History

Established in 1952.

In the summer of 1952, Wayne Steimle launched construction of a swimming pool in his backyard. Hiring his high school students to help, he founded the California Pools business with little more than his shovel and his work ethic. Once the neighborhood grew intrigued by the swimming pool he built, he was able to innovative design numerous custom backyard adventures under the name of California Pools.
