A great place to visit. Some amazing animals — camels, zebras and bison including more common animals in a natural setting. Oh and did I mention, reindeer? If you’re in town, reach out to them and arrange a visit. Make sure to call ahead to ensure they’re open and also to get directions. It’s a little hard to find. A real gem in Tehachapi.

Large petting zoo. No trees or greenery of any kind. Just pens set out in the heat of the desert, with very miserly amounts of shade provided. It will be very hot this summer. Seems inhumane. I felt very sorry for the reindeer, particularly.

My family and I went to Windswept Ranch today and it was such a unique and wonderful experience. We got to pet and feed the animals. We had such a great time. The gentleman who conducted our tour was knowledgeable and so friendly. The whole family had a great time.

A truly unique experience for the naturist and/or animal lover. A bit out of the way(OK, it’s a LOT out of the way), but you can actually interact with some fascinating critters including zebras, camels, reindeer and bison. Also lots of less exotic but no less adorable animals. Good place for kids and groups. Comfortable attire a must.

Fantastic little place, off the beaten path between Rosamond and Tehachapi. My kids were absolutely amazed to see all of the different animals. They rode ponies and fed teeny piglets and even watched a llama interact with her very newborn baby. Great learning experience!

Love this place! Bring closed toed shoes and plenty of water!!! There is an area to eat in the shade if you want to pack a picnic. The tour guides are very friendly and knowledgable. There are a lot of animals, and even a petting zoo for the kiddos. We will definitely be back soon!

We went to Windswept ranch and enjoyed it, it does get very windy there. It’s $ 5 a person to go. You can purchase a small bucket for $ 1.00 filled with carrots and grapes to feed the animals. They have a lot of different animals, like buffalo, camels, zebras, donkeys, pigs, deer, horses, emu, and my favorite reindeer. Our tour guide was super sweet and knew all about the animals and their background. Good little trip, if your in the area.

I can’t believe this place wasn’t on Unilocal yet. I’m not gonna lie, it was a bit tricky finding this place. There is no address. The reason being because if you were to put the address in your gps, you would end up on the wrong place, out in the middle of nowhere! So, I posted a picture with a map to try to explain how to get there. Incase you get lost, call and leave a message(if they dont answer). They will call you back within 15 – 20 mins. Make sure to wear closed shoes cause your feet will get dirty. Once there, it is $ 5 per person. You will also get a little bucket with carrots to feed the animals. They had all different kinds. And you can pet most of them. The staff and volunteers were amazing too. Kids would love this place! Can’t wait to come back
