On Slope Location at Kachina Chairlift in front of the Phoenix Grill. Daily 10:00 — 3:30 during ski season.

Black Diamond Espresso is the local’s choice and your place in Taos Ski Valley to enjoy exceptional espresso, coffee, hot chocolate and mochas. Visit the hot chocolate experts to experience a fiesta of hot chocolate choices including dark, white and Mexican chocolates. The two locations on the mountain provide a daily selection of fresh baked treats and granola. Come by and check out the selection of chocolate bars, sport bars, nuts, chips and snacks.

History

Established in 1994.

Black Diamond Espresso opened the original location in 1994 in the Resort Center bringing the tradition of Italian style espresso to the slopes of Taos Ski Valley. The following ski season the second ski up location opened at the Kachina Chairlift in front of the Phoenix Grill. Black Diamond Espresso has become the go to place for the discerning espresso drinker.

Awesome drinks and 2 locations (base and lift 4). I like the Americano in the am and the London fog in the afternoon. They have energy bars and some chocolates but no real food options. Get a punch card if you’ll be back all season!

One of the extra perks of going to Taos Ski Valley is that you can get a great cup of coffee or chocolate from Black Diamond Expresso either on the slopes or on your way home. The hot mocha with a orange zest is to die for. It is a great pickup after the mountain has kicked your butt.

If you’re looking for amazing coffee and treats, look no further. I was up with my family last season at the Taos Ski Valley and stumbled across Black Diamond Espresso. I had the most amazing Americano and granola. My wife had an organic quiche that was out of this world. My kids really digged the hot chocolate choices. You can even ski up at their upper hut on the mountain. Tell them the «cart whisperer» sent you. Yum!
