Doubletree Day Spa

This is the worst «spa» experience I have ever had.
The spa is located in the pool area. It’s really three little rooms, and there is no soundproofing so everything happening in the pool area can be heard in the treatment rooms.
I called on Friday afternoon to try to book services. Nobody picked up so I left a message. I received a call back finally on Saturday night, and booked for Sunday morning since I was leaving Sunday afternoon.
And it got worse from there.
There was only one person to provide all the services. I booked a package, a combination massage and facial, that was advertised at $ 85 and I was told that was the price when I booked. I was informed that they do not yet have a credit card machine, so cash or check only.
The woman who did the massage and facial was quite frankly terrible. Her nails were very long and sharp, and she kept scratching me while doing the massage and facial. I had long scratch marks all over my body when I was done, which is completely unacceptable. The facial was done with drugstore products, and they burned my skin. The stereo stopped working, which was the only barrier between the kids splashing in the pool and my room. She stopped my massage halfway through to try to fix it, and only succeeded in making it produce heinous, screechy static. After about 5 minutes she gave up and finished my massage.
When I went to pay, I was told that the package was actually $ 100. I paid, and left as quickly as possible.
Go to one of the other day spas in the area if you’re staying at this hotel. Don’t waste your time or money here.
