Mogul Medical Urgent Care has served the medical needs of skiers and visitors to Taos Ski Valley for twenty three years. Patients are seen on a walk in basis.

In addition to ski injuries and altitude sickness, we treat the full range of medical conditions typically seen in Family Practice. We have X Rays, pharmaceuticals and oxygen available on site.

Our staff also offers Pain Management, a Travel Medicine Clinic (including Yellow Fever Vaccine), as well as BOTOX and Dermal Fillers (by appointment).

Insurance: We will file with all domestic insurance carriers. We have contracts with Blue Cross, Medicare, and New Mexico Medicaid.

We are currently partnering in the management of the facility with Holy Cross Hospital in Taos.

History

Established in 1988.

Dr. Tim Quigley Peterson started the business when he was working as an Emergency Room physician at Holy Cross Hospital in Taos, New Mexico, after realizing how many guests staying twenty miles away at Taos Ski Valley had medical needs and no resources other than a First Aid station.

The business grew from one room in the Thunderbird Lodge, shared with a massage therapist, to an 1,800 sq. foot facility with ten beds and the ability to stabilize and treat major trauma, as well as altitude illness, common medical problems treated in any normal office, and a wide range of orthopedic problems.
