Party City of Tampa

Terrible location. Not enough parking. Store is small and overcrowded. Customer service is average. Be careful of overpriced items.

Great selection of everything you would ever imagine buying for a party. Each time I have visited they have had what I needed in stock and I haven’t had a problem finding anything. Although this store is great for this side of town, the parking at this location is horrible!

Party City is my go-​to place when I need miscellaneous supplies for a themed party, tailgate, or Halloween. Yes — parking during ‘season’ can be a hassle because they have just a few spots up front. However, there is also a parking lot behind the store, so if you just hang out, spots open quickly due to a steady turnover of people.
For tailgates, they have displays of merchandise for most local teams, and I have always been able to find USF Bulls gifts, tablecloths, napkins, etc. They also carry a lot of Buccaneer items.
There are also various displays for every holiday, weddings, birthdays, bachelorette parties, kids parties, etc. This is a great place to get latex/​foil balloons for any celebration.
Halloween is really where this store shines. Aisle after aisle of different themes, costumes, theatrical makeup, and accessories. Even if you have no idea what costume you are looking for, this is the perfect place to get ideas. I love that a few weeks before Halloween they had plenty of cashiers ringing people up, anticipating that all of October would be crazy busy. They also had a lot of staff walking the floor, asking people if they needed assistance. Good touch!
Random thoughts: There is almost always a coupon available online, so check there first before you go. Know that the store itself is older, pretty beat up, and the aisles are narrow. Store layout can be confusing, so ask for help instead of getting aggravated. Prices are pretty comparable to online, though — I actually bought something here for $ 2 less than I saw it online.

I think this store would do much better at a different location. The parking is insanely small, people will park anywhere and block you in without any problems. The location itself it’s smaller than expected. As fas as Halloween customs they have a good variety. I don’t know which days would be better to go to this store but I would personally avoid the weekend madness.

The store is pretty easy to navigate through on your own, they always get great decorations. New Halloween, fall and seasonal holiday stuff is pretty well stocked, but the costumes aren’t the best quality. especially for the price.

This review is based solely on the customer service I got while in the store. Parking is a pain, the aisles in the store are very close together, and I got a little claustrophobic while shopping but the employees were terrific. Every time I turned down a new aisle there was an employee asking if he could help me. And they did, they helped me find everything I was looking for quickly and easily. Otherwise I still might be lost in the Party City maze…

The quality of the party decorations and Halloween costumes at Party City are not great, but where else can you get all of your party needs in one store?
I visited Party City during my search for 50’s themed decorations and the staff’s reply was «You mean hippie stuff?» (Wrong era!!!) Luckily, one of the employees knew what I was looking for and was able to direct me to the right section of the store. The store can be a little chaotic and parking is a bit of a pain when the lot is full, but I was able to find everything I needed and I had a coupon so I walked out of the store happy.
The 50’s cat eye glasses and Elvis wig I bought were completely junk and thrown out after one use so I wouldn’t shop here if you are looking for a long term purchase.

When it comes to writing a review for places like this it comes down to customer service and maybe if the store is clean that gives the place a good rating to me because nothing is different from one party city to another… okay I’m done with the pre-​review speech. Came here for halloween costumes for a party we were invited to and they have a nice selection for everyone from jersey shore to sexy chuckie. We ended up finding something after circling the store once and Im glad we came when we did because it want busy at all. Vikki found a costume for $ 20 the deals are here you just have to search!

No Party City has a more confusing interior than this Party City. The workers cannot even point you in the right direction, but it does not really matter that you cannot navigate the store because no matter where you go there is quality stuff for you to buy everywhere. They even carry electronics such as a mini-​fan for when you are in the blazing Florida sun.
