted with a «just stepped in dog shit» look on her face. Not even a «can I help you.» I looked around and asked her if they«were open» and she just gave me a single«chin up» nod. Didn’t even say a word to us. I wanted to walk out but being a p*ssy whipped man, my wife said we were eating there. We ordered and she reluctantly rung us up. My wife then decided she wanted some cheese to take home, so I asked«Sunshine» if it was ok with her if we «spent more money». She gave me the old«over exaggerating» and«put out» exhale. I said«if it’s too much trouble, we don’t need the cheese.» She just gave me the new total. Again the sandwiches are really good but unless you’re into the«dominatrix» thing, spend your money somewhere else. PS, yes I like to use«quotes.» PSS, owner lady, I AM into the«dominatrix» thing. Call me, I’ve been a «bad boy.»

I have been so disappointed with the service the last few times I’ve been in there. The last time for me was when I walked in before a 4-some, nobody else was at the order counter, the cashier did not acknowledge me at all but walked out from behind the counter and proceeded to chat with the 4-some behind me. It is this same person that my husband and I have received continuous bad service from. That was it for me. I’m sure their food is still yummy, but I can’t keep setting myself up to be treated so poorly. A simple hello, be right with you can go a long way.

The Best Pastrami in the area… Great food & deserts… Very casual, walk up to order, indoor & out seating… Lots of great food choices for lunch and they also have homemade frozen prepared dishes to take home… Yum!

3.5 stars rounding up. We got sandwiches here to go to take to a winery for a picnic lunch. It’s in a good location not too far from some of the wineries like Danza del Sol. I got the Campini Special was a pretty tasty sandwich with prosciutto, salami, and capocollo meats on an Italian roll with lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onions, and Italian dressing. We also got a side of the Caprese Salad which tasted okay but a little bland and dry. We also got the Potato Salad which was delicious! Parking: free in plaza lot

Hands down the best Italian sub in the area, which really isn’t saying much since there isn’t much to compete with. However, I have asked for hot giardiniera on my sandwich the last three times I have been here yet they always seem to be «out.» After the third time of hearing they were«out,» I felt the need to point out that they sell it by the jar. They said if I wanted it on my sandwich I had to buy a jar of it and put it on myself. Every time I come in here I am treated like I am doing the cashiers a disservice by ordering food and for this reason I won’t return. I am from Chicago and if I really want an Italian sub I can probably make one better than you guys anyway. Thanks for nothing!

Been coming here for years! Love the Campini Special! Freshly thin sliced meats, cheese, lettuce and onions with that red wine vinegar oregano dressing on a perfectly toasted Italian Roll. It’s what keeps me and my boys coming back for more!

There’s a legendary Italian deli in North Beach in San Francisco; Molinari’s. Campini’s is as good. Wonderful, hard to find Italian foods. Great prepared foods. Delicious sandwiches. Great staff. Engaged ownership. Well worth a trip to the south end of Front Street in Old Town.

This place is the real deal. Authentic Italian food and deli — simply the best meatball sandwich I’ve had in SoCal. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.

A co-worker and I were treated to lunch at Campini’s yesterday thanks to the owner of Faith Auto Glass, and we liked it! It’s definitely a little small and could use some more seating… We found the last open table and some people after us were kind of just standing around with their food waiting for a seat to open up. We split a 10″ turkey sandwich which arrived quickly… The sandwich itself was pretty standard and didn’t have that«WOW» factor we were hoping for. We both agreed that they probably have great pizza’s so we’re hoping to come back to try one soon!

High 4’s easily rounded up to 5 stars. Wonderfully little place. Meats and cheeses by the pound, canned and packaged goods the shelves, and wait — the mostest and bestest sandwiches(and pizzas)! What I delightfully ordered: Italian Sub and the Turkey and Cheese Sub for $ 7.45 each. Both were incredible with thinly sliced Boar’s head meat cheeses, but it’s the bread that makes it – soft and lovely. I found myself chomping away, eyes rolled back, and forgetting that I was dining with a lovely lady. Bad bad boy! I would come here everyday if I lived in the area. Matter of fact, this is worth moving here for!

Campini’s Deli is one of my favorite places to grub in the Temecula area. I usually order off the menu and get the Blazing Buffalo Chicken sandwich with ranch dressing on the side. The blazing buffalo chicken has an amazing taste with a little spice kick to it, The bread is usually lightly toasted so it can have a nice crunch to the sandwich. It also comes with fresh shredded lettuce, tomatoes and red onion. Yummy, my mouth is watering as I’m writing this review. They are very consistent and The sandwich is always fresh every time I order it. Sometimes they do not have the blazing buffalo chicken available, which is not the end of the world but there are turkey alternatives. Give this a try and you will not be disappointed. The ranch dressing here is the best I’ve ever had. Compliments the sandwich very well. I also order the apricot cannoli’s for dessert and this is literally the cherry on top of the whole meal. This combo might be a little on the pricey side but the food will not let you down. Campini’s is a small quant little deli that is nicely decorated with little taste of Italy here and there. I always enjoy eating my meal outside in their patio area to get some fresh Temecula air. It’s conveniently located at the end or beginning of old town(whichever way you look at it) and is always easy access to get to. Never any traffic on this side of town.

Just wanted to update that since my last review in 2011, very little has changed. Honestly, Im not sure if I’ve just come to expect absolute greatness now, but I feel like the pastrami sandwich has taken a very small step down. The good news is that it was so perfect before, that now its just«very good». I’m still coming back for more. This place still rocks, and the service is still very nice. It’s a treat to see a place that has maintained its excellence for so long.
