Specialties
Our store specializes in fine and ideal cut diamonds and colored stones. We have two Graduate Gemologists on staff and have been honored several times for our original designs in respected design competitions. We travel regularly to Antwerp, Belgium, the diamond capital of the world to import diamonds directly from the source. We also have an extensive estate jewelry department.
We are a full line store. We carry bridal jewelry in all precious metals and stock diamonds up to 3 carats in size. We also carry natural fancy colored diamonds. Our jewelry is in white, yellow, rose and combinations of gold, plus platinum, palladium, sterling silver and gold filled. We have price points ranging from under $ 50 to over $ 25,000.
The watch lines we stock are Seiko, Citizen, and Pulsar, with price points from $ 59.95 to about $ 1,000. We are one of only a handful of Seiko Elite Jewelers in the state of Michigan.
History
Established in 1984.
Hacker Jewelers has been trusted in Lenawee County, Michigan since the 1950’s. The founder, Daniel B. Hacker founded his original store in Blissfield, Michigan circa 1956.
Daniel G. Hacker joined the family business full time after graduating from the prestigious University of Michigan Business School in 1981. They opened the Tecumseh, Michigan store in 1984, in a building which had housed a jewelry store for over 100 years. Barbara L. Hacker, Daniel G.‘s wife, joined the firm in 1984 and has helped manage the business ever since.
Today, Hacker Jewelers, Designers & Goldsmiths of Tecumseh is still family owned. Dan G. and Barb continue the tradition of excellence with a second Graduate Gemologist and an award winning design team on staff. Stop by and visit us soon!
Meet the Business Owner
Daniel H.
Business Owner
Daniel G. Hacker is the President and C.E.O. of the company. He has won several awards for his original jewelry designs. He earned his BBA. from the University of Michigan’s Ross Business School, and his MBA from Eastern Michigan University.
He earned his Graduate Gemologist Diploma from the Gemological Institute of America and was awarded his Master Graduate Gemologist Appraiser title from the Independent Jewelers Organization. He is a member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers.
He also served on the Independent Jewelers Organization Board of Directors, elected by his peer jewelers to represent a region which included several states plus Canada.
