Wonderful business! These guys are real lifesavers! I brought my hard drive in to see if they could recover any of the photos that I had accidentally deleted. They were able to recover over 70% of them in less than a few hours. Very reasonably priced. So thankful to have found someone to recover these priceless memories. Would recommend these gentlemen to anyone!

Took my computer into PCG to see if they could fix my keyboard. I was expecting to wait a couple days, but they fixed it that second and in 10 minutes. Awesome service!!!

I have purchase many used laptops for my self and friends and have never had an issue with any of these purchases. I’m currently using an core i7 2011 HP laptop I purchased over a year ago and it runs awesome! One quick note, There use to be a person working the front that lacked, as you say compassion for customers, he no longer works there. Check it out.

The guys at Professional Computer Group are very nice people and upfront on what your computer needs. When I first visited Professional Computer Group they help with up front answers and suggestions. Cody was nice and courteous with some helpful tips on how to maintain my gaming computer. Then I met Luis the computer technician he is very up front and straight forward with his answers he offers suggestions and better ways of installing hardware and setup.
They also offer computers, laptops and gaming computers for sale as well all in different prices from low end and high end prices. Also they sale computer upgrades for your computer and accessories.
As you can see in the picture I listed in the album Luis did an excellent job installing a PNY ssd drive and doing awesome cable management to make my gaming computer to make it awesome looking like I wanted it to be.
Overall satisfaction? I am very happy with the service from the guys at Professional Computer Group.

To be honest, I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews for these guys. All I can think is that the emotion of having a broken computer leads folks to the misunderstanding that computer techs have all the answers to fix it. Unfortunately, sometimes things break and even the smartest IT guys can’t bring it back to life.
Having said that, I recently took an old Tower in to Brett and Sam to have them do an upgrade. I had purchased all of my own parts but simply don’t have the know-​how to put it all together in a professional manner. They were very courteous, very specific about the charges, and even offered some cheap used parts for my old tower (having told them I planned to give it to my Dad).
I was told that their best (Sam) builder would be in the following day and that they would try to get my new PC on his schedule. By noon the next day I received a phone call, there was a minor issue with the motherboard I’d purchased, it didn’t have USB 2.0 slots for the front of the tower I bought and they wanted to get my input on a way forward. They offered to quote me on some simple adapters if I really wanted the functionality, I told them it wasn’t necessary and there was no pressure at all from them recommending the purchase.
By 430pm they told me that they were at the final steps of the install, and only needed to do some drivers (which would take an hour). Wouldn’t you believe it, an hour later they called to let me know to come pickup my computer.
I’ve had it home for an hour now and it is running like a dream. The quality of the install was top notch and the customer service was excellent. The prices were very reasonable (much moreso than MTI computers nearby)

I walked in to ask about repairing my moms pc but as I waited «in line» and listened to how they were treating the person in front of me, who’d paid $ 60 for a diagnostic, I walked right back out. Arrogance and impatience are not traits I need to deal with when spending the kind of cash you do on pc repairs. Headed to BB and their squad treated me like a human with a brain so I left my moms pc with them. Btw, BB doesn’t charge a diagnostic fee.

I brought in an old Alienware laptop to have the motherboard replaced. I was told I would receive a call once the issue was identified. I told them I just wanted to replace the motherboard. Nope! They’ll call you since they already know what they’re doing.
Fast forward three weeks. No calls. I call in to get the ball rolling and they haven’t even ordered the part yet.
Skip to the end. My Alienware has been at PCG for about 1 month and change. They finally have the new motherboard in. I am charged $ 450 dollars for their terrible, slow service and a $ 150 part.
Don’t make my mistakes.

I took my iMac in for general maintenance, speed issues, virus scan, etc. I was told they would have it ready within 10 days. When I didn’t receive a call within this time frame, I contacted PCG and was told they hadn’t yet worked on the computer. Finally at the 15 day mark I received a call. The desk person couldn’t really tell me what had been done but assured me everything had been taken care of. This was anything but the case… they did absolutely nothing to the computer. Not money well spent.
I don’t recommend Performance Computer Group.

