Avi, the contractor, and his team (Joyce was the sweetest!) were very helpful in creating my dream bedroom and bathroom. They gave me a really good price that is budget friendly yet the quality I got was outstanding. Very professional and always on time. They get the job done on a timely manner.
I’m already thinking of getting my kitchen renovated next year and definitely Finesse Remodeling and Consulting will do it!

This is my 3^rd remodel job in our home and Avi and his team were the best!
My experience with contractors has been a mixed bag so at this point, I know what is important to me and Avi met all those factors.
1) The initial consultation was very thorough and when Avi gave us our estimate, he listed every detail of the work to be done, which was terrific. While his estimate wasn’t the lowest, I felt it to be very reasonable. I also appreciated Avi’s constant communication, especially when he saw something that may not be right. We had a tile border, for example, that was 12″ long. Avi mentioned this may seem overbearing in the shower and he was right, so we cut it in half.
2) Avi’s team was great. Everyone showed up on time and Avi was there to introduce them. These guys also cleaned up well when they were done, which I appreciate. And most importantly, the quality of their work was great.
3) They finished early! I’ve never had that happen but the job was complete a week early
I also really appreciate Joyce, the office manager. She’s terrific.

We have a 1950’s ranch/​cabin style home with a bathroom that was in desperate need of repair. In addition to mold and a warped floor the bathroom was terribly dated and unattractive. I mean it was really bad. We received estimates from a few contractors including Finesse. Immediately after our initial meeting, my husband and I felt that Avi and his team were the ones we wanted to work with. There was another company that we felt good about, but in the end we sensed Avi was really out to make his clients satisfied. (He was the one that met with us for the estimate, not a foreman, and his reviews were solid.)
We set a date to begin after the holidays and they started on time with the demo. The work moved in an organized fashion, with workers here every day, on time. There was no waiting in between things or any wasted time. We really appreciated that. His subcontractors are all very nice and pay attention to details. They are easy to talk with and responsive and they kept things fairly tidy. Joyce in his office is very sweet and super helpful as well.
I would say Avi’s strongest trait is his willingness to talk about ideas and his accessibility. I’m not sure I ever had to call him, (well, maybe once?) because he was constantly calling us and emailing, and stopping by! Checking in, answering questions, telling me of the next day’s activities… etc… I was so surprised because many of my friends have complained that contractors often disappear once the project is underway…
In the end we have a gorgeous bathroom, and the work is superb. Was he the cheapest? No. (He also wasn’t the most expensive, either.) We feel that we got top quality workmanship though, so the value is in the finished project. There IS one problem, now the rest of our house pales in comparison to this little bathroom!

I had some further work done in my condo after Avi and Finesse completed the kitchen remodel (which still is the delight of my life every time I turn on the light!). Avi’s workers came back and painted several rooms which also needed repairs. There is no sign at all now of the deep, serious cracks that had existed before! But it’s not only WHAT they did, but also HOW they worked and the TYPE OF TRUSTWORTHY AND EXPERT manner in which they listened to me and completed the tasks. They are respectful workers and when they’re gone, they clean up so thoroughly you never know they were there.
I can only recommend Finesse to you. Avi comes by to reguarly check on his workers; regularly stays in touch with you as the customer; and listens to your thoughts and ideas. I wish I had more rooms that needed work!

I can’t recommend Finesse Remodeling enough! Our family has used them multiple times and the experience has always been great. Recently, we had a flood in our home and Avi was kind enough to walk us through the steps of what we needed to do and even sent us the name of a restoration company to start the process. After, he and his team restored the ceiling, tiles in the bathroom and the electrical portion that was affected. And when they finished, everything looked even better than before the flood! Avi always let us know when the contractors were coming and was available to answer all our questions, most of which was done by email! We will continue to use Avi and Finesse Remodeling for all our renovation or remodeling. Finesse Remodeling takes the stress off what can be a very stressful situation.

