History

Established in 1999.

Adventures in Homebrewing (AIH) opened its doors in Dearborn, Michigan in 1999. We quickly out grew our first 900 square foot shop and moved a few doors down to a larger 1500 square foot location. AIH Would not stop there. We started to expand out knowledge in home beer and winemaking to a full line of home draft equipment. Obviously this new stock warranted a third move to our current Van Born Rd location. This location quickly became one of the best supplied shops in the great beer state of Michigan. Around this time we started to create an online buzz and before long we added a second store in Ann Arbor Michigan. If you are in the neighborhood of either store, please stop in and say hello. If not, drop on by the web site or check us out on Facebook– Cheers!

Meet the Business Owner

Jason S.

Business Owner

The basics– Jason Smith started brewing in 1992. With limited funds and space, I started with mostly extract ales. My brewing has gone from extract to all grain and ales to mostly lagers. In the early days I would brew once a week. Nowadays, I am fortunate to get 120 batches a year. Brewing remains one of my favorite hobbies but family and business has taken away much of my brew time. Someday I will step out of the retail rat race and enjoy the basics again… until then, I am here to serve you! Please feel free to ask any questions or forward any concerns to me directly. Cheers!
