History

Established in 2002.

I was a classically trained chef with an extensive knowledge and passion for wine. I had worked in the food business since 1972. I still loved food but hated the hours involved. The next obvious step for me was to combine my love of food and wine and pursue a career that played off one another. Hence The Grape D’vine. Making food? I have the wine. Need food suggestions? I have recipes. Perfect Symbiosis.

I’m not sure when they expanded their menu, because it’s been a year since I’ve been there. But I was there last night and the food was incredible. It was good before, but they’ve added some entrees and other foods. Really great, if you haven’t been here in a while try it again. I’d go back tomorrow.

What’s not to like, adequate parking, friendly service, good food, extensive beer and wine list and nice décor. Eat outside, reserve a table or eat at the bar. The friendly service and clientele is what makes this place special. Going back tuesday to have the cast iron fish special!

Right off, I have to tell you I’ve known Joe since we were 5. Having said that, I will be equally honest and tell you his wine shop is the only place I shop for wines– and it’s not exactly down the street for me. I don’t know much (anything!!) about wine– and he never, ever steers me wrong. I have always left with something I totally enjoy, and would never have found on my own.

This is the best wine shop in the county. I’ve been here twice now and have bought an excellent bottle of Sake and an Italian Red Wine. The staff is very helpful and just a pleasure to interact with. The owner, Joe, is a great guy and is very personable. The selection of wines is amazing. The store has something for every person and taste. The décor is really cool, everything is out on wooden racks or on the walls and there are these little cards with funny things written on them describing the wine or why you should buy the wine or what you should have it with. What a great little extra to have when you are perusing the shop. Even the other patrons are friendly and want to interact with you. The location is great and there is plenty of parking (I can walk there). Get there!!! Support your local shops!

The only wine shop you will ever need. Joe knows his wines and on top of that he stocks some killer wine at an amazing price point. I live in Sparkill so Joe is just around the corner from me but I won’t shop elsewhere anymore. Joe is a honest and sincere individual and just a fun guy to be around and he knows his wines.
Do yourself a favor and stop on in you won’t want to shop anywhere else again…
Oh, by the way, keep an eye on his restaurant opening soon next door
