Bruce Baker, DMD

We LOVE Dr Baker. He has seen my son for 7 years, routinely, and we have always had a pleasant experience. I’ve heard horror stories of other dentists not letting parents be with their kids. Dr Baker ALWAYS allows parents in the room. My son has had some minor procedures (pulled crowded teeth, placed a dental device). These were explained to me in detail, options were given and up-​front costs were discussed prior to anything being done. His front and back office staff were thorough, experienced and always very friendly. Dr Baker is efficient, skilled and great with kids. Kids Dental Care is worth my drive from Hemet.

Dr. Bruce Baker has been a great dentist for our son. We started going here when he was 4 and our son does very well here. We’ve tried another pediatric dentist before this one but he didn’t compare to Dr.Baker. Our son loves the waiting room, it’s jungle themed with toys and movies playing and each dentist chair has a TV with a movie playing as well. All of the staff has been very nice explaining their cleaning instruments and making it fun for our son. Thanks Bruce Baker Pediatric Dental!

I came to this dentist with high hopes, but am sadly disappointed. Our first visit was exactly how I had hoped, but as soon as Dr. Baker was filling/​putting spacers In my 5 year old son, he was an impatient rude person that made my child feel scared to say if something was hurting him. My son whimpered as he shoved in his spacers and he told him angrily to stop making those noises and didn’t care at all that he was hurting him. Fear is not the answer to pediatric dentistry, he lacks the patience needed for children dentistry and I’m sure would do much better working on adults. I will never take my child here again. I must say though all the women staff are so so friendly and have always treated us as though they actually love their jobs. As for Dr. Baker he needs to switch his field or age rage at least. Kids need to know what’s going on at all times and he doesn’t even talk to them, except to tell them to stop making noises!

I really wish I had a better experience but after going to another office for my 3 year old it was like day and night.
First the dental assitant taking x-​rays really struggled with my daughter. My daughter was very fearful and the gal would put the «cookie» in, tell her don’t move and then run the other way, which my daughter followed with her eyes. They really need digital/​portable x-​ray to make it easier for the kids.
Once we were in there we just sat and waited for 45minutes for the doctor to look at her for 2 minutes. Adults get aggitated by waiting imagine a 3 year old. The delay was because the front office «squeezed in» dental work on another patient at the same time as our appointment which made him late. I guess getting money for fillings was more important then making a first time patient experience enjoyable.
There was a family that came in after us, their appointment was after us and the doctor saw them BEFORE us!
My daughter was very fearful, and he really didn’t have any patience with her. He had us hold her and pin her down in order to look at her. She saw another dentist yesterday at another office and this was not needed. The dentist and staff just spoke to her and she followed directions. At the end of the appointment at check out the ladies in the front manually calculated our benefits and told us the «upgraded dental work» is not covered by my insurance. I called my insurance and asked them about these procedures and they ARE a covered benefit. Be sure to ask for the dental codes for the procedures and verify YOURSELF if something is not covered. They wanted an extra $ 200 a tooth for this and my ins said they cover it. Of course EVERY insurance plan is different but just confirm with your plan FIRST.
I don’t recommend this office if you have kids that are fearful of the dentist.

Thank you Dr. Baker for re-​doing my sons cavity filling. You fit me right into your schedule and took care of it.

I meant to leave a review after both of my children came in for their first visits but forgot.
My 8 year old just got a cavity filled and I am blown away at how great Dr Baker and his staff are with kids. Very calming and help decrease any anxiety my son had! Filling took less than 5 minutes! Not even a peep out of my son and now that he is done he isn’t scared to come back! Thanks Dr Baker!

So today I took my two year old daughter for her first dental visit. I was a little nervous on how it would go but she loved it. The staff was super friendly, great with kids and dr baker was amazing too. Highly recommended!

We love Dr. Baker. My girls have been going to him since they got teeth. They are 8 and 6 and totally happy to go to the dentist because of his great staff and his way with the kids. Explains everything and very gentle. We have had a couple procedures that went so smoothly, the kids were asking excitedly when their next appointment was.

Dr. Baker is a great dentist! My kids are always excited to go for their check ups. He is very kind and takes his time answering every question so that you are always comfortable with every procedure.

I wrote a review of this dentist months ago about our son’s horrible experience & was just contacted by Unilocal that it was removed. So let me paraphrase. Unethical practices, threatening tactics used by the dentist to get patients to comply, inaccuracies about the treatment that is SUPPOSED to be performed, and an experience that was so traumatizing to my small child, due to physical pain that was caused by Dr. Bruce Baker, that he now has dental anxiety & has to be sedated for dental services.

