I have been in private practice since 1995 and originally with the firm Rahall & Schaffer, P.A. In 2005 we separated that practice into individual practices.

Business Owner

I manage the law practice, meeting filing deadlines, intake of new clients, drafting and preparing pleadings and motions. In the litigation aspects of my practice my duties include meeting clients and assessing their cases, drafting their pleadings and motions. I manage their discovery and the deadlines associated with those documents. I participate in mediation and trials. I prepare property distribution schedules. I also interact with plan administrators, accountants and actuaries for pension and 401(k) valuations and distributions, both taxable and non-​taxable.

I practice appellate work, in addition to the trial-​level litigation, which involves meeting those deadlines, drafting briefs and motions and presenting oral argument to the appellate courts.
