This review is ONLY for the Temecula location, not Murrieta. I took my car into the Murrieta location earlier this week and had a great experience. I took another car to the Temecula Location and was told it would be ready in 45 minutes. I had my wife and kids with me so we left and walked over to the local dealerships looking at cars etc to kill time. I came back in just under an hour. Imagine my surprise when my car was in the same parking spot out front and they hadn’t even started working on the tint.
I walked in the back and asked what was going on. I was met with an extremely rude and hostile employee. (I imagine this individual was either the owner or at least a manager). I asked for my keys and paperwork back. The demeanor of the individual was threatening. I have never experienced behavior like this from any company in any industry. I will never take my vehicle to this location again and I would encourage anyone looking for service to go elsewhere. They are rude, threatening and do not honor your time.
After reading the reply from this business they are over the top. Complete lies. I can not encourage potential customers enough to find another business to use besides this one.

Got my old car tinted here when they were still Darksyde tint. Did an AMAZING job and when I got my new car of course I came back! I was worried with the new name it wouldn’t be as amazing. Turns out they got a higher quality of tint and I couldn’t be happier about it! Looks AWESOME! No bubbling of any sorts and a lifetime warranty. Plus the crew are super friendly.

We looked around for a good shop to tint our Mercedes E class. Cali Tintz was the best in the local area. They work with the dealers, so I knew I could trust their work and I had searched social media for reviews and they came highly recommended.
They offered us a great price and the tint came out amazing. Truly made the car stand out. We will always take our cars to them for tint in the future.

Cali tintz, formally known as darksyde blew me away with their five star service. From start to finish the experience was perfect. I called and made an appointment and they got me in same day. I felt so bad they stayed a little after closing to finish my car but they didn’t show any animosity that they had to stay late. I love when people care enough about their job that they just want their customers to be happy. The tint is beautiful and they so kindly put tape over my window buttons because I definitely would accidentally roll the windows down haha. Thank You so much for your outstanding service and completely reasonable pricing :)

They made it right by us after a rocky start. Fixed the bubbles in our clear bra, and reinstalled our bug shield. They were very apologetic for the miscommunication we had with one of their employees. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

Been wanting the top of my front windshield done on my new BMW since the dealership is not allowed to do it for me… but have been calling for three days now during «open hours» and nobody answers goes straight to voicemail and I showed up two days in a row (weekdays) and both days had closed sign up be back at 9am… WTF!

Asked for my entire roof covered in black vinyl, they did not do the antenna nor the side bike rack rails. I told them, who gets a black vinyl roof but wants part of it to be a completely different color that looks awful. I would have never gone with them had I known this infi prior, no one advised me the antenna or side rails could not be done so I expected my entire roof black. They said they would try to fix the antenna but refused to do the side railings, I never received a call back letting me know when to come in for the antenna. Poor customer service and had 2 noticeable bubbles in the vinyl wrap.

I was referred by a friend… Just got my BMW done and they did a great job! The owner and staff were really nice. I was kind of in a rush and they got the job done quickly! Got 12% done all around and I’m very happy with it. It looks awesome!

We love our front window tint!!! Don’t know why we waited — should have done it along with the side windows years back!!! The reduction in glare both daytime and nighttime is unbelievable. The sun no longer fries our legs — especially driving across the desert. Excellent customer service, went back because we messed up the side windows with a wipe and rather than take our money, a quick wipe with their window cleaner brought it back to like-​new! Thank you for your professionalism and honesty!!! Recommend you to anyone we meet!

Place is awesome. I’ve had all my cars tinted here. Was recommended to it by my father in law who also has all of his cars tinted here. They are very quick, greatly priced and are a pleasure to work with. I’m sure I will be back with my next car.

I as looking to get my windows tinted and figured that I’d I’ve give darksyde a call. After reading their reviews i was wondering if it was $ 165 or $ 99. The answer is its cost $ 165, not sure where people came up with the $ 99 but it false

I had my new Malibu tinted here about 10 days ago and couldn’t be happier. I was able to set a same day appt and right when I arrived they took my car back and went to work. It looks great and I will deffenily take any other tint jobs back to them.

In all the time we’ve known the guys at DarkSyde, they have tinted at least three of our cars we’ve owned. They have taken the time to make sure we know what we want and offer great suggestions when we didn’t know what we wanted (you would think by the third car, we’d know! Hahaha) :) The last time we were here (June 2013) the hubby broke the back window of our Expedition and we had to replace it. So we had to match the tint to the rest of the car. It was perfect!
I always refer my friends and coworkers to them. My neighbor and her family were out of state for about three years and when they returned back to the area they automatically brought their car here to DarkSyde.

in 2007 I took my mazda protégé 5 here. Since my car is a hatchback, my quote was $ 165. It’s usually $ 99 for a regular 4 door car if you have a flyer from them. $ 165 for my hatch was for the ‘extra door’ even tho it was really my trunk. the price raises for bigger vehicles and also varies from customer to customer. you get the idea.
I arrived at 8:50am, just in time when the owner that drives a fixed up SUV had arrive on opening time, 9am. He worked with me right away to select my tint.
I chose limo tint in the back and 5% for the passenger and drivers window regardless of it being illegal in California. I forgot the other guy’s name that is always there, he usually arrives in a motorcycle, he did my tint within an hour and a half. It was a spectacular job! The air bubbles only lasted for a couple days and I was able to roll down my windows after exactly 7 days. This is my first impression so I’ve always thought about returning.
In 2009, I bought a Toyota Corolla S and Toyota Matrix S. My intention was to get the same exact tint job from Darksyde. I took my Matrix in and was quoted the same, $ 165. Same experience, took an hour and a half and was done beautifully.
A few months later, I decided to take the Corolla in. By this third visit, I was a familiar face. There was also another customer that arrived the same time I did. She was helped first and was quoted a little bit more than $ 99 for her regular car. Then I was helped, he got my info and quoted a time frame then I waited. He also helped another customer and was quoted something different as well. Mind you, their lobby is not really a lobby, its a small ass room as big as a hallway with a desk so I could hear every conversation he had with the other customers, which we all had regular 4-​door cars.
When my Corolla was done, I cashed out, got my receipt, and left. The sad thing is that I noticed AFTER was that I was charged $ 165 again. I admit, it was my fault for not checking my receipt as he handed it to me, I received the receipt and bounced. but I mean, that obviously was annoying. I’ve always known about the $ 99 for «regular cars» and by the time I could have fought this off, it was past closing time. Yes it was a bit upsetting about the price difference but I actually love their tint job which sort of kept my mood bitter sweet about the situation.
My last experience with them was hella annoying which is why I decided not to do business with them anymore. I prefer not to make certain things a big deal but in this case I kind of wish I did because I was out a good $ 65. Honestly, these guys are great at what they do and they offer a lifetime warranty for their tint. My last visit with them, I noticed that you should just be cautious of their prices because they quote people differently not just on type of cars, but also on types of people, esp the push overs that will pay anything.
