Scotz BBQ has some really good food, and the owner is so nice. The BBQ is great, of course, but the burgers and hot dogs are really good, too. Their burgers come in ¼ pound, ½ pound, 1 pound, and 1 ½ pound, but I’ve never tried the huge ones! French fries are really tasty, too. It’s a good BBQ joint that everyone should try.

This little restaurant strikes you as a place that has seen better times, and seen them at a younger age — a much younger age, and much better times. The parking lot is small, a little contorted getting in and out of, if there are many cars there — there weren’t. Lunch & Dinner only here, opens at 10AM. The front counter has a number of photos, cute posters, and witty sayings — all a little dim and worn, but homey. The Chili Dog is kind of ordinary, meaty chili, but rather bland, goes for($ 1.78). I probably would not order this dog again. The Cheeseburger($ 3.99) is big, but like the hot dog, lacks in real zip or freshness in taste. The Chopped BBQ Sandwich(not sure of the price) was on a large bun, but there was not a great deal of meat or slaw — and what meat there was lacked flavor and was dry — so dry it would not stay in the bun. Again, this is not something I would re-order. Folks here are nice, a little reserved with strangers, and the food out of the kitchen is a tad on the slow side, prices are reasonable, but the overall quality and freshness is just not there — too bad, I really wanted to like this place, and the food. .
