History

Established in 2000.

Personal Growth Institute has developed and flourished through the passion and dedication of a group of people who had the vision to contribute to the community by creating an organization that educates, offers training to develop outstanding psychotherapists, and give affordable counseling service to the multicultural and multilingual community.

PGI was created in October 2000 by Dr. Foojan Zeine, a group of committed board members and two interns in Tarzana. Many generous people have been a part of PGI’s growth through out the years and their contributions will always be appreciated.

Dr. Zeine is an International Speaker, Author, Psychotherapist, Life and Executive Coach. She has her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. Foojan is the originator and author of the «Awareness Integration» psychotherapeutic model, a multi-​modality approach and intervention that helps minimize Depression and Anxiety while improving Self Esteem and Self Confidence. Foojan is the founder, CEO and the Clinical Director for Personal Growth Institute, a nonprofit organization that offers psychotherapy services to the multi-​cultural and multi-​lingual population (www​.4growth​.org). Dr. Zeine has spoken at UCLA, USC, Aliant University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. She was an invited guest on the Dr. Phil show in 2005. Foojan’s live satellite TV show «Nedayeh Daroon» on PEN TV addresses psychological issues relevant to the general public.