This is my most absolute favorite place to get any computer repair or work done. Paul has helped me for the past few years — Whether debugging or installing virusware or helping clean my computer, i’ve always felt that I’ve been able to trust him 100% as well as receive amazing customer service. His prices are extremely fair and the quality is top notch. I rarely take the time to write a Unilocal ad unless I really mean it. Support PCG, they’re the best In the Tampa area.

Like everyone, I have traded with many computer repair shops. Most were good, and honest. But, whenever I move, which is too frequent, from necessity I find another computer repair business. PCG rocks in all the right places. Their repair service is excellent… I will take a «not feeling so well mac or windows machine» to PCG MDs, and a day or so later the machines are feeling fine. Price is completely within reason… no drama.
My mac lap was beyond repair. I had attended a seminar, and a really huge fat guy sat on my laptop. Curses!!! Of course, curse me too because I was the mental midget that left the lap on the chair (with an attached sticker…“Please sit on me”). Brett handled the situation professionally. I asked if he could assist me with options for buying a greatly reduced in price lap. And he did just that… told me everything about the used lap he was selling I needed to know in order to make an informed decision.
Macs are not a problem here. I have one that was used in a past life as an anchor. It had probs! Brett fixed it, and importantly, did not charge me a huge premium because it was Mac.

I received a call from Brett on ⁷⁄₁₆ requesting that I amend my review. We actually had a decent conversation and I asked him if anything in my original review was inaccurate? We both agreed that it may be worded a bit harshly but the facts were authentic. I do appreciate that Brett reached out to me and offered an apology.

As far as computer stores go, this one is perfect for anybody who wants to get something custom without having to pay an arm and a leg. They are definitely on top of their game when it comes to laptops. I do a lot of work remotely, which means my office is sometimes wherever I can get a good wi-​fi signal, so my laptop has to be running like a champ. I was having an issue with some kind of virus I picked up from somewhere and tried my best to Google the answer, but I am no professional at diagnosis. As soon as I walked into their store in South Tampa, I knew right away these people wanted to help. I even got attention from the store owner, Brett. It really says something when an owner is still willing to man the front lines of their business. I was given all my options for repair up front and they even told me exactly what they were going to do before they did it. I was only down for about a day and a half and they were even able to upgrade me for a small upcharge. I have taken my laptop to a few of the big name tech shops and never had an experience as nice as this one. I would recommend PCG to anyone who needs their computer fixed.

I took my laptop to PCG, told them what the problem was, gave them my info and they said it would be eight to ten days to fix. They would call me and tell me what the problem was right away. Fourteen days later I called them. They said they didn’t have my phone number which really scared me because I did give them my e mail and they didn’t respond there either. They sorta repaired the laptop but I ended up going to Tiger Direct. They ended up getting it back to running correctly.
I didn’t think of Tiger Direct initially to go there first.
They also do the «If you go with this you get that and if you do that you get this», thing.
The employees, I encountered seemed worn out. Like they had been there to long to care about the customer.

Sudden need of a new computer prompted my second visit to South Tampa’s Performance Computer Group. The first time was for service for that same computer. I new I was on borrowed time but had not planned on gifting myself with new technology at this time. Fortunately the staff was attentive, knowledgeable, really listened to my likes and dislikes and provided me with valuable input without pressuring me to spend a certain amount of money or purchase a particular product.
I could have spent more time researching and running around town checking for better deals but that was not a luxury that was likely or available. I downloaded a voucher for this business from the Unilocal site which provided a nice incentive.
Within hours the data from my old model was transferred into my sleek new machine, virus protection locked and loaded and it was ready for pick up. There was a slight glitch that made it difficult for me to locate some of the data but a quick return trip to the store right at closing time provided prompt assistance that re-​organized files into a more user-​firendly format.
The staff is pleasant, courteous, computer-​savvy and they are close by if — and when — they are needed again. They offered in-​store assistance as well as the opportunity for someone to go online and work with me virtually or even to send someone out for a home visit if necessary.
What could have been a painful and costly process was thankfully prompt, pleasant and not too pricey.

Love PCG. They fixed my water-​soaked Macbook like new and recovered all my data. They are professional and dedicated. Highest recommendation.
