St Mary Assyrian Church of the East

Lovely architecture, inspirational sermons, and a welcoming congregation. I certainly wish that the majority of Americans realized that ASSYRIANS ARE CHRISTIANS. They are not Syrians. FACTS: They were the first indigenous people to embrace Christianity and have been historically punished for their faith. Their original language is Aramaic (Jesus’ language, as portrayed in the film «The Passion of The Christ»). They were the victims of genocide driven by the Ottoman Turks and Kurdish tribes during World War I (along with Greeks and Armenians). Astonishingly, their persecution continues into the 21^st century by ISIS. Something the lame-​stream corporate media doesn’t broadcast and Barack Hussein purposely ignores while importing more anti-​American Muslims into our country. The new church looks amazing! Great job Father George and team. It’s great that Assyrian people have beautiful churches to warship and to stay in touch with one another.
