History

Established in 1997.

Teresa Steinfatt is the franchise owner of the Greater Richmond and Tappahanock offices of Home Instead Senior Care. While seeing her own family members struggle with how to care for their parents and friends, the Steinfatt’s recognized a need that had to be addressed. Through extensive research and exploring all options they discovered Home Instead Senior Care. They were extremely impressed with the professionalism and sincerity exhibited by the Home Instead Senior Care corporate staff in Omaha, Nebraska. Teresa along with her husband, Torsten, opened Home Instead Senior Care locally on September 1, 1997 as its only employees. They began as one of the original franchises and have developed an organization that truly cares about people and provides the utmost customer satisfaction. Tragically, cancer took Torsten far before his time, which gave Teresa an even deeper understanding of the feelings and challenges that so many clients they serve are going through.
