UPDATE: Sometimes Murphys Law has an affect on a review. This was one of those occasions. Not a good day all around for myself nor Kevin. Turns out he’s a great guy that meant no harm and was in a scenario that appeared on the outset to be malice. He’s been understanding and most of all fully addressed my concerns.
ALL IN ALL: Kevin is great and so is Athena!

When I moved from Palmdale to Tarzana I was frustrated trying to find a good storage, luckily I ran into this awesome storage managed by Kevin. The storage is always clean and it is safe. I never had a problem with my space. There was always someone in the office from Monday-​Saturday to help with any questions or concerns. They sell boxes and locks if you need some. They are also very accommodating with your storage needs.

VP Self Storage was recommended to me by a friend. I am very happy with the services provided. Kevin, the manager, is very friendly and professional and made the whole process quick and easy. I would highly recommend VP Self Storage to anyone that is looking for good, safe, secure, affordable storage.

A great, secure place to store all your stuff! The staff are friendly and helpful, the office and locker corridors are clean and uncluttered. There is a large selection of different size storage lockers at comptitive prices.

Kevin and his staff have been nothing but helpful and courteous from the very first call/​inquiry I made. We’ve been with them for less than a year but everything’s been a breeze. Storage space is clean and kept, trolleys are available during office hours and lastly, the place feels and looks secure. Highly recommended!

Found this place on Google as they had a deal for first month’s rent. Unfortunately, when we were on our way we did not look at the store hours and we had just missed the 3pm closing time. However, I knocked on the door and Athena, the only staff there, was kind enough to open the door and help us get a storage unit, last minute. She was extremely helpful in telling us which units were left available (ours was the last one, so phew). She also efficiently set us up and we were out the door quickly with an understanding of our contract, how to enter the premises, and how to navigate the building. She was extremely helpful and I am so grateful for her help in setting us up with the storage unit and making sure we had all the necessary tools to move our items into storage.
However, completely separate from the amazing customer service, the structure itself has narrow openings and hallways. We were trying to move a couch and it was hard to get around the corners and it was unfortunate there was only one elevator on each side of the building where the storage units are (our unit was right in the middle so we had lots of distance to cover via walking).

Due to their great Unilocal reviews I chose to try them out. And I can agree with the rest of the good reviews. They are so helpful and the reception lady is supper nice. The storage was clean and good prices.

I found V P Self Storage online while I was living in Australia and trying to get some stuff moved and stored from. Kevin (manager) was not the initial person I set up my account with, but he was the one that would send me friendly reminders, etc. when I was behind. Kevin was very understanding and helpful, knowing that I was half way across the world. My friend in California helped me set up the account, store my stuff, and I kept in contact with V P Storage for over 18 months I was using their service. I finally met Kevin earlier this year when I vacated my unit. I would highly recommend V P Storage to anyone in the Valley that needed a safe, secure, reliable, and clean place to store your items!!! Over the years I’ve kept my belongings in storage several times as I’ve moved around the country. V P Self Storage was absolutely the best storage experience I’ve ever had. Here’s why:
1. The manager, Kevin, was clean-​cut, professional and courteous.
2. Great security on the place. If employees aren’t there, then the place is closed. No after-​hours visits means your stuff is much safer. At first I wasn’t used to this, but it does make sense.
3. Very clean and well maintained. Example: one time I was there, I watched the handy-​man get on a ladder and carefully fix a dent in a roof gutter.
4. Family owned, so you don’t have to go through a corporate chain if there are any problems. Not that we had any, but you get the point.
5. Good pricing. It’s not the cheapest place you can find, but for what you get (service, security, cleanliness, maintenaince), it’s an absolute bargain.

Excellent storage facility! Great service, friendly, clean, safe, and helpful. I’ve been with other storage facilities, and known of them were as flexible, nor good with customers. They bend over backwards to make sure things work to your advantage. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Nice to not have to deal with a national chain… independently owned and well managed, great pricing and flexible.
