Very tasty, courteous counter person. Good prices. Highly recommend.

Decent Take Out… Always Pleasant On The Phone, Delivery Comes Within 20 – 30 Min. Haven’t Been Disappointed As Of Yet!!! I Love That They Always Remember To Send Hot Oil Without Me Having To Ask. Good Service!

This place is consistent. Would give 5 stars, but the fried rice is usually not good. Their meat dishes are very good. Their spare ribs are the best in the area. They don’t drown their entrees in sauce, either, which is great. We are happy to have found this place because the other nearby Chinese restaurants stink, except for one which is overpriced.

This one star is for their delivery service … I originally ordered because of the chicken reviews… I hate when chicken is rubbery… so I was excited to try the broccoli and chicken. Unfortunately they aparently do not deliver because it never came and they never called. Might give the food another try as there aren’t many good spots by me… but I will have to wait long enough to forget this experience. If they somehow got the wrong number they should invest in caller ID or get someone that understands Very unfortunate and this was a Monday afternoon no holiday no rush hour

Been coming here since they opened. It’s different than most Chinese places because the food isn’t overly salty or covered in sauce it actually taste like real meat. They even have a $ 1& $ 2 menu ! Highly recommend better than most places

Apparently there’s a major difference between West Coast Chinese and East Coast. The food was just OKAY. Definitely fresh but nothing to write home about. It’ll suffice since I’m only visiting Jersey and this’ll probably be the only time I eat Chinese food while I’m here. I ordered delivery to my hotel room and it did show up piping hot and very well packaged so kudos to them!

Very good food. The staff is friendly and if you go regularly they remember you. The prices are average for take out. Dinner specials are good. Have not been disappointed yet with the food or the service. It is small inside but there are some tables if you wish to eat there.

Great quality food. You can tell the place has chefs and not just cooks. The chicken in my dish usually sums it up. Tender, meaty and fantastic. Kung Pao spicy amazing. Delivery was within 20 mins. Highly recommend.

We haven’t had Chinese food in awhile because we have yet to find a good place here. After we found this place on Unilocal we decided to give them a try. I am glad we did. When I called the woman was super polite on the phone. The food came in a timely manner, even in the snow. We had egg rolls, steamed pork dumplings, sesame noodles, boneless spare ribs, and chicken and broccoli. All for $ 24! Food tasted super fresh and came in large portions too. I will be ordering from here in the future.

Amazing. I love Chinese food but just moved to Little Ferry and places near me just don’t cut it. I came to Unilocal to find somewhere near me with good reviews, I figured why not try here. The General Tao’s chicken was all white meat, and tasted fresh, the rice was amazing and they listened to exactly how I wanted it. This will deff become a regular place for me.

We’ve lived in the area for 10 years and it’s been our mission to find good Chinese food. We keep trying new places because we can’t stand the taste of most Chinese frozen processed«white meat» chicken. Most Chinese restaurants now a days have a slimy, grey and rubbery type of chicken — it simply skeeves me out. So I’m always hesitant to try new restaurants. This to me is the true taste test. I read Unilocal reviews on Kitchen and so we thought to give a try. We are so glad that we did! The Chicken in the Chicken & Broccoli was awesome– it was fresh chicken!!! Yes!.(Cue the angels singing). So happy that I can now order Chinese food without being skeeved out. The fried rice was delicious– not greasy or yellow, with what seemed like chunks of fresh carrots! The Mongolian beef was tasty. The orange chicken was a bit too breaded and slightly hard to bite(over fried) however the sauce and taste was great! Had to call them to thank them for their fresh tasting food! I’ll make sure to spread the good news!

I gave it 5 stars but keep in mind, it’s 5 stars among Chinese take out. Everything here is great, my favorites are house special fried rice(with extra egg) and it’s very traditional none of the yellow rice crap everyone is doing. I also always order the spare ribs and they are top notch. Lo mein, General Tao’s chicken, and all of your favorite dishes prepared fresh and flavorful. This is the epitome of the Chinese take out restaurant.

I have been desperate to find a Chinese take out place in the area. Szechuan Empire in Dumont is by far the best I’ve had, but unfortunately close to my parents and not me. I’m not exactly sure if this is THE place but it definitely deserves another try. First off, everyone was right — the woman who answers the phone is the nicest person I’ve ordered delivery from. She was totally accommodating and just all together sweet. That alone makes me want to order from there again. The shrimp Lo mein was okay, but I admittedly have high standards. It doesn’t compare to Szechuan Empire in regards to flavor and how al dente I prefer the noodles to be. The chicken mooshu was the cleanest and freshest I’ve ever had so that got 2 thumbs up for me. We wanted a tofu dish, but the online menu didn’t have many options. We ordered the chefs special and while there were meaty pieces the flavor wasn’t what we expected. We now have a copy of their updated menu with more tofu options. $ 25 got us free fried rice which was a great bonus since we were going to order it anyways. Unfortunately they no longer had scallion pancakes that day(I also didn’t see it on their new menu). Their homemade mustard is delicious and they’re willing to switch out white rice for brown without an extra charge. Looking forward to trying other dishes here!

Anyone who has read a review I have posted knows this stuff already: we are a Chef family and we are not above ordering Take-Out as often as possible. Chinese take-out is our fave, and for the most part, you can’t really go wrong in the Hackensack/Teaneck area for it. But. When you trip upon that jewel, that diamond, amongst all of the dross… when it has been hiding in plain sight. and it ratchets your idea of take-out up a few notches, well, my friend, you almost don’t write about it. Write I must. Chinatown Kitchen on DeGraw Avenue in Teaneck is simply the best Chinese Food Take-Out we have had in the area. In years. And years. Let’s go thru the reasons. First of all, the lady in charge is incredibly nice, and I have never seen her NOT smile. Always good-natured, always kind, she seems to love what she does and take pleasure in working the counter. And the place is surgically clean. You can choose to eat there; they have a few table. We choose to take home. Another binge-watching episode of «House» awaits on Netflix. Now. The food… they have a dollar Egg Roll that will make you jones for another a day later. Just well put together, what can I say? Dumplings, spare ribs, some magical sesame wonton, shrimp toasts, chicken wings… all so very good. You can’t pick a bad appie. We judge Chinese Take-out on their Lo Mein, their Mu Shu, and if we are very lucky, there is a Shrimp dish that coats them in a white sauce, usually citrus, coconut or gran marnier-flavoured. Here, they have Shrimp in Coconut Sauce. Oh my my. Greatness right there. Never had something like that? Order the damned dish already. Any of their beef dishes are tender and not smothered in veggies, already huge for me. Of note, their Crispy Beef, Mongolian Beef, Sesame Beef. Chicken you can find anywhere and Kitchen’s no different with their offerings — but it’s just done, well, BETTER. Anything pork is always better than anything not pork. When two of us order dinner, we kind of go nuts and have enough for the next evening, so it’s not uncommon to ring up a $ 50 tab. That’s a lot of food, dear reader. The free stuff they throw in when you spend certain amounts is really generous and they don’t have to do that, but they do. And that $ 50 tab? We include an order of Steamed Pork Dumplings, which come in the cutest little divider to-go container, for our son. And there’s enough for tonight… did I mention we were there last night? Yeah… we were. Go and say thank you to the nice lady up front when she hands you that bag of goodness.