IMPECCABLE PROJECT MANAGEMENT, INTEGRITY, AND A GREAT TEAM TO WORK WITH
HOW WE FOUND FINESSE –Avi came highly recommended to me by my neighbor, who has had great experiences with him on different projects at her house.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS — From the first meeting, I felt confident that Avi was the right person to rework the space and walk us through all the decisions. He suggested how we could increase the functionality and flow of the space without knocking out any walls. One of the aspects of remodeling that I find overwhelming is project-​creep — that when I start thinking of doing one thing, it leads to another and another. Avi was fantastic at keeping the scope of the project in focus and within our budget. And now that our project is complete, I can say he did that through the entire job– and the end result is amazing.
DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION — Our actual start date was the day after the tentative date we originally picked. Demolition took four hours, and that included sealing off the construction area from the rest of the house, as well as hauling away the debris and sweeping clean the construction area. That they managed to keep the dust from coming through to the rest of the house was an incredibly pleasant surprise. Also, the construction area was cleaned-​up at the end of every day. Each team that came was prompt, friendly, efficient, and professional.
FINISHING ON TIME & THE TEAM– I began unpacking my kitchen boxes on the VERY DAY Avi had tentatively set as our finish date, and we passed final two days later. That could not have happened without the incredible team at Finesse. Throughout the process either Avi or Sam stopped by or spoke with me by phone daily. I knew what to expect each week and I had great access to Avi, Sam, and Joyce throughout the whole process. It was obvious that they communicate well with each other, because they were seamless in how the project kept on track, and in keeping me in the loop of what to expect, and what if anything they needed from me. Every single person on the team is a pleasure to work with, and the whole time I felt like my project was their top priority. Even when I second-​guessed myself in the process, their response was such that I knew they wanted me to be happy with the end product, and that was very reassuring.
FINAL OUTCOME– We ended up with a kitchen and laundry that look like they came straight out of a design magazine, and I am not gifted in that area at all. I have Avi and Finesse to thank for putting me in contact with the right people, to help me make the best choices. Now that I’ve had the pleasure of actually working in the space for a couple of weeks, I can say the space isn’t just beautiful, it is also functionally fantastic. My biggest concerns at the outset were would we finish on time, stay within budget, and would I be happy with the end result. The answer is a resounding, «YES!» I would recommend Avi and the Finesse team without reservation. They far exceeded my hopes and expectations for our kitchen/​laundry remodel.

I found Finesse Remodeling by their street sign displayed in my neighbor’s front yard. I decided to give them a call for another quote. I’ve been wanting to remodel my kitchen for a while now and already got 2 other estimates but still chooese not use the right Remodeling company. After meeting with Avi, the owner of Finesse I realized that he will be the contractor to remodel my kitchen. When Avi came out to our first meeting, we discussed the ideas and design. Few days later, he came by and showed us the 3D visualization of my new kitchen. I was shocked by the quality of 3D rendering pictures and could not wait to start my new kitchen project. Avi is honest and straight to the point. Communication and quality throughout was 5 stars from start to finish. I will definitely use this company again.

After two years of searching for a contractor for my kitchen, bathroom and laundry room remodel, I feel so lucky to have found Finesse Remodeling. When I had my first meeting with Avi, I knew that he was the right person for the job and I was right. I had many questions and concerns and requested quite a few meetings before starting the remodel. There must have been five meetings lasting about an hour each, not to mention the phone calls. Avi was a gentleman throughout the whole process. He answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns with patience. Joyce helped with any concerns as well and helped with the schedules. Once the contract was signed, I could not believe how smoothly my remodel went. Everything flowed like a symphony. Things were done in order and on time. Avi’s team is remarkable. They are consummate professionals. They showed up on time every day, stayed late to finish the job (if necessary), the job site was left tidy and clean on a daily basis and last, but not least, our kitchen was done in the timeline that Avi had given us. We did not run a day over!
Avi would visit the job site almost daily. On days when Avi couldn’t make it, Sam would stop by and make sure that everything was running smoothly. Avi, even went beyond what was in our contract and helped with other necessary touch-​ups without asking for reimbursement. I can honestly say that I did not have one complaint throughout the whole process.
I have recommended Avi to my friends and family. Personally I would never work with anyone else. I am elated that I now have the kitchen of my dreams thanks to the amazing team at Finesse Remodeling. All that remains to be done now is a call to the location scouts on my list because I can say with confidence that this is a kitchen for the movies.

