Ugh, and eww! This place is a no go! These animals look cramped in their tiny cages! They have roaches eeeeeveeerywhere to boot, it is disgusting!!! Not to mention how dry their chameleons and amphibians look or how dirty the turtle water looks ewwww!!! One of the animals I saw looked sick, maybe even dead. Gross.

This place needs an update, the staff are great but there is usually only ONE person running the place. Products are fantastic! But they don’t even use their own products on their animals such as misters, thermomiters, and humidity gauges Which are very importent in keeping our babes healthy and happy. Terrariums are clean but too small for some of their animals, it’s changed a tiny bit since I was there last year with new vision cages but still needs improvment. Feeder prices are good! Variety and quality! Roaches are not their best priced item though. The rewards program is cool! Every 100 you spend you get 5 of! Their website is now becoming more and more professional! Now more accurate than ever before and very close to mirroring their actually in store animals and products. I enjoy this place, but it’s 2016 not 1970. Update so I can raise this rating!

WOW!!! This place is A M A Z I N G!!! I am so thankful to friend Debby who told me about this wonderful place. Fist the prices are unbeatable 50 crickets for less then $ 3 I used to go to Petco and pay DBL or triple for the same amount. Ok and then the boys that are running the store are So kind and knowledgeable about all questions I had. I wish all customer service will be the same every where like the one Painted Reptiles is giving to their customers. Parking is great as well. Service is so fast I used to wait more then 20 minutes at Petco getting my stuff and at this amazing place 5 minutes and I out!!! Thankful for the help I get from this small businesses which gives you better of all then all big corporation stores. The boys take the greatest care of their animals and the way I realized that was when I stopped their on a rainy day and girl in the front told me that one of the guys ran home to make sure his pets are fine. WOW!!!

The Painted Reptile is an absolutely superb store! Very very helpful and great staff, healthy animals, great prices! I recommend this place to everyone. Staff is so so friendly and they actually care about their animals. Everything here is great quality. All animals are kept in great conditions, and they take amazing care of them. They won’t sell an animal unless it is in perfect condition and the very very very rare sick animal is taken to the vet and healed back to health quickly. Unlike other stores, they do not kill or put down sick animals, they treat them with top veterinary care that the owner of the store pays for because he CARES! They really have a passion for their animals here. Looking for an awesome place to get reptiles, reptile food, or reptile decorations or care? GO HERE! You won’t regret it!

This place disgusts me. A lot of the animals are in terrible condition. On more than one occasions, I have found an enclosure with a sick, if not already dead animal. During my visit, I went in for some Grub for my turtle since I was I’m the area and was ignored for ore than 20 minutes so I just left. They seem so under staffed yet it’s a big establishment to have one or two staff manning the floor. What kind of management is that? While browsing around as I waited to be helped, I found a dead rat. Which wouldn’t be a big deal if it was INSIDE of the enclosure. I feel bad for these poor animals, having to live in such poor conditions. They deserve better.

Staff is great. Been in twice the last week and so far so good! A bit hard to find (it’s located in the back, keep driving down, you’ll find it) but go after 5 and the parking lot is empty! Always great getting premo parking. They have everything you need for your terrarium. So far this is where I’ve found the best value on crickets. I got a couple Goliath hornworms to see if my beardie likes them. I’ll be coming back for sure.

What a great place for all your reptile needs! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Their animals are in clean, well-​lit terrariums and are well looked after. They have a large selection of different kinds of feeder insects as well as mice and rats. They also carry a huge selection of equipment related to reptiles, lights, books, substrate, cage accessories and terrariums. Highly recommended!

I rescued an African Sulcata Tortoise a few months ago and my best friend always wanted to steal my Rocky so I came in to get him an African Sulcata Tortoise for his birthday. Evie was very knowledgeable and helped me get the right materials to get him started. I even got myself another tortoise. I will definitely be back and highly recommend shopping here for all reptiles.

Stopped by today for the first time, small location has a mom and pop feel to it. The selection was great, multiple kinds of boas, python. Varieties of reptiles and supplies, the little tortoise were the cutest. Not too mention the workers were highly informative and friendly. Thanks for the awesome service!

A little difficult to find, as you enter from the back. That being said… the friendliest staff I have ever met. I purchased a gecko from them after having a terrible experience at petco. The gecko is healthy, as were the hundreds of other reptiles in the store. I could tell the people that worked here really cared about their animals. Looking forward to my next visit.

This store is awesome, the people that working there even more! I had a lovely experience in this store buying my first Black Mexican King snake. They have everything you need and are very helpful. If my friend hadn’t been here before I would have gotten lost lol but I’m definitely not marking them down for that, they fully deserve 5 stars! Everyone here is so helpful and they all know what they’re talking about. They want the animals to go to good homes and not just make a profit. I got my first snake here, a Kenyan sand boa. I love her! I go here once a week for live pinkies and they always ask how my snake is and even how I’m doing. It’s worth the hard find.

Not a bad little shop. After seeing other reviews complaining about not finding the store so I looked at the website and it explains there how to find it so I didn’t have any issues in that department. Not hard to find… its just tucked away in the back of an industrial complex. Clean shop, seemingly healthy animals, reasonable prices. Theres only ever been 1 guy there each time I’ve been in and hes always been helpful. I would recommend the place and will be back for my feeder needs.

Don’t rate this place down because you can’t FIND IT. WTF? Go to the address, go down the entrance to the business park, go down past lots of office areas, go to the BACK ENTRANCE and there is a small door and a Painted Reptiles sign. And yes you can walk right in and visit the very clean, well stocked place full of healthy looking reptiles & feeders. Turtles in BIG turtle tanks and lots of room, most cages only one animal, unusual morphs and rare animals, the fattest looking day geckos I’ve seen, loads of substrates, hides, pieces of wood, pools, vines, vitamins, dried food, all the essentials that are super hard to find except online (Provent-​a-​mite etc). Good place; friendly staff; well worth a trip, please support small local businesses that are well run.

Great place! The staff was very professional from the moment I walked in, answered all and any of my questions. not like petco or these other stores where u can see that they’re guessing on the answer. Walked away with a new beardie and will be definitely coming back for any of my reptiles needs!!!
