Burhanuddin S.

Manager

Since his days in grade school, Burhan has competed in multiple sports — including gymnastics, track & field, wrestling, swimming, football, soccer and football– and was captain as well as assistant coach of his track and field team in high school. When not coaching and training, Burhan also is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys mountain & road biking, rock climbing, boating and backpacking.

I came here under the assumption of attending a“job interview”. 2 hours later, i found out that they are running nothing short of a pyramid scheme. They seem very nice but they were very adamant for me to become a «member» of this Herbalife scheme. Please do your research guys! Do not fall into this trap! Don’t fall for their videos and sales pitch and business proposition. Herbalife products are not sold in regular stores for a reason! No wonder they put «shape up LA» as their name and advertise it as a «fitness place»… to mask the fact that they are in fact affiliated with a huge company that is under a lot of scrutiny. They were very vague as to what type of company they are and what the job was going to be when I asked before I came. I should’ve known. Total waste of my time. Do your research please! Do not fall under this scheme. I never say anything negative online but in this case, I really needed to because they are taking advantage of people in desperate times with false promises of success. This needs to stop!

I found Shape Up LA on meetup when I was looking for a workout group to join. I attended their Hip Hop exercise class on Wednesday nights and it was AMAZING! My first time there I was greeted by John and Cody who hooked me up with a tea and a shake. Mr. Lucky is the instructor of the class and his energy is through the roof! The place gets very crowded, but no one minds because we’re all having so much fun! I was also very happy to see that the class brought in a very diverse group! I’ve been going every Wednesday since and it only gets better! I’m truly glad I found this place :)

This place is awesome! You wont find nicer more energetic people anywhere! Cute little fitness/​dance studio with amazing and informative people. The Hip Hop dance/​exercise class was so much fun!