The team at Finesse Remodeling is phenomenal. We have worked with a number of contractors over the years and Finesse is one of the best. Avi, Joseph, Joyce (Project Coordinator, she is awesome!) and the rest of the crew is great. Whenever there was a problem they would take care of it, no questions asked, no unfair additional charges. They took responsibility for their project which resulted in a fantastic finish.
The project consisted of a completely remodeling a duplex: two units, two bedrooms and one bath each. This included new kitchens, new bathrooms, moving walls, new electrical, plumbing, new washer/​dryer installation, painting inside and out, refinishing the floor, replacing some windows and doors, new water heater, and new air conditioning.
I met with three other contractors (also from Angie’s List, and all with an ‘A’ rating) before deciding on Finesse Remodeling. Avi seemed genuine and sincere and he gave us a fair price and excellent work. Go with Finesse Remodeling, you won’t regret working with them!

Finesse Remodeling recently did a fairly extensive remodel for us and it turned out great. It’s a small thirty-​two year old condo of about 700 square feet in Playa Del Rey. We’ve always found these smaller jobs to be more complicated due to having less space to work with. The job included new flooring (tile and wood) and paint throughout, new kitchen and bath countertops, new sinks and plumbing fixtures, bathroom tile, new lighting, new electrical outlets and switches and a remodeled fireplace. Everyone who has seen the unit has remarked on how great it turned out. This is actually the second remodel Finesse has completed for us. The first one turned out so well, that we asked Avi to help us with this project. Our building has a pretty strict HOA with lots of rules regarding construction. I was really worried about potential complaints from the neighbors. I needn’t have worried though. The Finesse crews keep a very clean worksite and they were great with the neighbors. They covered all of the common area hallway carpets and were always very careful. Not one complaint! Avi and his folks were working on a tight timeframe and they really worked hard to deliver. Our only delays were due to issues with a cranky inspector. Avi is always very philosophical about these problems and takes them in stride. One really ugly problem we had to contend with was an exposed water line to the refrigerator that was attached to the wall in the kitchen. The Finesse crew was able to reroute the line and now things look great. Avi is thorough and good to work with. I’ve found him to be completely honest and diligent about follow through. Joyce the office manager is on top of the schedule and was very good about getting answers to my questions. For anyone looking for a conscientious contractor who sweats the details, you should definitely give Finesse a call.

We are super pleased with the remodel of our house! Everything looks amazing and the work was done with the most care. We hired Avi to remodel our kitchen, den, master bath, and guest bath. It was a pretty big project and Avi delivered! We were on a very condensed timeline (since I was about 7 month pregnant when we started). Avi handled everything for us including planning, design, permits, and construction/​build. He prepared a thorough timeline and budget for review and executed accordingly. Avi did a great job of staying on top of the workers and finishing the project according to our timeline. He is not the cheapest, but his prices are very fair for the work that is performed. I would certainly recommend him to anyone doing a remodel. Everyone that comes to our house absolutely loves it! The flow is much better, more open and vibrant, and best of all everything is new!

