Post SoHo Square

Post SoHo Square is hands down one of the best apartment communities in Tampa. All the best restaurants, shops, and bars are in walking distance along with two grocery stores. The property is new construction, the apartment finishes and interiors are awesome and the community spaces are very nice as well. Everything is very well maintained and super clean. I spent countless days by the pool which is one of the nicest in the area.
The management, maintenance, and service staff are friendly and extremely helpful and accommodating. They will go out of their way to do what they can to help you out. If you’re looking for an awesome place in South Tampa and the rent is in your budget don’t hesitate to make this your next place.

Great experience with my time at POST. Every issue was responded to by the staff promptly. I never had a noise issue and would recommend these units to anyone looking to rent in the SoHo area. When I had to move out due to family circumstances, the staff was diligent in ensuring a quick turnaround on my unit as well. Wish I was still living there.

I would not recommend this apartment complex at ALL! While it is beautiful on the surface, it is made of cheap construction. You can hear everything thru the thin walls. The gate kept us up most nights due to its clanging. And on top of it, while many of the people that rent there are professionals, there are many that aren’t. We had a neighbor that lived above us that would party with loud music until 3am, and then some mornings would blare his radio or TV at 6am. Because it is such cheap construction, it was so disruptive. On top of that, there are many residents that let their dogs pee and pop in the hallway. They don’t clean it up, and the management company doesn’t fine its residence for that. So there is no incentive for residence to stop this disgusting behavior. Sometimes it would take days for the management company to have it cleaned up. Also, this is definitely not a place for people to live if you work in a professional environment. Many of the residents are in college or right out of college and party all night, have tons of guest to hang at the pool, etc. Which again, wouldn’t have really bothered us if the walls were insulated or made of better construction. We were so miserable we decided to break our lease early. They found a replacement to move in, and then asked us to leave by a certain date. Which we happily did. They wanted 3 days to repaint the apartment, which makes perfect sense, to get it ready for the new tenant. Then they charged us rent a month after the fact for those 3 days. Their rationale was that they did us a favor by letting us break the lease and that we were liable for the 3 days that they needed to repaint the apartment. Honestly, what a terrible company. They didn’t tell us this even on the last day when we were moving out. We asked what else we needed to do, if we owed anything, etc. And then a month after the fact they hit us with a bill of about $ 320. What a joke. I would never recommend POST to anyone.

I’ve lived at Post Soho Square ever since they first opened last year. I really do love living here mostly because of the people that work and live here too. I have a six month old and I have people all the time ask me if I ever need anything to let them know. So nice and rare! I’m always by the pool and clubhouse which they keep up very well and it’s always so quiet except for Saturdays. Always get my free coffee, water, and candy everyday. I do wish more residents would pick up after there pets more but it’s gotten so much better since we first moved here. It’s also nice walking next door to Winn Dixie for groceries, down stairs to grab a bite to eat, and going to Hyde Park Village for shopping. Oh and of course Bayshore! There’s really not many places you can live that offer this many amenities. We have a two bedroom apartment and it has to be the nicest place we have ever lived for a rental!

I have to agree with James K. If you are a 20 – 40 yr old without kids and enjoy the fresh smell of trash in the hallways then Post SoHo is for you. If you are a nurse who works nights but love loud obnoxious noises from the pool area all during the day, then Post SoHo is for you. If you are an outdoor person and love mosquitoes flying about your apartment, then Post SoHo is for you. Otherwise I would look at other properties than Post. Make sure you read the reviews of Post Hyde Park. Same issues for years.

Post SoHo Square is deceiving. It looks nice and is located in a great area. However, I would have to disagree with James K. The problems that occur at Post SoHo is not about older tenants being intolerant to the younger crowd. It is due to the immaturity of some tenants who break the rules. For example, I have seen people lend out or make copies of their security fobs for their friends, tell them to park anywhere in the garage even though it states clearly in the garage «permit parking only». In the garage, cars come speeding through without a care as to who else is driving in there, almost causing accidents. I have seen loud, drunken pool parties with these younger adults letting anyone into the complex, even if they don’t know them, as well as leave the security gates propped up so anyone can enter the facility. I have found security gates tampered with, screws removed, so they don’t close securely. I have witnessed some tenants not clean up after their pets in the common areas. I was inconvenienced for several hours in the middle of the night when the fire alarm went off due to some idiot who purposefully broke a pipe and caused flood damage in one of the stairwells. I have seen people break the garage gates because they were too impatient to wait for it to open.
An apartment complex should NOT discriminate based on age and should not make anyone feel unwelcomed because of age. I am in my 40’s and have lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, Honolulu, even London in the UK. I enjoy a lively atmosphere where there’s plenty to see and do within walking distance. I have lived in many different apartments/​condos and have never come across such behavior at these other complexes. In my humble opinion, no matter how many times complaints to the management have been made, it appears that Post SoHo does not adequately enforce the rules nor reprimand those who break them, as I see the same problems over and over again. This is unfortunate as it only reinforce the rude, immature, destructive behavior of those few troublesome tenants.