Finally a dentist that gets the job done! After trying for months to have my children’s teeth cleaned and examined by another dentist (TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE THERE!) I finally became fed up and decided to take them else where. A friend of my husband suggested that we try Dr. Baker as he has been taking his kids to him for years. I am very happy that I did. The office staff are wonderful and I was able to accompany both of my children into the exam room as the assistants took x-​rays and then cleaned their teeth. They did each child simultaneously in their own chairs making the appointment last a total of 40 minutes instead of 2 hrs as it had at our previous dentist. The girls that cleaned their teeth were very friendly and took the time to explain to the kids what they were going to do and showed them how each tool worked and what it did. Dr. Baker examined them quickly and thoroughly. I was very pleased with the whole experience.

This so called pediatric dentist should have his license revoked. Terrible with children, terrible w parents, scammer, malpractice .
He will try to talk you into getting procedures done that are not needed. If you question him he becomes nasty and rude.
Ex. My son had a dead front tooth from a fall off his bike. Baker (I don’t feel he deserves the title of Dr) tells me he needs a root canal. He said this was preventative due to a possibility of the roots becoming inflamed. Fyi this is a baby tooth that will fall out in a year. Then he said I needed to pull the tooth out. Fails to say that my son would then need an implant (which insurance does not cover because it’s cosmetic) to keep his teeth from shifting for the next year due to the untimely gap.
I could go on and on about Baker. Mostly I just went for the cleaning every six months. My kids teeth rarely needed extra care. The final straw was when he told me to be quiet and not talk to my younger son (four yrs old) during a filling. I wasn’t allowed to be near my son or in my sons line of vision (Baker had me sit by the door behind him). My child was so terrified that he pee’d himself! This was his first dental procedure not including cleanings. Also after he finished he informed me that my son had four more cavities which he wanted to fix right then. I said no. I took my son to another dentist. Prognosis: ZERO cavities .
BEWARE of Baker. Don’t go to him! There are plenty of dentists out there.
I would give Baker zero stars if I could.

Dr. Baker is very patient and thorough even with the youngest of kids. He is also kind and has wonderful bedside manner.
The office is adorable, clean, and has a great selection of educational toys and HD tvs to show movies to the kids.
The only downside is the long wait each time we go, but honestly, it is worth the great service by the staff and the doctor.

Dr. Baker is great, I have been taking my 3 kids there for 13 years. I recommend Dr. Baker highly for all kids.

The staff and Dr. Baker are amazing!!! My daughter was at so much more ease with this visit than at the first office I took her at. They are all super friendly and Dr. Baker was very informative and very kind. That whole office made us feel like they really care about their patients and the parents concerns. Highly recommend this dentist office!!!

I hated it here. Yeah it looks good in pictures but the dentist was not willing to listen to much. He wanted to do what he wanted to do and that was the end of it. I pretty much told him then and there we would be getting a second opinion. He wanted us to redo work that was just done in june… can you say money hungry.

The staff is beyond friendly. I like how the waiting room has stuff to entertain the little ones. I was able to stay in while they pulled my daughters teeth. That makes me comfortable not leaving her alone.

I have a seven year old who enjoys go to Dr. Bakers office. The staff is very good at what they do! We have been going there for 3 years and never had a complaint!

I have two young boys and they tend to get nervous about going to the dentist. Dr. Baker and his staff are very kind, patient, and friendly. We’ve been seeing Dr. Baker for about two years and all of our experiences there have been excellent.

Both my boys (ages 7 and 4) love coming here. I don’t ever have a problem getting them in the car when they know they have an appointment. The staff is very friendly and always make my boys feel comfortable! Dr. Baker is always willing to answer any questions I may have. It also helps having fun video games in the waiting area ;-)

Dr. Baker and his entire team are absolutely amazing!!! My son has had the worst experiences with dentists, until we found Dr. Baker. I am beyond grateful for him and everyone in that office. You won’t ever find another group that cares about your child as much as they do. Seeing how gentle, caring and informational they are brought tears to my eyes. I put my complete trust in him with everything he does and reccomends. I highly recommend him especially if you have a child like mine who feared going to the dentist. I am so relieved that I can now say my son has no fear. Thank you so much Dr. Baker and to everyone in the office, we appriciate you all more then words can say.
