Going to a steak house I would expect thick cut bacon on my burger. Not thin cheap cuts of bacon. 2 that is. If you say bacon burger at least put enough on there for you can taste it.

$ 3.99 martini night on Thursday. What more do I need to say? Well for starters the food is pretty good too. The crab jalapeño poppers were awesome. I tried the patty melt and fries and was impressed. The burger was juicy and flavorful. Tried the Italian martini with amaretto. Then ordered a second one since it was so good. There is a whole menu with all different martini types. JR’s is a great casual dining place with good food and drinks all reasonably priced.

Stopped in the day after Christmas for dinner — I was surprised how busy it was. This place was hoppin! We were seated right away and our waitress gave us the run-down on the specials. $ 3 margaritas? Pretty sweet! There was a little confusion with the ordering process, our waitress was new — it was here second day — but she did a great job! We started with the pretzel sticks — they were awesome. I’m pretty sure the cheese sauce was the same kind they use at movie theaters and baseball games… not my favorite. My steak was a little overcooked, I asked for medium, I’d say it was more well-done than I’d have liked. I was happy with the vegetable medley I ordered on the side — they tasted fresh. Overall, this is a decent place and you get a lot of food for just a little cash.

Nothing interesting on menu, hokey atmosphere. Food wasn’t bad, but kind of blah. Over priced considering lack of effort and quality ingredients. Huge portions. Service was good. Did have some good microbrews on tap. Won’t bother going back.

Was starving when we walked in with my daughter and two grandchildren. We were seated promptly and our waitress was over to our her table immediately she was relatively attentive and was assisted by other waitresses. The onion petals were Well prepared., however the sauce had much to desire. I had the ribeye steak which was very mediocre quality meat for the $ 18 that they charged. Would not go there again. Décor was charming though

This is a great restaurant that also has locations in Adrian and Brooklyn. The menu is traditional American steakhouse — steaks(of course), burgers, wings, a nice variety of appetizers.

Waited for over an hour for our food. Fish and chips were the worst I’ve ever had. Tasted like frozen Gordens fish from the grocery store. Fries were beer battered but hard. Onion rings had an odd flavor, like coffee. The patty melt was over done and tasteless, could get better at Big Boy. The bun on the burger was dry and hard. I hate giving a bad review, but this is a fail attempt at BBQ in an area that is in desperate need of good restaurants. The second star was for the waitress who had clearly had a long day and wasn’t responsible for the bad food

Grandpa’s favorite place. The food is good and I think they have a good selection but I can never find something appealing on their menu. Maybe it’s just me. I am the least picky of the party but they all seem to find meals well enough. I ended up with soup and some small appetizer. Soup was good and I don’t recall the appetizer but I do remember the cool half beer bottle platter it came on. Good beer specials though the selection is limited. It’s worth a try. I cannot discount them for not appealing to me specifically when the rest of my family really enjoys JRs.

Great food and awesome atmosphere. Prices are great I just wish there is more seating. I think it would do them good to get a larger building.

Really disappointed. JR’s has always been, eh good enough, but not any longer. Prices rose while portions and quality have dropped. Today was my last trip to JR’s. Avoid if possible and thank me later.

This is one of the only bars I go to when I visit my sister. Every time I’m here, it’s packed. However, the friendly people at JR’s Hometown make you feel like you live in town. Always prompt, friendly, and things arrive quickly. Your water is never empty and it’s not super loud with TV’s or noise. Non-bar atmosphere allows you to bring kids and elders alike. The food is ok, nothing so far that I’ve had that has knocked my socks off, but it’s basic. If you’re going through Tecumseh, stop in.

Great food, big portions and cold beer! The only improvement I would make is that the server we had made it seem like she was rushing us out the door after we ate. I would come here again because everything else was great!

I go for the steak dinner mainly since I dislike sports, drinking alcohol and country music. It’s pretty loud in there and sometimes the service is slow if the place is crowded, so its better to go before 4pm and after noon. I also like the sauteed veggies and wild rice and salad, mushrooms. I did not like the tue tacos because they were cold, served on cold tortillas.

Excellent burgers and great service. You can tell they they use high qualiy meat. Excellent lunch specials. Mondays is half price wings. We love the spicy red chili sauce.

Went on a Monday for the half off wings. The wings were great and the service was awesome. The waitresses are always so nice and attentive. Great place to eat!

Been here many times. There are not many good places in Tecumseh but given the options, we often eat here. The food is decent, the menu is fairly large and there is something here that will make everyone happy. I personally like the drink specials and the large martini menu :) Never had a «bad» experience here and the place is usually pretty busy.

Been there about 3 times now with great experiences each time. Atmosphere has been good(a bit loud, but that’s a nice change of pace for Tecumseh). This should be one of the few go-to places if you’re stuck in Tecumseh.

Been here many times, this time I was here for lunch around 2pm. There’s about 20 people in here, the service is attentive and my food arrived very fast The chicken fajita wrap was great, as was the sweet potato fries. I notice they have a different manager from last year… this one is friendlier.

I’ve been here a couple times before with my mom, and although the food wasn’t really anything to write home about, it wasn’t gross. what a disappointment! we ordered fried mushrooms. undercooked, raw batter and cold in the middle. Mom’s ribs were OK but not great… my grilled shrimp was cooked well but so salty I almost couldn’t eat it. We also both ordered the mixed veggie side. It looked so good, but was in reality a very nice selection of fresh veggies — soaked in oil and SALT. way too much salt all around. I also had rice as my other side, and was kind of annoyed that they only put like one rounded tablespoon of rice on my plate. All in all we both decided to never go back. a $ 16 meal should not taste like a salt lick. We walked out feeling gross. F+
