The cancellation policy sucks! Even after I put my cancellation notice in writing, they continue to charge my credit card after the 90 days.
The gym is horrible… old equipment, too crowded.
Walk away… quickly!

I wish I could give negative stars. The cancellation policy for this place is atrocious. The seedy business practices are deplorable. I followed all the instructions sent a letter followed up with a phone call and they still keep trying to take my money. Filing a complaint with the bbb and the attorney general. This company needs to be stopped. Please save yourself and don’t join this gym, LA fitness is so much better

Apparently, you need to write a letter in order to cancel your gym membership because going in person or doing it over the phone is so inconvenient. On top of that a 3month cancellation fee is due (that’s $ 90). Lousy customer service. Will never return here again.

On the downside a lot of the equipment is old and could use replacing (this has been especially true in my spin experience). That being said, their classes are so amazing, their customer service is great and their instructors are so wonderful that I had to give them 4 stars. I started coming here once I got cleared to go to the gym after breaking my fibula, which I told the instructors of all the classes I was taking. In yoga, Sharon the instructor made sure to give me different ways to do poses as I gained my strength back and would check in on me. She also researched exercises I could do at home to help build strength.
I am also a huge fan of Carol’s classes. Carol is wonderful at pushing, motivating and making the class fun. Her spin class not only flies by, but is one of the best work outs I have ever had – she is an AMAZING instructor! During every push you feel like you want to do your best and push yourself harder. Also the community in the class is wonderful. People are always willing to help you set your bike if you are new and having trouble, and are just super warm and welcoming!!!
Jackie’s classes are also awesome, and she is wonderful with offering exercises with different levels of difficulty so that everyone in the class feels like they can fully participate and accomplish their fitness goals.
The desk and maintence staff is all wonderful, friendly, and accomodating. When it was time to renew my membership (I pay month to month), I told them that I was going to be moving in 2 weeks and so they let me do a 2 week membership rather than pay for the full month!
All and all a wonderful neighborhood and community gym!

I love this gym. I have been a member for the last 5 years.
The staff is friendly, and the instructors are well experienced.
Aside from being well-​equipped, Club Fit also has wonderful classes including Zumba, Piloxing, and HIIT, which are three of my favorites.
Cub Fit is also one of the most economical gyms in and near Teaneck, which I appreciate! — E.R.

Bad. I went in for a trial that they are offering on their website. The guy said very rudely «you need to have it printed». I responded that no where did it say the trial needed to be printed. He said «well it does». Since that conversation went no where i asked if I could at least work out for the remaining half hour before they closed. He said I would have to pay 10 dollars. ARE U KIDDING ME? do these people know anything about marketing? They couldnt let me work out for 30 minutes? I said «Thanks for nothing», walked out and will never be returning.

Great for any male athletes who are willing to grow in a better physical body form. This gym has enough for these type of individuals looking to grow, they have enough dumbbells and machines to exercise.
Great for anyone to lose weight, they carry a great variety of classes to join.
You can go wrong in this gym if you seek body growth and it’s open around the clock.

Owner is a crook, I got charged for six months after I canceled for moving. Known this guy for 15 years and he told me he would refund my money. Never even sent me out a check. Gym is a dump, old equipment and is never cleaned. This guy is a complete theif and a scumbag.

I can’t attest to their contract and membership policy since I just paid a day fee. This was a nice independent gym with great old racks, weights, and other equipment. If you like 24 hour fitness don’t go here, this is old school-​the way it should be.

Horrible Horrible. There are certain spin teachers that are wonderful here and have a following so the classes are full. Unfortunately all of the bikes are very old and in complete disrepair. Last year during a spin class a woman who was very experienced fell off of the bike when the seat broke and broke her tail bone. Just last night a pedal broke off of another woman’s bike 10 minutes into class and wouldn’t unclip from her shoe. 20 minutes later during class another man’s bike’s chain broke. They are lucky she didn’t sue. The place is filthy. The sanitizing things have been empty for months. As the owner says, what do you expect for $ 25 per month and unlimited classes?

I joined this gym about a year ago, signing up for a 1 year direct debit contract. I was told at the time I signed up that when the contract was over I should call to confirm that I did not want to renew. I decided I didn’t want to renew and called them three months before my contract was over and was told I needed to come in and cancel. I told them I had moved and could not do this. They then told me that all I had to do was write a letter. I did this. I then noticed the fee was still being applied to my account. I called and was told that I had to pay three months of membership fees in order to cancel. Ridiculous!
In addition to this bad business practice the facility was always dirty, there were never any paper towels in the bathroom, the machines are too close together and the hours were misrepresented. I was once doing cardio upstairs on a machine with a tv (one of few that worked). The show I was watching ended at 10 when the gym closed. About fifteen minutes before the end the desk attendant informed me that it was 10 and I needed to leave right away. I showed her my phone and informed her that it was quarter of. She then pointed to the clock which had been set 10 minutes fast. I told her that unless the clock was set by a satellite it was inaccurate and as a member I pay for a gym that is open until 10 pm.