I have use Finesse Remodeling on three separate occasions and am putting down my first experience with Finesse. I chose to have a small master bathroom completely renovated due to its age and condition. Avi of Finesse Remodeling and Consulting followed up with me immediately upon receiving my request for an estimate. He then followed up with a personal home visit to give me a bid on the work. Once I decided to work with him, he came back with a very professional binder with all the appropriate paperwork — I didn’t have to ask to see a license, or a bond — everything was provided in his paperwork, in advance of starting the work. Any questions I might have had were quickly answered — if I sent him an email, I usually got a response within an hour or two. If I called him, he called back within a few hours.
The job involved demolition of the bathroom, closing off an existing door into the bathroom from the hallway, refinishing the new wall area on each side, rough plumbing, rerouting main drain for the shower, replacing rough plumbing for sink in vanity, building a custom shower with seat, tile for shower and floor, granite for vanity, a new cabinet vanity, and seamless shower glass enclosure and door. In addition, they upgraded the electrical outlets to meet code, installed new lighting fixture, and installed a new three/​cabinet mirrored medicine chest.
Avi also noted the absence of smoke detectors in all the bedrooms and missing carbon monoxide monitors and told me that the building inspector would be looking for those upon final inspection. He had his men buy the needed units and install them.
The job involved messy demolition, and his crew of two were the best workers — extremely courteous, extremely neat, tidy — they covered up everything, cleaned up everything, each and every day. Once the rough construction was near completion, Avi arranged for me to go with him to the tile store to pick out tile… it was a fun day! So many selections, and Avi’s sense of style and design was really an asset — when you have so many choices available, you need a voice of reason and practicality, and Avi was there for that. He also steered me to a stone yard to pick out a piece of granite for the vanity countertop. His connections there were also an asset in helping me get exactly what I wanted. It is quite a «coup» to have the salespeople at a supplier’s store comment on what a delight it is to work with my contractor! The man has never made an enemy!
I also had the opportunity to go to his fabricator, at his suggestion, to tell the fabricator exactly where to cut the granite to take advantage of the pattern. These guys were also terrific — they came out and installed the granite, also being extremely clean and neat. You’d never know they had been there the area was so clean!
The work also involved closing off a doorway and making a solid wall, thus affecting a small hallway — they refinished all of the walls, painted all the walls and woodwork — painted the bathroom in the colors I wanted — in essence, they made my dream come true.
I subsequently used him to remodel the master bedroom in 2013, and then he and his crew completely redid the exterior of my home, texture coating, painting, etc. in the summer of 2014.

I am so happy i found this company!!! I had my masters bathroom, downstairs bathroom and my entire kitchen done by avi and his crew, they made the whole experience fun and definitely worth it… Everything was done perfectly and on schedule because avi was on top of it. He made sure that all the materials needed arrived on time.
I am so much into details and he surely listened to all of it because i got what i wanted and more!!! My house looks amazing, functioning very well to my specifications :)

First off, a little primer on Contractors in general is in order. Your Contractor, in almost all cases, will not be swinging the hammer or even lifting one. He is the project Coordinator. He lines up and schedules the subs and, hopefully, stays on top of them to ensure that the project gets completed sometime within the window of time and money promised. That said, you will go over time, you will go over budget and you will end up working as a sub Foreman for your Contractor as he will call or text you to see if a certain sub actually bothered to show up on the day promised. All that being true, Avi and Finesse Remodeling did a fantastic job and delivered a beautiful kitchen once all the dust settled. There will be times when you hate the process intently and will ask yourself why in God’s name did you even consider doing this and you will project this onto your Contractor. That is part of the reason you are paying him. What is undeniable about FInesse is the quality of their subs. The work was impeccable, be it painting, tile work or plumbing. Another important point to be aware of with a remodel: you will have to figure out what you want before starting the project down to the nitty gritty details. The clearer the idea and vision you have, the better the end result. There are things you have to take care of and order for yourself. The cabinet hardware for instance. If you find some great hardware online, order it before you begin the job and make sure it arrives before you begin the job. Same thing with tile or anything else that is «special» as you do not want to do anything to slow down the process. Subs not being able to show up because material you ordered failed to arrive is something you want to avoid at all costs because you should never be the bottleneck on your own remodel and you lose the ability to blame the Contractor for a slowdown if they can’t install because you failed to anticipate a lead time. Finesse Remodeling delivered a beautiful kitchen with the least amount of grief possible. We will use them again as soon as we have refilled the coffers to the level that we can afford the bathroom.

