PK’s Play Zone and Grille

Birthday party, family get together, or just pure fun for night out. This is family oriented play zone. Kid friendly and «Adult Safe». Safe on the money :)
A lot of games and good for the young one. Not sure this is for the teen. Probably 12 and under is good. Food is serve here for the party. Party setup is available. They do have bowling and pool table to keep the adult interesting if you wait for your young one.
Rock climbing, miniature golf, giant connect 4 and all can be found in one place. Food stand is available. There is bumper car in this area. Certainly want to try. I wonder it is good for adult too. But check it out.

Much to my amazement this is not a bad place.
We took my son and a few of his friends here for his birthday and they had a blast.
We paid $ 20 a kid and they were able to do all of the fun zones and tokens for the arcade games. The zones are ok and manned by their staff. The place is very large and there is an area for dining and a bar area.
We didn’t try the food, I think I am skeptical until I see more reliable ratings on their food.
I give them 3 stars because, although the space is nice, they could put a few more things in there for smaller kids. I think they could benefit from a Toddler Zone or Baby Zone so when parents come with their older kids, they can have something to do with their smaller children as well. Also, I am not sure how often their carpets at shampooed, but it had a st inch in there that I know was from the carpet.

I went to this place on a Friday night and it was not at all packed. There was probably 20 people, 25 max there. Took us forever to get our food and all I ordered was a ceasar salad, which was not even a true ceasar salad because it was covered in cheese and I was given an acidic type of dressing instead of the creamy one.
The glassware was not properly clean and the waitress thought I didn’t pay my bill although I walked right up to her and told her to keep the change.
One of the workers was walking around with a pair of scissors with the blades facing outward and he was playing with it swinging it open and close. If a child would have come running from the corner they could have seriously been hurt.
Not a place I would visit again.

Food is so fresh! Excellent bar service for moms and dads ;)… Place is super clean, lots of room for kids to burning energy. Staff is nice and very patient with the kids. My son was a bit scared of the rock climbing but the attendant today at 1pm was so kind and helpful. Lots of fun for the kids! Geared for all ages

Interesting fun zone with a lot of video games and usual jungle gyms and laser tag. Same crappy gifts that you would find in a carnival. Only thing I like about this place, and I haven’t seen this anywhere else, they have a grown up section with pool tables and a bar! If not for this I wouldn’t have even written a review. Kids like the place though (birthday party).

First time I came here I had fun. All games are fun for kids and young at heart. The first time we came the bar was close. I think they are renovating the area. Last time we visited a lot of things changed. The bar area now is open. The 2 machine to load your card isn’t working you have to wait in line to get your card reloaded and that would take a while. And some of the arcade games were gone. But I notice that there are new games that are very entertaining. I just hope that they will add more arcade games. The Lazer tag was fun but I’m hoping that they could make it better wider and put age limit for each time so adult can play with adults and kids play with kids.
If they can do this changes I guess they can survive longer. And if the machines are broken. They should add more loading station so line would be shorter and wait time will be better.

Pros: Great value for lots of family fun activities: $ 6 Laser tag, $ 5 Rope Course, $ 4 Bumper Cars, $ 3 Rock Climbing, $ 3 Indoor Golf, $ 3 Indoor Bowling, Pool tables, Transformers was a fun game, Jurassic Park was a fun game, Kung Fu Panda was a fun game, good for kids and adults, and plenty of parking on-​site.
Cons: $ 1 per game is a bit pricey for Video Games, Not enough Video game machines, no alcohol on-​site, but you can go to Round-​Up next door. I heard the food isn’t the best so I didn’t even bother with their food. I heard management is unreliable with booking parties but I had no personal experience with that. Some video game machines got repossessed, but when I was there, there was still a good number of machines, although there definitely could have been more. This place is nowhere near as big or polished as Game Time in Ybor city but still not a bad way to spend an evening if you are in the Town N Country /​West Chase area!

The food is not good, they could have done better. The wings were way over done and tasted like they were warmed up in the microwave. Also the queso was nasty.

I have no idea what is going on with this place. I went in several times to check it out since it opened because i figured I would have my son’s next birthday party here and it seemed fine. The last time I walked in was back in May 2015.
I book my Son’s party online on Saturday, Aug 31 and got a confirmation on the website and an email stating that I will receive a call within 48 hours to complete the registration and payment. I didn’t get a call on Monday, then I figured, well maybe they mean 48 «business hours.» Then on Thursday I give them a call and the boy that answered the phone stated that I had no reservation, then took my info so someone in reservations can call me later. I get a call after 6pm from a young girl. The conversation was extremely unprofessional. When I asked about it she stated that she did find my reservation, yet she was asking me all the questions that I already supplied on the website. So, she asks for my credit card info and at this point I’m uneasy. I told her that I would be there shortly to come in and pay.
So before I leave the house I check out recent reviews and find that others think this place is going down. I drove over and was greeted with a sign that said something about revamping the arcades. Hmmm another reviewer stated that they were told by a worker that the arcade games were repossessed. This confirmed it for me. I did a walk around and the bowling alley looked out of order. I asked a young boy attendant if it worked and he nonchalantly said, «ya.» Although I thought the ropes course would still be cool for the kids I just don’t think I trust the workers enough to think the kids would be safe. The cost of this birthday party isn’t cheap either, but I expected a whole lot out of it for the money. The girl on the phone stated that there are no invitations that they give you or invitations that can be printed from the website.
I am now looking for another birthday venue for my son. I don’t want to take the chance of booking this place and being extremely disappointed.
I do hope they make some changes and survive because we need an entertainment complex near Westchase. Perhaps I’ll take my family here to test it out, but I’m not willing to invite other kids at this point. Way too unprofessional for the money.

