Veggie Bistro & Cafe

Stopped here for a quick breakfast before going to a barber shop nearby for a haircut. Food was delicious! Received a complimentary waffle which was tasty. Eggs weren’t overlooked on my sandwich which was very tasty. Had a conversation with the owner, he was such a nice guy. Service left a little to be desired, but he seemed like a young kid who is just helping out a family member while they look for a legit server. I would come back

We had a good breakfast here — food was yummy, and we were happy about the diverse menu, and will be back. Service was fine — the food was not brought exactly together, but we received a free starter that made sure no one was hungry. The cappuccino was very smooth and good foam. I loved my scramble dish with fresh avocado and spinach. AND the home fries are a great mix of sweet and white potatoes.

I’ve been to Veggie Bistro twice now. The food is wonderful — really yummy dairy and vegetarian dishes, I especially love the soups and quiches. My first time there we had very slow and frustrating service, but the second time we had a very friendly and helpful server, and the food came out pretty fast. My one consistent complaint is that they don’t have every dish on the menu being made every day, and the days when they decide to make each one is not consistent with what it says on the menu.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is is flexible. If you want quality, filling, delicious food, but don’t mind waiting a little longer or choosing something to eat that you wouldn’t otherwise try, then definitely give this place a shot!

Stay away! The food looks good, but the service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. After waiting over an hour for eggs, we left. The owner was rude and kept making sorry excuses. Unless you have nothing to do all day, it’s not a good option.

Terrible. Bad food. Bad service. Waited 45 minutes for my food and it arrived lukewarm. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Most delicious Tuna we’ve ever had. Cooked to perfection. Owner/​manager is very friendly and made a special food to my wife’s specifications. We highly recommend and will be back soon.

! Also, it is so good! My boyfriend and I tried it for the first time on Valentine’s Day. We were looking for something not all that expensive and healthy. The food was amazing! At first, the waiter was a little too nice. He kept coming over before we ordered offering us new items, but we were still trying to pick a menu item. However, he was really nice. The food was really good and there are so many healthy options. You can make your own salad and wraps which is a great option. I tried the energizer sandwich, which was phenomenal. The bread was so good! They also give you homemade chips and dip for the table, which are fantastic. My boyfriend and I will definitely be back. AMAZING!

I had read good reviews about Veggie Bistro, so I was looking forward to eating there. Sadly, I was disappointed.
We each ordered one dish and one drink. Kids ordered off the kids menu and chocolate milk. The food was not delivered together — the kids food came a good ten minutes before mine, except for the chocolate milk.
My smoothie came and it was lukewarm. I asked for some ice, only to be told they didn’t have any. How can you market all different types of fruit smoothies and shakes without any ice?
When my sandwich finally came, I must say it tasted pretty good. The salad that came with it, however, was not. I had the side Caesar salad, and the dressing tasted like pureed garlic. The garlic overwhelmed anything else that may have been in there.
Finally, when we were pretty much finished eating, the kids’ chocolate milk showed up. Is it so hard to make chocolate milk that it should take over half an hour to get it?
Overall, the food may be ok, but the service is definitely lacking. I even heard the table next to mine sending things back, with one person even saying to the waitress, «This is ridiculous! How many times do we have to send things back in one meal?»
I will definitely not be eating at Veggie Bistro again.

This is a new little kosher place in Teaneck that is super delicious, has a great casual, clean, fresh and cozy atmosphere with every detail paid attention to with my food order. The staff is extremely friendly and ready to serve. This new place is sure to be the new spot for delicious kosher veggie and dairy!

I am usually very skeptical about trying new places but was blown away by Veggie Bistro. I enjoyed the food & customer service so much I am debating to make another trip to NJ just to grab a bite there. 5 stars doesn’t do justice how the employee’s went above and beyond to satisfy our table. We were a table of 3 and everyone walked out as happy as I did.