We recently hired Avi and his team to renovate our condo. We had interviewed a few contractors and chose Avi because of his transparency from the beginning. Out of all the contractors we interviewed, he was the only one that gave us a straight answer about the potential challenges around some of the work we wanted done. All the others were eager to please and told us what we wanted to hear, not the truth (which was that some of the work we wanted done was not possible).
Working with Avi was easy and comfortable. We never felt like he was trying to take advantage of us. After hearing horror stories about people hating their contractors, it felt great to have found someone who was kind and truly cared about the quality of his work. Avi was always available to us personally, and came to check on the property regularly. Working with him, I felt valued as a customer.
Our work included installing bamboo floors (which we outsourced to another company recommended by Avi), tearing down a wall, putting up another wall, installing laundry, redoing and expanding the kitchen, and redoing a bathroom. The job did take longer than we expected, but that’s the norm for renovation projects. And of course, no remodeling goes 100% as planned– small errors and miscommunications happen– but Avi went out of his way to make sure everything was completed to our satisfaction.
Avi is not the cheapest guy in town, but you’re paying for his care, attention, and quality of work. I would happily work with him again and would recommend him wholeheartedly.

I’m giving Avi 5 stars for integrity. He looked at the renovation I was getting ready to do in my new home, saw that I’d be spending a lot of money for little gain and urged me not to do the job in the way I had planned. He suggested a much cheaper solution that effectively lost him the job because I no longer needed a big remodel. So this review isn’t for the work they did, but instead an appreciation to Finesse for having a great deal of integrity.

My wife and I had previously contracted Finesse Remodeling to remodel our kitchen. We are extremely pleased with the results. We love our kitchen from the New Espresso Shaker style cabinets with a free standing island, new bar areas and Quartz countertops. Avi is very friendly and passionate about his work. He updated us on the daily/​weekly schedules. I also like that he personally went with us to the tile store to pick up tiles, Pacific Sales to pick up sink, faucet, garbage disposal and appliances. The crew that worked in our project was very polite and always left the place spotless at the end of the day and we really appreciated that aspect about them. It shows they care about their clients and are well trained. I have already referred this company to several colleagues and have been pleased to do so.

I hired Finesse Remodeling after seeing so many wonderful reviews on Unilocal and Angie’s list. I had many contractors to choose from but once I met Avi, I knew he had the job. From day 1, Avi was punctual, professional, and eager to provide a kitchen of our dreams. He kept us updated throughout the whole project and is very good on returning our phone calls whenever we have questions. Superb service and quality!
I had Finesse Remodeling renovate our townhouse from top to bottom which included kitchen, two bathrooms, paint and hardwood floors on two levels, including stairs. Their work was superb: clean, high quality, with tons of professional advise. Avi, the owner of the company, stayed on top of the project every day and had perfect solutions for the few hick ups we had along the way. He is honest, knowledgable and reliable. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Bathroom of a five star hotel–
Finesse Remodeling changed our bathroom from what looked like a 1980’s styled, old couples bathroom, to a modern-​day expensive hotel bathroom. The colors were way wrong, the cabinets were chewed up by our English bulldog and the placement of everything including the bathtub was totally off. Avi at Finesse suggested we move things around to make room for ourselves and it couldn’t have been a better suggestion. My wife and I are more than happy with what they’ve done and will be using them on upcoming home improvements. They are very easy to work with and don’t frown upon suggestions from clients. I love going into the bathroom now as it is the best room in the house. It is the benchmark for how the rest of our home should be.