Brought my wife here for some games and food. We were seated to eat and asked what we wanted to drink. They brought our waters and then told us that the kitchen was closed. So, I decide to finish my water and while we wait, food is constantly being from the kitchen. So, we decide obviously decide to go somewhere else, but before we leave we speak to a manager about our experience and she said that the kitchen was open and we could go back and order if we like. She also stated that the staff was not on their game. Then she hand wrote a coupon for a free nacho on our next visit. Don’t think there will be another one of them.

Such mixed reviews on this place. I guess we got lucky showing up with our group on a day that the manager, Ralph, was there.
We were a group of 10 and we opted for the unlimited 2 hour blast for the kids 7 – 12 and played games with the younger ones. The older kids loved the ropes course, rock wall, laser tag, bowling and especially the bumper cars.
The only thing I would do is have the attendant at the laser tag counter have the staff card for bowling, as each time we wanted to play, he had to get the card from the front.

Not a good experience

Me and my daughter hit this place up at least once a week, everybody there is so friendly and the food is really good. Not a lot of people know about this place so I hope it picks up soon because I would hate for them to close it down.

Great place with great prices. I came with 3 boys 11 years old, one boy 13 and one girl 14. They are having a blast. Great arcade games. 5 stars!

Went to dinner at PK, deceiving. I was expecting typical play land fare. Wrong! This place is fantastic! I had a «kuban» sandwich. A cornucopia of meats fit for definitely two people to share or aT-​Rex. First of all the bun is a soft slightly sweet sort of like pan sobao. The beef patty were tasty and seemed marinated. Ham, seasoned mojo pork and Swiss cheese.

My date had the French onion soup. And it tasted home made.
She also had the chicken burrito and it was very flavorful.
The prices were right and they don’t have booze but that’s coming soon according to staff.

Went yesterday to try the restaurant since it was renovated… I must say, it is not only a huge improvement, it is Out of This World tastes. I had a Kuban, a soup and a flan and I am telling you, if you want good food and fun atmosphere, PK’s is the place to go… I would even go at lunch time during work days, it is that good.
Service was awesome, everyone was so friendly. Quality of food is incredible and the menu is one of those that make you want to order everything. It is your burger joint with a cool bit more upscale twist.
I even checked the bathrooms and everything was immaculate.
Highly recommended. Visiting again next weekend in the hopes I can eat the entire hamburger! I am on a mission!

Pretty much reminded me of chuck e cheese or dave and busters. This place was actually alot of fun for the things it had to offer. Def has a lot of potential and I would definitely come back for more as I would love to try the lazer tag and the rock climbing. There was a lot of open space and not much décor on the walls which left me thinking that there must be more to come in the near future.
We filled up a $ 20 card and it lasted us a good 2 hours of fun. Air hockey is my favorite so we played that most of the time at $ 1 a game. Most games averaged about $ 1 and there were a lot of ticket generating machines & racing video games to choose from.
We were hungry so we went to the kitchen and ordered a special but for some reason the # on the menu itself didn’t correspond to the # on the wall which was a little odd. Typical food nothing special. Pizza, chicken bites, onion rings, mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers on the menu with coke products to choose from.
No alcoholic beverages for sale at the time but they did have a location set up which looked to be for that purpose so I’m sure that will be on the way soon.

Went to a VIP Pre-​Opening event so that may be the reason for my low score however there were quite a few things that stood out. The food was less than desirable, it seems they are trying to give a number of options other than just burgers and pizza but everything from the sandwiches to the steak missed the mark in my opinion. The liquor speciality drinks they were making were one of the worst I have had since coming to Tampa and the beer was warm.
Games were fun but looking at the prices I don’t know who could afford to come and spend more than an hour at this place. Each game averaged at least $ 1.00 and very short at that. I am a huge Dave and Busters fan and was hoping this place would be comparable but so far it’s fell flat. I’ll give it one more chance to try out the pool tables but only after they get their liquor license and can serve beer. Who opens a bar when you can’t serve alcohol???

We went to the grand opening and again lastnight, (a Tuesday). My two year old son loves it. They have bumper cars, miniature golf, pool tables, mini ball bowling, a bar, (but no liquor license yet, so they can only have it catered), a grill with plenty of tables and some booths. Thye have laser tag and a ropes course and many video games. The restrooms have ample space, but paper towels were out and a roll was just sitting on the counter, not very cleanly). The games are anywhere from .50 to $ 3. I think this is pretty high considering we spent $ 7 in less than 10 minutes and one of the games were not operating correctly. We played a game that cost $ 1 and it was over in about 20 seconds. We spent about $ 30 in gaming.
Our little guy was able to run around the laser tag room with us while we played. He had a blast. (it was pretty empty with only 4 players total) in the laser tag at that moment.
There is a large section with pub tables. I haven’t seen anyone use it much. I would suggest a toddler play area or jump house in that area as I have noticed that a lot of parents with prschoolers and toddlers are coming to PKs so they can run off some energy.
The food, from what I have tried is decent for a place like this.
All the staff have been friendly and helpful. We have not experienced any attitudes from anyone and that is great considering most of them are young or teenagers.
PKs seems to be great for all ages.
We will definitely be going back.
A play kard keeps track of tickets won and the prizes can be purchase dwi as little as 20 tickets. My 2 yr. old son was able to take a prize home with him and he loves carrying his play kard.

We went on Tuesday night. It wasn’t busy. Not a bad place. Prices are comparable with Celebration Station and other kids places. Weekends are considered peak hours, and prices for ropes course, mini golf etc. are a little more.
We paid $ 6 for laser tag, $ 3 for rock climbing, and $ 5 for ropes course. Ropes course is small. Great for kids, but we love the one at MOSI. Great choices for food, but expensive. There is an area in the back for 18 and older. It has dart boards and pool tables. We had a good time, and will be back.
