The aim of Svastha Yoga Institute is to share the benefits to body and mind of the ancient science of Yoga. The word Svastha in Sanskrit literally means «to stay as your self» and refers to the state of optimal health and balance in body and mind.
Svastha Yoga is based on the teachings of the legendary yogi Sri T. Krishnamacharya as passed on by his long time students A.G. and Indra Mohan, founders of Svastha Yoga and Ayurveda in Chennai, India.
Rather than a ‘standardized’ style of yoga, Svastha Yoga offers an integrated approach, whereas each individual’s unique requirements and goals are honored.
Based in Taos, New Mexico, Svastha Yoga Institute offers a 200-hour yoga teacher certification, continuing education, group classes and private instruction.
