History
Established in 1982.
La Posada de Taos first opened in 1982 as the first B&B in Taos. It has been continuously operating since with its primary focus on incredible gourmet food and luxurious bedding. The house was built by one of the founders of the Taos Society of Artists who gave it to his daughter, Margo Phillips Beutler. Margo was Doc Martin’s niece by marriage and lived in the house for 50 years. La Posada recently purchased and renovated another adjacent historic property to offer to its guests for longer-term stays.
